The museum has provision for young children with sensory needs and even provides an opportunity for a hands-on experience, named as "Handling collection". It hosts more than 200 animals and other items from the founder's expeditions in Asia and Africa. The house also hosts interesting exhibits, along with spectacular furniture and tapestries, amongst which an authentic Napoleon's drawing and his hair (!) Our guide, Margaret, was knowledgeable and very friendly, making the visit even more pleasant. We finished our visit at the mini-golf garden, but we'll definitely be back, as there's so much more to do and see. Great family day out, recommended!

We didn't know our plans so bought tickets from the door. We went on a Monday during the school holidays and they now have their splash pools. I am not coming back during the school holiday but also will be dubious to go back until the sort some sort of management of the pools. The pools are in top of fake grass, on top of earth. It gets muddy and there were kids jumping in the puddles, getting dirt then getting in the pool. The pools are completely unmanned, trying to save costs by not having. Lifeguards is going to cost them some loyal costumers... There were three grown up girls completely disobeying the rules, I know this isn't quex fault but it there was someone there making sure that kids aren't running in or jumping and pushing other kids...I think things will be better. We must have chosen the wrong day because, by 1 there was hardly any cold drinks left nor ice; the toilets were absolutely filthy and when I asked to see their cleaning log...they didn't have any?(But these were checked regularly...) I asked if they could clean the disabled ones as my father needed to use the toilets and he wasn't able to due to the state of them... completely ignored...so we left! I have emailed them to complain and I have not had a reply, it shows how much they care

I love the garden out back it has a great play area made of decked wood and there’s a huge bird aviary there’s swings slide and a boat that’s designed for climbing There’s loads of picnic benches too and lots of room to chill and have a cuppa. There is so much to do and see its the perfect day out if you have kids. We especially love the museum and park, the deli and the restaurant in the barn where the food is gorgeous. There is a wonderful 'secret' garden centre, kids play areas, crazy golf and more. The only downside I have ever encountered was ignorance around serious allergies (at the golf cafe) where they would not let my grandson eat safe food I had packed for him even though we were buying our own! I would not go there again but otherwise love the place.

Staff super friendly and made are experience a lot more friendly. Course can be challenging which is good! It's 18 holes so you get a proper go on it! Price is great. The is also an ice cream parlour next door with lots of different flavours, which was great when we played in the hot weather. Couldn't recommend this place enough!

If you are looking for quality, variety, exceptional customer service - this IS the place to come! Not only has the place got a fish monger, butcher, deli & cheese counter, it has a pizza parlour and a lovely café as well as a wide range of homemade frozen food and a little pet corner outside. The staff here are exceptional and very helpful. The food on sale, especially on the fresh side of things is expensive, for example a scotch egg is £2.75, however, it isn't a supermarket scotch egg! It is an interesting place with some eclectic history told by guide. The museum was most interesting for the Powell-Cotton family collection on travels around the world. She's very knowledgeable and informative about the museum and the house, as she was also our House Tour Guide. The on site cafe, Felicity's is also excellent. Indoor and outdoor seating with wonderful, delicious homemade food. There is also Quex gardens but we did not have time to visit them. The entry to the whole site is a little confusing, as to where to park for each area. Brown road signage points to Quex Gardens but this also leads to the Cotton-Powell Museum and Felicity's Cafe.

What can I say?! The experience itself was fantastic! We were greeted at the entrance of the quex adventure farm and walked down to the field where my husband had his driving experience. On the way to the field we were fascinated by the facts which we were told about regarding Quex park, such as the amount of wheat which is produced by Quex as well as the history of the bell tower which is situated on the grounds of the field at Quex. My husband has only ever played farming simulator, but thought this would be a great treat for him to drive a real one!! He was able to drive the tractor around the field as well as hitch up to a trailer and have a go at reversing too! The tractor driving experience wasn’t rushed and it was highly educational as we were told all about the different parts of the tractor too! My husband absolutely loved it and hasn’t stopped talking about it! The smile on his face said it all!! He would 100% have another go in a heart beat if he could! We were there for over 8 hours so we saw the dedication of the staff throughout the day and how hard they worked. Since it’s refurbishment it is nothing but 10/10. Everything has been thought about and all aspects of safety, entertainment and stimulation has been carefully planned and put into place. The ball pit and soft play area for babies includes a secluded nursing chair. Mirrors, sensory light, slides and a ball pit for the toddlers area have been attentively included. All new netting, safety flooring and a brand new upstairs football kick about area are great new additions. I’m starting to sound like an estate agent but seriously everywhere is finished and thought out to the greatest detail that I could go on and on. I was so impressed and the kids loved it. While they were wearing themselves out, I grabbed myself something to eat and drink and when they returned ‘starving’ some great food at very reasonable prices gave them enough energy to go again. I've had a long absense from golf and was looking for the right place to visit and gently get back into the game. Having read the reviews and looking at the features via their website I decided on Stoneless and I'm so glad I did. The practice facilities are excellent, especially the putting green. Green fees are incredibly fair! With 3 levels of courses to choose from, there is something for everyone. I tried the 5 hole par 3 course first and that's a very easy course for practicing short game and it was nice to play a few times before moving onto the next levels. The Executive is an excellent mostly par 3 course which is quite a challange, with some water and slopes on many holes and smaller greens. I tried the Heights course for the first time today and was very very impressed. The greens were fantastic. Some holes are very challenging due to some long and narrow fairways, but that's what makes the course so good. My first 4 holes went very well and then a little downhill after, but not having played for close to 15 years, I guess it'll take a little more time to get my game back. I also have to mention another reason why I really like Stonelees... it's very laid back and not a bit of snobbery to be seen. The snobby nature of many golf clubs is what turns me away. But Stonelees is very welcoming, which is why I travel over 40 miles each time I visit. It's now my regular club. Only thing left to try is the food, which I hear is fantastic. So thank you very much to Stonelees for helping me get back into golf and, most importantly, enjoying golf again.
