We also got a side order of the shrimp stuffing balls—think hushpuppies stuffed with shrimp. They were fantastic! Creme Brulee for dessert was also great. Portions were perfect, we didn't finish anything. Price was honestly under what we expected and spent less than $90 for 2 entrees, side order of stuffing balls, and dessert. Environment was fantastic and I so much to look at in there! We can't wait to come back and hopefully get Dwayne! Management, if you see this, please let Dwayne know he provided top tier experience and really made our dining experience exceptional.

Did a quick Google review and realize I'm missing out of some great food. Arrive early Saturday evening for dinner, was seated quickly. Got our drink order and app fairly quickly also. With help of the waiter, ended up getting the seawall platter and shrimp po boy. I ended up going with blackened shrimp and fish with Mac. It was delicious, along with the large soft roll. Wife only down side was that the po boy didn't have a remoulade sauce to go with the sandwich. Couldn't eat dinner without dessert, their award winning ganache pecan brownie with ice cream. For us there was to much ganache and chocolate sauce, but once we scrap it away and are the brownie it was pretty good. Would def recommend trying this place out if you haven't. I will come back to try other dishes the next time we're in Galveston. Another nice feature was the upstairs outdoor patio where they serve cold drinks with a great view. No need to purchase anything to check out the patio and seating.

It's just as colorful and vibrant as we remembered, although the portions are BIGGER than we remembered. And the flavor of those red beans and rice is outta this world - the broth is very rich, with a deep, smoky taste. The onion rings were piping hot, sweet and tender on the inside and very crunchy on the outside, just as they should be. The ice-cold locally-brewed draft beer went down well with this meal. When we asked for it, this server said, “Oh, you guys didn’t get it?” Obviously not, everyone else had white plates with bread to munch on and we didn’t even have a plate. Please do not do that, wait a few minutes before we finish to come ask, “Are you guys still working on your plates?”. If a table orders one dessert and there’s more than one person, then bring them small plates. Small plates with napkins and spoon on top. I asked for medium rare and one side was overcooked and the other side was medium rare. You need to let your steak sit in room temp, get it on a nice sear but lay the thicker side on the sear first if it’s an uneven steak, then baste well. If I’m expecting top notch steak, as it’s supposed to be a steakhouse, the temperature should be even on both ends. If the difference between the ends are too vast for an even cook, please adjust the size. You guys should know this. The actual medium rare side was also chewy, I should not have a hard time swallowing a new york strip — it’s not a chuck roast. Overall, the oysters were great. They were plump, sandless, and juice was still on the shells. Props for the crackers on there, it’s good for people who can’t stomach oysters as well. Cake was good but could be more moist. What a delightful place! You’re gonna have to wait bc that’s just life but it’s worth it. The server was friendly, he made great recommendations and The food was delicious. We got the Waffle & Eggs with a side of potatoes and the Chicken and Waffles. The waffles were amazing, their homemade strawberry butter is out of this world and did i mention the potatoes. I'm embarrassed to say I didn't even get a chance to take a before photo just an AFTER cause I was digging in too fast. The étouffée was delicious, the catfish was soft, flaky, and crispy at the same time. The grilled squash was delightful as well. I feel so bad that I can't remember our waitress' name but 10 outta 10 service. I cant wait for our next Galveston trip so I can come back here again!

The sunset view is supposed to be amazing, but we had a rainy day. We started with a French onion amuse bouche. The atmosphere is interesting, and resembles an older, kind of smoky bar. Not a lot of seating on the 1st floor but we were seated quickly with a reservation. With a larger group there is an automatic 20% gratuity added to the bill, and many servers who know this might not really hustle...BUT our waitress, Guinevere, really shone through. We ordered a side of fries and received maybe 20 fries for $6. The person sitting across the table from us received a steak that was raw in the middle, after they had ordered a well done steak.
