I was only here for one night for buisness and needed somewhere that would seat 1 person. Some other restaurants in the area don't (which when walking past, where nearly empty so made no sense 🤷). I ordered water, three different cocktails, a starter, a main, a side and a desert. Cocktails : cranberry blossom and apple, blackberry and lychee, ameretto sour. The cranberry blossom and apple cocktail was so good and definitely my favorite but the ameretto sour was one of the better ones I've tried. Starter: pork and shiitake dumplings with dipping sauce. I didn't expect these to be crunchy dumplings, but wow they were tasty! I could have eaten a fair amount of them 😂 there was 6 that came out as a starter so you could easily share with someone if you wanted to. Main: red Thai curry with chicken. Not the most spicy Thai curry I've had but the slices of red and green pepper made up for it. While the curry and rice was cooked perfectly, the chicken used wasn't the best quality and tasted like precooked and sliced chicken put into a curry sauce so this really let the dish down. Side: wok fried greens. I fully under estimated the size of this dish. Normally side dishes as big enough for just one person but the amount given was enough for 2-4 people I would say. However, this side dish was lovely and even had some of the sauce it was cooked in at the bottom which I dipped my veg in for an extra bit of taste. Desert: while limited due to most not being available I did end up ordering sticky toffee pudding. And this was the most upsetting dish for me, it was okay but again not the nicest one I've had. While sticky toffee pudding is somewhat sickly sweet this was more overly sickly and tasted like parkin with sickly sweet toffee. Service: I mainly had a lovely young lady, I think her name was Alex. She was super friendly and polite. I do wish I was given a warning on the size of the side dish as if I had known, I wouldn't have ordered. I did explain that I was listening to a book and I felt that this was fully respected because when ever I was checked in on, it was with hand gestures or a quick "you okay?" which ment I could continue to listen. This was a little thing but it was very appreciated. I did have a few others deliver my drinks or dishes. They were also lovely, didn't hover and just left me to it. Which again, is appreciated. I know taste preference varies from person to person so I have only reduced the stars to 4 on food however, this place definitely deserves 5 stars. And for guidance for others, I spent £77 on my meal including all cocktails. Removing the cocktails alone would reduce the bill to £47

I feel like the experience here would have been totally different if we had visited on Saturday night instead. The atmosphere felt generally uninspiring, most of the tables hadn't been cleaned from the night before with sticky mess, liquid and hair on some of them. We hosted a surprise 75th & 80th birthday at the venue, with guests ranging from 40 and upwards, and we all had an absolute blast. The pub is a bright, warm and very pleasant place to be.The staff we met seemed happy and enjoyed the job. We asked to take photos and they were really cool with it. They also told us the menu will change in 6 weeks time too. We ordered two Signature Burgers. One Rosemary and Parmesan. Cheese cake, brownie. Was a costly adventure but super well worth it. The ingredients were nice and different for the taste. The amount of skin on fries in the cups was plenty and had a lush taste and crisp. The cheese cake stole the show in looks and taste, The cake had shortbread up the side too which I enjoyed. The popcorn and chocolate sauce were so pleasing. The steaks are top notch and come with various cuts, sauces and sides cooked to your own preference. You can substitute and take off anything you don’t like or want and in some cases swap the meat in the burgers to halloumi which is a great alternative. The lunch menu of £10 for steak and frites is a bargain and today the steak was the best steak we've ever had from here. We found this pub on a rainy April afternoon after walking for ages looking for a dog friendly establishment. They welcomed the 10 of us with open arms. It was a Wednesday afternoon so it wasn't to busy. Our kids were delighted with the choices they had after one of the staff went to chat to the chef about what they could have. From ordering to having food in front of us room about 20 minutes. Perfect size portions and a fantastic service. The staff went out of the way to show how dog friendly they were, with drinks and treats for both of them. We travelled from Scotland and had booked this as it was a good deal and done via a third party site that I booked the whole trip and activities through. The venue is lovely inside, had plenty of other Hen parties and the atmosphere was good. The waitress attending to us was really friendly and couldn't have done enough for us. I was however disappointed, the brunch was pre-booked but despite having it on my order that fries were on the 2 P&P bagels - they came with salad. Which wasn't a big issue but there was then a dispute when I pointed this out, and had a sheet waved at me by the manager insisting they had it as salad, so I showed on my phone that fries had been ordered, to which a very unamused manager said she would go sort it. The fries didn't make an appearance till everyone had finished their food. The drinks I'm convinced had little to no alcohol in them, we had the orchard apple spritz, the first one was lovely but there was no consistency to them, so when the next round came, each one tasted different. Getting the drinks was also an issue, as there were very long wait times between ordering drinks and them coming to the table, they also wouldn't let you order your next drink until you had drank half of the one you had, so you couldn't even try to skip the long wait by ordering ahead. And lastly when we got the bill there was yet again an issue. The brunch had already been paid via the booking site I used however as 3 people had opted for food from the main menu, there should have been a balance of £15 only. I was charged £24. There were drinks put through as if we hadn't ordered the specified drinks from the brunch menu, which was never the case. Given it was a Hen party and we didn't want the Bride to involve herself, we queried it, which then had the manager bring over a piece of paper with some hand written sums on it which again didn't add up as it should only ever have been £15. However as we had planned to leave a £10 tip to our server, who was absolutely fabulous, I cannot stress enough how much my issues are not with our server, we didn't push the matter any further, but it just meant she didn't get her tip. The manager, her attitude and some of the service, just really let the afternoon down. And something that should have been totally seamless given it was all pre-booked and settled with just a monetary top up for the main menu, it really wasn't. It felt there was issue after issue. The food however was lovely and warm, filling as well. Everyone enjoyed what they had and commented how lovely it was and very decent portions, there were more fries under the chicken in the photo.

They have a very few options available and that too they prepare. We had limited options of bottomless drinks and even after trying 4 different alcoholic drinks, I couldn't feel the liquor in it. The shooting games were good, especially when you are with your friends and colleagues. The guns lack in recoil/force feedback, which is the biggest drawback.
