This is a must stop if you love volleyball, people watch, walk, drink, or just soak up some sun. It's a more trendier beach for sure. There's scooter rentals, about 3 tiki bars right on the beach, benches all around the beach, tons of volleyball nets, an awesome concession stand w decent prices (serve alcohol too), and clean bathrooms. I was so impressed with how clean everything looked. There's cops always somewhere near, so it felt safe and they were friendly too! The beach itself is a little rougher and deeper. Might not be as great for the little ones. This is a great place for pictures too as besides having the beach view, there's a bridge, a woodsy walking path and large white rocks near the water edge. I'm coming back next time to sit in that tiki bar and enjoy a cold one! After my swim of course lol

Hope you enjoy and stay safe, no life guard on beach that I saw but there’s a nice bar and grille at the entrance of the beach with a bunch of tables outdoor and bathrooms and showers, also can rent reclining sun bathing chairs for ten bucks each and 5$ extra for a cushion. Also we got lucky and there’s a guy on a side by side helping people with rides and hauling your stuff which was really nice of him and saved us a long walk with our cooler and bags and backpacks. They do have military, senior, and student discounts. Don't go to the house check in at the gift shop first. Directly across from the gift shop is a free parking lot. The tour was right around an hour long. We got to tour all three floors of the mansion. They do have an elevator for guests to use. Our docent/ tour guide was great. She answered all of our questions and provided tons of information. When we went the front of the mansion was getting construction. It didn't affect the tour at all. After the tour we went back into the gift shop and bought a Pabst blue Ribbon ice cold beer. It was a great way to end the day. Everyone was super nice, and accommodating. The main lot fills quickly so you have to be bussed from a remote lot. That’s difficult when I’m bringing my 78-year-old mother. Aside from that, it’s one of our favorite fall excursions. We drive an hour from Chicago and it’s absolutely worth the drive.

A bit late to the game, I know, and I wish I would have made an effort sooner. What struck me first is how large it is, and that it's entirely fenced in. There's a large, accessible public bathroom, and pretty clean too. Huge sections of the play equipment is accessible for wheelchairs and those with limited mobility. There's a lot of climbing equipment, especially rope gear in configurations I haven't seen anywhere else. The merry-go-round is flush with the ground and almost no gap, making wheelchair access super easy. Plenty of play areas for 2-5-year-olds, as well as the older kids. Much of the interactive equipment is music themed due to its location on the summerfest grounds. And last but not least, plenty of covered bench / picnic table seating.
