We tried to use the QR code on the table to order more drinks and more food but the items we wanted were not on the menu online. When they finally came over they left the dirty plates that were now neatly stacked at the end of the table. The cocktails were too sugary and were filled halfway which is mental for a 12£ drink. Finished it in three SMALL sips. Taste was fine but overall would pick somewhere else if you’re a foodie. Can’t comment on the view because we were on the first floor but I’m sure it’s lovely based on photos.

We were lucky to find this restaurant&bar just before their kitchen closed. The waitress pushed us to be hurry but we choose two of the best foods from their menu which were calamari and fish&chips. They don't offer various beer options so we choosed 2 different IPAs which were good enough. Atmosphere is really nice to spend time with your friends. Prices are similar to most of the Edinburgh bars.

The place feels quite out of the way and surprisingly like you aren't even in the centre of town. The seating is all outdoors although there are tables under marquee type things to shelter under if the weather turns or you aren't a fan of sitting in the sun like me. Our voucher was for a glass of Prosecco each and 6 small plates to share. The Prosecco was delicious and there were also a good amount of cocktails and softdrinks to choose from on the menu. The food was delicious too, there were only 7 small plate options and of those 4 were vegetarian (all but one containing cheese though so be aware if you have this voucher to check of they have vegan alternatives). Since my friend and I are quite adventurous we ordered one of everything. This meal was our dinner and it was actually the perfect amount. Most of the plates arrived with 2 or 3 of each thing on it so it wasn't too much. We got a few chicken things, mozzarella sticks, halloumi and stuffed peppers. Everything was hot and tasty. The cocktails were nice too and not as pricey as I'd expected. Overall a nice place to grab drinks and some food. From looking at the menu the food options aren't too numerous, it's not necessarily somewhere i would book just to get a meal, but a nice atmosphere, providing the weather holds up! My only tiny complaint was that the ordering system was QR code based and for some reason neither mine nor my friends phones could connect which meant trying to flag down wait staff when we needed something. As most people were using the app there weren't as many staff around so there was sometimes a small wait to find someone, but that is a technical fault rather than a direct issue with this place! The actual staff were lovely and accommodating and totally understanding that the site wasn't working! Overall definitely recommend for drinks, a great place especially with the summer and the festival, adding a nice atmosphere!

Our server was great, friendly, knowledgable and interested in our night without being overbearing, I didn't catch her name but she was a highlight. It was my wife's birthday and as a nice touch they brought out a couple of birthday chocolates. Very classy. Overall this venue is definitely worth a visit and even on a piss wet Scottish day. With current COVID-19 restrictions we were lucky to get a table without booking. The staff were excellent - very helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. We were greeted by the lovely maitre d’ who showed us to our table in an unusually quiet restaurant. When we enquired about sitting out on the balcony, we were told that this area was closed for the evening, even although there was around another hour left of service and instead were sat in the bar at the window which is equally as nice, but not on a hot sunny day. We were shortly served by the waitress who reminded us at around 18:45 that they closed at 8pm as she took our drinks order. Our drinks arrived at around 18:55 and by 19:15 we were approached to say that last orders are being taken. We made another order for cocktails and we seemed frowned upon for making this choice even although the bar is open until 8pm. No sooner had the drinks been placed another waiter came over around 19:25 and placed our bill down and fetched the card machine for payment, we both felt rushed and more so as the staff started assembling behind us in their outside clothes and sighing loudly! We were really disappointed by this, as we are regular visitors to the bar and have never received service like this previously.
