We also had the mutton samosas which were ok for the main entrees we had the Xacuti Goat but it was not as tender or tasty . The fish curry was ok we had rice and chapati. So clearly this place is popular with tourists. This was Sunday and it helps as many other choices were closed

The restaurant is located not far from the central action packed area of Lisbon although in a less busy alley. It’s run by a family from Panjim, so it was authentic Goan food. The decor is bit dated and setup is surely 15-20 years old, at least looks that way. The place was fairly occupied by clients, many of them regulars. The menu was not elaborate but had few things for everyone. We ended up ordering some fish, prawns and pork based dishes. The food was quite good, very much like home cooking in Goa, to that’s a 👍, though in my opinion the serving size was small for the price. Service was fine, slightly slower than we are used to, but that’s part of Portugal and Goa ! Overall a good experience.

The staff here are pretty exceptional and made us feel right at home. From the start, they clearly described the menu and how to night would run. They were very attentive throughout the evening and ensured they gave us enough space at the same time. We even took a break half way through the meal which they were very accommodating. The food was fantastic, each dish delivered was very well presented and the flavours were spot on. Not overly complicated but fresh and well balanced. Lots of fish dishes which we love. The restaurant itself is stunning, just the right noise level where we didn't feel like we were in a library and had to whisper like in other restaurants we have been to. We ended up chatted to the couple beside us who were also enjoying the experience like us. We will most certainly be back on our next visit to Lisbon.

But this main course, this amazing main course was the best i have EVER had, the cousion was amazing, the foie gras melted like butter with an amazing crispy outside en the jus de veaux with it was so deep in flavour it brought tears to my eyes. If you plan on doing for sunset dinner then definitely dress warm and take blankets. Conveniently, there was a restaurant just a few steps from our hotel. The curries were wonderfully aromatic and flavourful, though the Rogan Josh initially turned out too salty for my liking. We tried the eight course and got a couple of PHENOMENAL wine recommendations from our server and the Sommelier. Our evening was so enjoyable and our 8pm dinner quickly turned into us leaving after 11pm...we were so pleased and full we tried to cut our dessert courses short since other staff were going home. Our team wouldn't allow it and even allowed us time for an extra birthday course to celebrate our friend. With each course and story behind it we fell more in love with this place. They are dedicated to preserving the waters in which the food comes from and Portugese tradition shines through in each dish. Loved our experience here and highly recommend a visit. Saffron eel stew with black garlic. Wow. There was so much depth to this dish without it being overpowering or overwhelming. Yet again a wonderful balance of flavors. Octopus rice. I had a lot of octopus in Portugal but this was such a standout. It is the one thing on their menu that does not change (I can see why). It has dried octopus roe on top, which is unlike anything I have tasted which adds a different level of texture and umame to the dish. The atomsphere in this restaurant was great. Not pretentious but still fine dining. I am recommending it to my friends who are going to Lisbon next month. I went to a two Michelin star tasting menu while on this trip, and I have to say I enjoyed this restaurant much more, both the atmosphere and the flavors. They were much more creative and interesting, and it felt like a tribute to the place I was visiting.
