Maybe they’re adjusting their spice or salt level too low so that their target customers, who have never tried authentic Korean food and have a low tolerance for spice, will like it. But the worst part was that they didn’t cook the sundubu jjigae properly. I found clam shells several times. Luckily, I noticed them all before I swallowed, but they’re not okay. If I hadn’t noticed them, I would’ve been injured by these sharp shells. If they can’t cook the seafood properly, they shouldn’t be serving it on the menu. The hospitality was also poor. The menu listed fried cauliflower, which would’ve made a bit more sense, since a crunchy fried filling would’ve been a nice contrast to the soft flour taco. This filling however, felt completely out of place and didn’t belong in a taco. It was too soft and saucy, the flavours leaned more Mediterranean than Korean, and it didn’t hold up well in a soft flour tortilla - it would’ve been better served over rice. And what a wonderful dessert it was. Fresh, cold and cleansed the palate. I think we were worried they would have to roll us out of the restaurant. The other diners seemed to be local residents with a few Koreans, which we took to be a good sign. The service was excellent and the decor was a nice blend of industrial design and what I think a Korean restaurant should be. The toal cost including service was £133 which seemed a very reasonable price for a two course meal for 5 including drinks. We all said we would return. So my overall score is a 10/10 for a great restaurant. Just don't eat for a few days beforehand. And a huge thank you to all the staff working on 31st August and for taking great care of us.

We ordered half garlic soy, half sweet chilli and they were both so good. The pieces are big and juicy and the chicken is good quality. There was so much flavour in each bite. The seasoned fries are not to sleep on either, and are also probably one of the best I’ve had at any chicken place. It took a while for our food to arrive, but it was worth the wait. We were lucky to be seated quickly by the friendly waiter as the restaurant is quite small and popular even on a random Monday evening. We came in for a wee birthday lunch yesterday with my two pals and their baby and it couldn't have been a more blissful experience. The front of house guy had such a welcoming, lovely soul and made us feel so cosy and looked after. He gave us a perfect run down of all the dishes and was always there when we needed him but never in a way that felt intrusive. We got every dish on the menu and we tried to nail down our favourites after we left but honestly couldn't, every single dish banged. If I had to, special shout out to the bulgogi beef (literally the most buttery soft, melt in the mouth cut I've ever had), kimchi fritters, KFC and the pork with fregola which is, again, not really narrowing it down - it was all so good. The desserts were absolutely knock-out as well, not too rich, but complex in flavour. Prices are super reasonable, ours was just a wee bit more expensive because we went all out and bought a fancy bottle of wine, cocktails and some insanely good desert wine.
