We are both Vegan and found that the food in the caffe caters very well for vegans. The tour was fantastic with regular stops at different stations. The guides in the tour were brilliant and interacted with everyone giving us all little bits of information. We had two dogs with us and one is not able to walk far. They accommodated for this very well. Both dogs joined us in the carriage and the pushchair was held in the cargo area at the rear of the train. We didn’t know what to expect when we arrived but have both thoroughly enjoyed the outing and will be recommending it to our friends and family.

There is a bar as you enter through double doors on your right and adjacent is a stage with a small intimate space for seating/dancing and can get very busy at times, so space can be an issue. Behind this room is large vintage style cinema in all its glory although it does look a bit tired and could do with some maintenance but over all a wonderful place. Staff are friendly and courteous and have a good selection of cocktails/beers/soft drinks in offer. I feel this place is the heart of the community in the small town of Tywyn, at least that's how it felt when we have visited. Definitely worth a visit, check out their website to see what's on and when is a must before hand. The only negative I would say is parking. The building is right on the street with no off street parking out front but there are spaces on a side streets within a few minutes walk or so.

The museum as you can tell is dedicated to the Narrow Gauge Railway and the history of it and it is also free admission to get in. There are some informative and interesting display panels about some areas of the country served by Narrow Gauge Railway and there are some interesting artefacts such as Steam engines and also railway memorabilia which is great to see and also great nostalgia. The museum is small but is a great way to walk around in between the trains departing from Tywyn Wharf and learn some interesting history. Overall a magnificent and Great place to visit making for an interesting and brilliant day out. Well worth a visit whilst in Tywyn.

The location is perfect for local walks with a dog and accommodation so comfortable cosy and clean. I really wanted to stay longer. The dog field is handy too. Met Dean on my departure day and due to an issue with my car he couldn’t have been more accommodating and understanding. Hannah too throughout on what’s ap was brilliant. My stay was so comfortable, so much so I’ve gone and bought the same mattress I slept on there lol! (Hannah provided me the details). The views are nothing short of breathtaking, the perfect backdrop for a peaceful getaway in Wales. The views were amazing & the accommodation very comfortable. The weather was mixed but we did manage to sit on the terrace during a spell of sunshine & take in the wonderful views. The dog field was a bonus which our lab enjoyed, sniffing in the long grass & watching the sheep & alpacas in neighbouring fields. We walked to the local pub over a couple of fields, climbed Dolgoch falls & visited Tywyn & Aberdyfi beaches. The log burner made the cottage very cosy in the evening. We hope to return.

The cottage was fantastic and spotless and had everything we needed for that ideal break away from it all. The location is fantastic, with so many quiet places where you can walk for miles and not see anyone, which is just what we wanted. The town is only 5 minutes drive away to pick up those essentials for the evening to eat and drink and relax. We will definitely be back 10/10.

All the little touches made it feel so homely — things like the milk left in the fridge and even how the toilet paper was folded (so cute!). You can tell the hosts really care about making guests feel welcome. The place was super clean, cosy and just had a lovely vibe. We can’t wait to come back — we left feeling totally recharged! Honestly, book this place, you won’t be disappointed. We went to see the waterfall (less than 10 mins away), did the alpaca meet and greet which was amazing — the kids (11 and 9) loved it! We also did the King Arthur tour about half an hour away and that was such a good day out. Honestly felt right at home here. The accommodation was spacious, comfortable and well equipped, the little swimming pool was a treat especially for the children (even in less than perfect weather!) and the views all round were stunning - well worth the steep, narrow and twisty track that has to be negotiated to get to the properties. Hannah and Dean were very friendly and welcoming hosts, and always quick to respond to queries. Thank you!

The views are absolutely breathtaking — we were actually fighting over who got to wash the pots just to enjoy them! The cottage itself is cosy, spotless, and beautifully done, with a lovely log fire that made evenings so relaxing. Everything you could need is provided, and it’s incredibly dog-friendly too.
