As some other posters have mentioned, it was great for long distance running. If you follow the directions to "Los Gatos Creek Trail", you'll end up at a parking lot where they require your dollars to pay, which of course, I just parked on the street and walked in. I ain't payin no trolls toll! Anyway, the trail goes on basically forever, and I ran all the way down to the Lexington Reservoir and back, which netted just under 14 miles. I'm not 100% where all the trail leads, or if it just keeps going around the reservoir, but I imagine that I will find out someday. As far as human traffic goes, I wasn't bothered by large amounts of people. The flow seems to go pretty smoothly (I was there around 15:00) and there didn't seem to be loads of people. Might be crazier at different times, though, not sure. I highly suggest this trail if you are unsure of some great long distance areas. I definitely didn't want to do a half-marathon on a treadmill. Dogs terrify wildlife and they are not allowed on the trails. In the campground there are primitive campsites some with a built shade arbor (that allow dogs on leash), very few that are level. In addition there are many beautiful primitive walk in sites and quite a few backpackers on the weekend. What this all means is tons of wildlife, no generators, dark skies full of stars and birds in the morning.
