From first contact with the staff, they were accommodating, friendly and attentive via email etc and the birthday booking experience was simple and hassle free. We arrived at the farm today and the garden room, where the party was, was fully equipped with tea and coffee making facilities for adults, Bluetooth speaker, clean and spacious and a little play park and pic nic tables outside the room. We were greeted by our host Sarah, who deserves a medal for her energy and enthusiasm. She gave us a guided tour of the farm and was super fun and engaging, with a great knowledge on all the animals. The kids were so entertained. The farm has so many excellent resources for kids - play parks, sand pit, tractor rides, barrel rides, a foam party, jumping pillows, a magical fairyland forest and jurassic park walk - PLUS so many adorable animals. We went back to the party room after meeting loads of the animals and had hot food served for the kids. The food was delicious. We had sandwiches and gourmet Sausage rolls served for the parents and everyone commented on how beautiful the food was. From start to finish every single guest spoke about the friendly staff. Stress free, family vibe and well organised - great place for a kids party. We will be back

Also my family donated some items to the museum and I was really interested in seeing them. We arrived not knowing what to expect really however I can 100 percent say that I am so glad we visited. With your entry fee (which was very reasonable) you get a tour round the museum. Our tour guide was John and he was very knowledgeable, he made the visit for us! He made it exciting and could answer all the questions we threw at him. The museum itself is really well done and the reconstructions were brilliant (I won't spoil the surprise for you). At the end we discovered that the staff there were volunteers which made it even more special as it just shows that they genuinely love the subject. At the end we were very kindly shown the objects that were donated which were amazing to see. We left feeling enlightened and humbled by the men that fought and gave their lives. A must see if you are in the area, if you aren't in the area then get yourself in the area as it's not something to be missed 🙂 Thank you to the staff that we met that day.

We took the bus from Laganside which was very easy (though the direct bus is not very frequent so you need to plan ahead). There is the kiln room, and miller's family home to visit, plus a large farming shed. With interesting interpretation in writings and how the buildings and rooms were laid out for working and living. There working models of mill stones where you can grind wheat. Our guide was knowledgeable and shared interesting insights into history of the windmill, and it's mechanical uniqueness. Being able to walk inside the windmill up to the top, and see the mechanics, the wood and metal work and mill stones was a good experience. The explaination and demonstration of how the sails worked by the guide was sightful. There is a nice visitor centre with cafe. Definitely worth a visit!

The sea on our visit was crystal clear and the area very clean and well maintained.
