We were a party of 6 on a Sunday evening and we were absolutely floor with the flavor combinations we were presented. We ordered spinach and artichoke dip to start, it came with nacho chips. It was OK, but definitely had better. I ordered Camp counselors chicken - grilled chicken breast brushed with orange citrus glaze and topped with pineapple mango salsa. Comes with vegetable and choice of rice or potato. I selected baked potato. The vegetable served with both meals was squash. The meal was good and filling. I couldn't finish it, especially after having the appetizer. I did find the orange glaze was a bit strong so it overpowered the salsa. My son had Jake's teriyaki salmon. He selected rice for his side. It also came with sesame ginger slaw, which was under the salmon. He really enjoyed his meal. He preferred his over mine. Not sure why we thought dessert was a good idea, but we ordered a slice of Paradise chocolate cake. I did have just a small bite to try it but I dont care for cake, so my son was on his own finishing this. Needless to say we relaxed for a few hours after all this food. Lol. It says to me that the owners don’t care about putting out a quality product and just figure they can overcharge for garbage food because it’s a tourist area. BOTH dinners we ordered a single entree of bbq meatloaf with mashed taters, mashed butternut squash, and green beans, with a side of their tangy/spicy (for New England) Brussels sprouts between two of us and had more than enough. And we picked up a 4 pack of Moat Mtn Opa's Oktoberfest Marzen. The food and beer were outstanding both nights. And this is from someone that has access to world-class Texas bbq in Houston. We got each meal to go to eat in our room, but the restaurant is located in a cool old historic home. I look forward to more epic meatloaf and sprouts (and of course hiking) on our next White Mtn trip.

The place was bumping with the patio completely full & a busy dining room, luckily I was able to score a couple seats at the bar. This place has been in operation since 2000, making it the states oldest Brewpub going over twenty-five years now. I recently had their VALLEY PASTIME IPA during a tasting which was really good & have always been a huge fan of the blueberry fruit beer so I was looking forward to scooping one of those right from the tit. There was a good selection of styles on including lagers, pilsners, browns, IPA's & more, but I went mostly festive with my three beers this visit. 🍻🍻🔥☘🍁 I started off with a pint of the OPA'S OKTOBERFEST Marzen which was a above average, sweet Marzen that was super easy drinking. My second pint was the delicious MS V'S BLUEBERRY Fruit Beer, a favorite of mine anytime I've had it over the years. My third beer of the visit was a 20oz pour of the excellent OMA'S FEST BIER Marzen which was awesome & had a great smooth caramel finish, my favorite of the two seasonal beers I had. 🍻🍻🍻🍁🍁 The restaurant is really large inside with multiple dining rooms & a decently sized bar. There is all the seating options inside with tables, hightops, bar seating & a good size patio area outside. The staff at the bar were all really friendly & I ran into a couple regulars from my previous serving job in Manchester, NH a year or so ago which was nice. The decor inside is fun to look at & there is plenty on the walls to check out. The parking lot was packed, but was big enough to still have no problem getting a spot. There was plenty of beer to go for home or tastings with friends later. Overall a great return trip & I'm sure I'll be making my way back in a few years hopefully for some of that bomb BBQ & more new beers. Great cheese, sauce was great and the crust was cooked perfectly. Dough appears to be fresh, not frozen. As a Bostonian, it was up to par with a good local pizza joint. Only reason not to give 5 stars is that there appears to be some communication issues with the back door which leads to a deck where you can sit and eat. There is a door that leads to the deck (outside eating area) does not have any “exit only sign” or “employees only” and it was mentioned by a older staff member several times to different patrons who were eating on the deck that “this is not an entrance, but that’s ok”. I mean, if you are going to have an issue with your patrons wanting to go back inside for something and wanting them to walk back down the side of the building to the other door, put a sign on the door that says “EXIT ONLY”. Having to be reprimanded was somewhat obnoxious. Another suggestion I had is to add a trash receptacle or place to put your pizza boxes. There are two waste bins, one for recycling and one for trash which is labeled “no pizza boxes”. They serve you your pizza in boxes even if you are eating outside so are you supposed to keep them as souvenirs? I would go there again but have to remind myself of the rules.
