We ordered tons of food before hearing someone yell “last call” which when we asked apparently they only open until midnight during the week which hasn’t been updated online. Nice vegetarian options on the late night menu which was clutch. Overall they were tested unexpectedly and nailed it!! Will be saving this spot for future trips!!

The only thing I truly enjoyed from this place before that awkward experience a few days ago was the ability to write on the wall and the display of the license plates from all around, also on the wall. Truly saddened by my experience because this place does have great potential. Plenty of parking. Despite looking busy all the time we would drive near it. So logic states, if always busy, warrents at least a try. Members with me needed higher seating for medical reasons. So happy to walk in and see immediate bar stools, but booths w individual tvs are slightly raised as well. There was also good screened in areas to dine as well. Was it a little cramped and noisy yes but it wasn't horrible and the waitress was very attentive. Food options were abundant and not just limited to typical bar fare. Though having an entire page just for apps is always a plus at a bar. However they did have salads, wraps, burgers and a couple of entrees. So, yes, carnivores and vegans alike will have options. As was said at the table " that burger looks beer worthy." Was it a bit loud? Yes, it's a bar w so many tvs but not too loud. Was the chicken a bit dry? Yes but that happens. Will it prevent a repeat visit to explore more of it's extensive menu? Absolutely not. Word of caution for those that have this concern though, I was told the bathrooms that are right next to the front door might be singular for each. Always find that weird in a restaurant especially one as big as this one.

The lower ratings likely have are the result of many reasons. Our visit was on a Saturday around 6pm. It was moderately busy, most booths were occupied in the main area, but the high tabletops were empty. At the time of our visit it was seat yourself. We found an open booth, seated ourselves and waited...and waited...and waited. Others came in, sat at the hightops and were served by wait staff. My partner finally grabbed a couple of menus from the bar area as we continued to wait. Having enough, my partner finally asked a passing employee to let the wait staff know we had not been seen. A few minutes later a friendly waitress appeared and took our order; we waited so long we knew what we wanted. Our orders came out fairly quickly and were correct however the quality wasn't what we expected from numerous prior visits. Our orders included sandwiches and wraps which were dry and heavily salted. The waitress was attentive throughout our dining; we finished and tipped our standard 20%. A few takeaways. We don’t penalize wait staff for food quality nor for short staffing which they appeared to be, as long as they are putting forth a good effort, which they were. Also, Handleys menu has changed, not for the better, over the past few years. Several popular items were removed. Food quality has also deteriorated. Sadly this will be our last visit to Handleys, a place we used to enjoy.

We dined on a Tuesday around 6 and the place was not packed at all. our bill was over $200. For that price point I expected better bar food.
