This is a very interesting and informative museum about the life of John Kennedy and his family. We spent several hours walking through the museum and learning about the President and family members. From his childhood up to when he was assinated. There is also a section about the life of John Kennedy,Jr and the tragic plane accident which ended his an his wife lives. We went here on a rainy day. Best spot to park was the lot behind it. Trying to find parking otherwise would have been a chore. If you are a fan of JFK or American history, definitely stop in at least once. There are some videos as you go through, but it's basically a self-guided tour. It was a well-done presentation of his life and career, heavily flavored with his love of the Cape.

Well worth a visit. The ladies working behind the reception were very friendly and polite and have some good advice. The museum is detailed and covers all parts of JFK's life, along with his wife and his siblings. True to its name, Cape Cod Maritime Museum was by far the most comprehensive history of Cape Cod that I could find and is a great stop for invested historians, although people with a more casual interest in history will be overwhelmed by the amount of reading.
This museum is open all year, Tuesday through Saturday, 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Tickets are $10 for adults; $8 for seniors, students, and veterans; $5 for children ages 3 to 5 plus groups of ten or more who book ahead of time; and $0 for children under 3, active duty military, first responders, and NEMA members (like me!).
The museum website mentions the space being ADA compliant, possibly because it has an entrance ramp and an elevator. However, lighting was inconsistent, galleries had little to no seating, and several loud videos played on repeat with no option for the visitor to pause them or turn down the volume. Pictures, maps, and digrams are great, but the information provided with each display is very informative and the care is apparent.
Patricia was fantastic to talk to and gave us insight into the museum and history as well as the programs they run that allow the kids to learn about building boats.

Such a wonderful little museum! We visited on free admission day, it was so nice we left a donation. There is a very nice collection of scrimshaw on display. Many old boats, life size and models. There is a great interactive workshop downstairs and a nice courtyard outside that overlooks the harbor. Lots to see and do for a "small" museum!

Love going to the Melody Tent. It is a lovely intimate place to see a show. Have been there several times and not a bad seat in the house. You do have to be patient when leaving the parking lot. Definitely recommend seeing a show here. The surrounding town, shops and restaurants are very inviting.

The music was great and sounded great. Show started at 830p and beer / alcohol turned off at 9pm. Also, the worst part of the night was that it must have been well over 100 degrees inside that sold out tent. Think being locked in a hot car. It was literally that bad. By the end of the show half the crowd was outside of the tent in the cooler air. This seems like it would be a great venue for a concert on a not so hot and humid night. The theatre in the round which constantly rotates is cool and gives everyone a front on stage view throughout the night.

All the staff were wonderful! the popcorn was super buttery and salty, it was perfect! the seats were very comfortable. It was a great way to learn about the area and see key sights. On Friday we went to buzzard Bay recreation area and watched the train go by and use the vertical railroad lift! there's also a splash pad and playground there and trail to bike or walk along the canal! made our trip perfect!

This was a guided train tour. Scenic views that goes about 50 miles round trip through Cape Cod. There was a very informative lady offering the history of different things we would pass by. She was entertaining and mentioned random things like that Massachusetts drivers don't often use turn signals or that if you are going to Dunkin Doughnuts that if you order a "regular" it will have cream and sugar.
This was a relaxing ride and a chance to enjoy the Cape Cod scenery. Driving through Cape Cod if nice, but many of the roads are winding and tough to enjoy the scenery since you have to keep your eyes on the road.

We had a beautiful fall day riding the train! We had a Jazz brunch train departing Iyonna! Awesome food. You might think it’s expensive but it was worth it. The employees were friendly. They worked very hard. Our waitress was Jennifer.

Today we celebrated my brother’s birthday with a large party (7). Booking was done via phone because we had a special request (wanted to bring our own bday cake). The booking agents were also very accommodating when I called a second time to switch the date! The parking staff and the storefront folks were very helpful and courteous too!
The food was great! My only comments are that I should have asked for syrup on the side of my french toast (it was so sweet). Everyone loved their salmon and chicken & waffles.
Our waitstaff, Jen, Bryson and Amy were terrific! They worked seamlessly like a well oiled machine!

You have the protected Oceanside where you can watch all the ferries and fishing boats coming and going or you can choose the harbour side where the water is a bit warmer and less seaweed. They have seasonal washrooms and snack bar. After Labour Day it's closed but there are portable toilets as well.

We try to make this spot a part of our yearly visit to the National Seashore and when we stopped by on a regular Monday night it was exceptionally excellent. For a Monday, we thought they might've been closed because sometimes it can seem that most places are, but they were actually busier than one might expect. The food here was absolutely amazing and worth every penny! I didn’t get the chance to try the salad bar myself, but I heard the Lobster Bisque was excellent. The all-you-can-eat dinner is such a fun experience—multiple servers walk around with skewers of different meats and carve them right at your table. You can choose your preferred doneness on the spot—rare, medium rare, or well done.
My party tried prime rib, brisket, New York skirt steak, sausages, chicken, pork, and even chicken hearts (yes, really!). Every bite was flavorful and perfectly cooked. A friend even moaned out loud after tasting the garlic bread—it was that good!
Their drink selection is also impressive. I had a strawberry lemonade made with fresh-squeezed lemons and strawberries, and it was so refreshing.

You get your moneys worth as the gauchos continue coming around until you are done! We ordered local fresh oysters with caviar and plain plus a colossal shrimp cocktail, the house salad, followed by sea bass special and salmon with a Tzatziki sauce and cooked perfectly.

We only had about 3 hours to spend on the way from Boston to Maine and debated coming out to the cape with such little time to spend and I could not have been happier with the choice we made to go! We traveled down to Chatham and back out within our time limit and made quite a few stops along the way! The Hyannis beach was STUNNING! The white sand beach and getting to see all the horseshoe crabs that have washed ashore for the first time was so neat! I could have spent a week heading to Providence and back! Keep running into dead ends. The director listed on the website died several years ago. No one answers the telephone and has been closed when I have gone there. The Town offices could not give help and had no info about who to call or how to contact them.

Be careful going here. The town has a little scam going on where they will ticket you $50+ at 31 minutes of parking. The closest side of the parking lot has a 30 minute parking sign (bear in mind, this memorial also has a beach), while the far side of the parking lot has no clear signage. I don’t like giving this four stars, as I was very moved when I got there/walked around. The only reason I am is because there’s just really nothing to do. There’s a cute lil’ old man selling hats 🧢 for $20 bucks inside a tiny booth; but other than that and the scenic water view, there just isn’t much. I’d say 20 minutes here would be stretching it before you get the itch to go on and leave. It’s so sad, because I know Dallas has some amazing places to honor JFK. I was hoping Hyannis would compare. Oh well— as you can see, we had one of the most beautiful days EVER to go, and the skies were like something out of a painting. The picture I took of those homes are right on Ocean St. pulling out of the memorial— I thought they were pretty picturesque!! Just give it a stop, selfie, and go if you get a chance! ♥️

I thought this was a very clean, easy to find and easy to navigate little memorial area. There is plenty of grass the picnic around as well as tables. The walk to the beach is just a couple of dozens of feet away from the park. I feel like this is very kid friendly and a great place to take your children to view the memorial and have a good time at the bay as well. Lots of park benches nearby. I was disappointed that the fountain was not running. Likely because it’s the off-season when I went to visit. I went on November 1 and it was a gorgeous day.

None of us were car people but it was really cool to see and even sit in some of the cars for the price of $10. It was a weekday and we had the place to ourselves. An absolute joy to visit, the owner and curator of the collection is clearly passionate and is willing to talk with you and answer any questions you have, he has plenty of stories about all the cars. It's smaller than it was when I last visited, however it's a really special collection of cars that are hard to find on this side of the pond.

We had the perfect sunset cruise with a fantastic band to entertain us too! We went during off season, so the boat was not crowded The crew were informative on the local homes in the area as well as some of the classic sail boats. This indoor pirate museum is a fascinating look into the history of pirates with the focus being on Whydah pirate ship that sunk in 1717 just off the Cape Cod shore. The remains were found in 1984 and the excavating is still ongoing!

We decided to visit the museum on a rainy day, along with a multitude of other tourists. While the museum itself seems interesting and has a lot of potential, we were completely unable to enjoy it due to the overwhelming crowd. It was absurdly packed — there was barely room to move. Had we not already purchased tickets online, we would have turned around and left. It’s a shame we couldn’t appreciate what the museum had to offer.
On top of that, it was unbearably stuffy inside. Staying there longer than ten minutes was almost impossible. This experience was absolutely not worth nearly $80 for a family of four (2 adults and 2 kids). It felt more like a tourist trap than an actual museum. In fact, I’d call it more of an overhyped exhibit than a true museum — everything felt forced and stretched thin.
This was the worst “museum” I’ve visited on Cape Cod. There’s clearly a lot that could be improved — better crowd control, air ventilation, bigger facility, and overall organization — but judging by other reviews, nothing ever changes. Read the reviews, friends, before you go.

Very neat museum which tells the history of pirates and specifically focuses on the Wydah which sank in a storm. This museum requires ALOT of reading, which was great for my husband and I. But not so great for little kids. I could see young kids getting bored quickly.

Great experience. The content and exhibits are interesting and the format is small enough that children stay engaged. One can visit for 45 minutes to an hour and come away satisfied, or even stay for 90-120 minutes for a deeper dive (no pun intended). Even though this museum is curated around a specific shipwreck off the Cape Cod coast, the information correlates to broader maritime and trade histories. Our group was mixed and all had a good time, coming away with some newfound knowledge and respect.
For improvements I’d recommend the museum evaluates the lighting in some areas to try to illuminate more of the details of the exhibits. The ambiance definitely reflects the dark, dank vibes that pirates experienced below decks, but there are definitely ways to improve the visuals without degrading the overall feel. Around the cannons, for example, is an area that I would’ve liked to better identify some of the details the exhibit was describing.
Overall, this museum is an excellent experience. It’s something fun and interesting to do on a cloudy day, or right before grabbing dinner in the neighborhood, or any time you want to engage with something that can fill a smaller window of time on your visit to the Cape.

You're not supposed to take any pictures or videos but I found the bell very interesting. The tour is $18 per person and the start you off with a five minute video about how the divers found the stuff from the ship. It's a great place for all ages. It is very informative and interesting. Since they pretty much have a monopoly of passenger ferry services between Cape Cod & Nantucket, there really isn't much to "not like" here.
Easy to book online, easy to board. They saw us with strollers and kids and always invited us for priority boarding. Has restrooms (some even with changjng tables), snack bars, 3 floors with plenty of windows and some open deck areas. Even puke bags scattered around for anyone who needs them, although the boat is fast and large enough that even my sensitive MIL didn't feel any motion sicknesses.
We spent the extra money to upgrade to "captain's view" for bigger spaces and comfortable seats but was probably not necessary as the boat seemed huge with lots of room to occupy. Main issue was that it was COLD. I guess its the luxury of high blast A/C when its hot outside...

I thought this place was cute considering they didn't have a ton of things on display but enough that our guide walked around with us for about 20 minutes. We were so excited to learn that this air and space Museum opened this year. We’ve learned that it has been open since March 2023 . The staff was personable and friendly. They had a wonderful display with both female and male aviators. They had a wonderful example of a desk that had been fashioned out of a cockpit which was amazing. There are also two flight simulators, which provides a wonderful and quite realistic experience, as one flies over the Cape and lands on the Cape Cod runway, The price is right and very reasonable and it was a wonderful way to spend a couple of hours. Cape Cod Beer is a great place to visit. Lots of really great drinks, rotating drafts, drink specials. The staff are always pleasant and knowledgeable. Food is often available but it is a rotating vendor and I'm not sure if they have food every day, or just the weekends.

This brewery had a lot of beers. They had a few IPAs and everything else you could think of. The best part of was the tasting, you get 5 different 5oz samples and you get to keep the glass after! Leanne was a joy to work with and truly went above and beyond in helping us get everything set up for the event. Used to love going to Cape Cod Beer for events because they offered some amazing options for non-beer drinkers, and my husband enjoyed some of the unique beer flavors they offered. I especially loved their home made root beer with or without vanilla vodka and their lemonade/vodka drink, and he loved the coffee flavored beer. Unfortunately the new owners changed all the non-beer drinks into seltzers that just taste like bad beer, and the beer menu is now generic. We went twice and tried various seltzers, but they are literally undrinkable. Also disappointed to see that they got rid of musical BINGO and trivia nights, but do enjoy the Salty Boots line dancing nights when they have them.

I had a horrible experience today, I paid them in advanced to rent their place for my daughters birthday party for the whole day. I arrived an hour before the party in order to set up everything, when nobody was there, and the doors were closed. I called them 7 times and nobody answered me. I had to drive from Centerville to Hyannis to go in person, since they didn’t want answer my phone calls. I saw two men sitting on their phones. I explained them the situation, they checked their calendars and my reservation wasn’t there, I had to show them my receipt. One of them was even questioning me. Why do I wanna access so early? like what ? I paid for the whole day I have the right to use it before the party. How am I supposed to set up everything before the party ? Then, they had to call several people and nobody was answering. When finally, one person answered and he gave them authorization to give me the key. It was frustrating, I didn’t have time to set up everything for my daughter’s birthday party. I am so disappointed. I don’t recommend anybody to rent their place . Besides, the tables were old and stained. They didn’t have any brooms or anything to clean after. (If I rented the place from them, they were supposed to be waiting for me or something, or even leaving the doors open) (I paid them a month before the party, and they didn’t even have me on their calendar, it’s ridiculous!!!)

The beach stickers are a great deal. $50 for 7 days with several beaches to choose from in Barnstable/Hyannis. Of course it's a good idea to get to the beach early if you want a prime parking spot.
