From the trails and wooden bridges near the Little Farm, the Little Farm itself, the Visitor Center that gives you a rundown of all wildlife and history of the nearby area, while also having activities for little ones on specific days! My fiancée abd I ended up coming here to when we had to process the passing of a loved one, which was one of the most difficult times on our lives, and i beleive being in nature truly helped us grieve and let out all that we had been holding in. Its a very peaceful place. Whenever I have a stressful week, I find myself coming here to unwind and relax. You can book a site for parties here as well which is really fun to do too if you're planning a birthday or baby shower or something and want to BBQ. This will always be one of my favorite spots in the East Bay.

I've came here since elementary school so it's never a dull moment. The Dinosaur exhibit was really cool and I love how it's in one area. The additional restroom outside was really clean and convenient. We came here in Monday, November 10th, 2025. The café at the cafeteria was close so make sure to pack some lunch or snacks. There was 2 microwaves there and some Lysol wipes for the tables. The animal rooms are separated in 2 rooms. I always come here to see the hamsters, chinchillas and bunnies. The last time I was here, they had a gaming room which is replaced now for the music room. I would come back again and make more paper airplanes. 😂✈️

Since I-80 is a very heavily traveled highway, you can witness joggers, cyclists, and walkers exercising from a distance if you look close enough. And if you arrive during the time I did, you can witness some of the most awesome sunsets in all of the Bay Area. With the good things about this park, you also need to consider the not-so good things as well. We got there around 8AM and still had trouble parking. Narrow winding road, parallel parking on steep inclines, cars park 2 inches from your bumper, fun stuff! The trails we took were nice, again the start was extraordinarily steep, right off the jump you go from resting HR to max effort. The trail network is bracketed by Claremont Ave and Grizzly Peak Blvd. There are nice spots for panoramic vistas of the Bay, and some flatter trails as well. The views are the best reason to visit this park, it's just a bit of a headache to park and the steepness of the trails is annoying. Good wildflower displays in spring.
