Simply amazing!! Best Land and Sea roll I've ever had the please of eating and a cumbersalad that hit the palate perfectly. Paired with a crew of excellent ladies providing top-notch service and a beautiful view from the outside patio area my lunch was not only fully satisfactory but beyond so, in every single way. Based on the great reviews, we tried The Slippery Mermaid and can confirm that the reviews here are legit. We were very pleased with the service and the food and we enjoyed the vibe & decor and the restaurant was very clean. We loved the Mermaid Tails appetizer and then ordered the Psycho Mermaid, Tropical Mermaid, Shrimp Tempura and California Rolls which were all very good. We look forward to eating here again.

I am absolutely floored. My experience was out of this world. I feel like I wasted my life by not trying this place the last five years I've lived in Florida. The triton tuna roll gave me an out of body experience. The environment is super relaxed and our waiter has worked there the last seven years. I was at peace while I dined. Fish is not that good. They charge regular prices for sushi but the amount of fish you get is minimum. (Sliver) I’m surprised there are such high reviews. If the reviews are high then these people must not have ventured from this area like ever….
Sashimi..awful. Thin and salmon didn’t have any flavor… tuna was meh..
The rolls are slammed with sauce literally my roll is swimming in sauce. Way to much, the point of sauce is to add flavor to the fish not drown out any fish that you have in the roll (the small amount that is in there)
I’m not listening to anyone else who has lived here their entire life’s when it comes to food recommendations.
I’m going to have to drive an hour to Destin to get any decent sushi and that’s just going to have to be my reality I guess.

You will not go wrong ordering the fried shrimp and fries. This was my second time here and the food has been amazing both times. The seating by the water is great and the staff is also very accommodating. All of the menu options look amazing and the prices are very fair for the quality and quantity of food you get. Get their Steam Combo! Well worth the price. 1 lb of snow grab, 2/3 lb shrimp, potatoes and corn - seasoned very well. We got our boys the popcorn shrimp and fried pickles for appetizers. All while sitting outside on the beach. Great choice! Plan to make another visit if we’re ever in Navarre again. Even bought me a hat for the memories!
Also, lots of seating available. If the line is out the front, it will go by pretty quickly. They are just taking orders, not waiting for a table.
The seafood here is very fresh, and I enjoyed most of the dishes. The only one I didn’t really like was the fried oysters, since each piece only had a tiny bit of oyster inside. On the bright side, the restaurant provides coloring paper and crayons for kids, which makes it a great place for families with young children.

The Prate Punch is delicious with a good amount of alcohol. Great selection of drinks.
The crab dip was good, not great but good, with a twist on chips of a more flaky fried chip.
The Mates plate was grilled as we requested and served hot and fresh. The fish on it was very thin and overcooked though. The scallops and shrimp were good. We had to request it but the drown butter added some flavor. The potatoes and corn are just boiled, no seasoning at all.
The kitchen is organized and serves food fast. They get busy at night so dine early or be ready to wait.
The bartender was hustling to keep up with to go orders, us seated at the bar and the walk up window customers.
This is an open air restaurant with some picnic tables in the sand out back so don’t expect ac or come after getting cleaned up, you’ll just get dirty and sweaty again.
You order at a counter and find a seat. They bring your food and you make your own drinks.
My children sat at a table and my son said his Mahi was overcooked and tough and dry.
I’d probably just come back for drinks.

It was surprising that you order in a line take your own cups and fill them, deliver your own appetizer and clear your own table and are still asked to leave a tip. You only see a person once and that is to deliver the rest of your order and that is it. The food for the most part was good however do not order the crabcake sandwich it was pitiful looking and tasted fishy. Ordered the blackened tripletail special, was very tasty. Green beans were a bit heavy on the pepper, and the baby red mashed potatoes were perfect. They had Tripletail today. I had it grilled. Amazing. The Navarre location is a bit different than the Destin locations in that you order at the front, then go choose your table and they bring it to you. We got to sit on the beach, which was awesome. The service was mixed. One server was great, but another asked if we wanted anything else and after I told him what I wanted, I never saw him again. I'll go back for the food though. Any time we come down this way, we have to get a grouper or tripletail sandwich

This place is great! We come every time we visit Navarre. My daughters are 6 and 9. They had so much fun on the inflatable park. The entire team is super nice and helpful. They are nice and personable. Riley especially was helpful on the obstacle course. Even though we were scared, she helped us along every scary step encouraging along the way. We loved it and will do again. We also rented a pontoon and saw so many dolphins. Such a neat experience. Can I give more than 5 stars??!

We rented a pontoon for our group of 6 and our puppy for the full day. We headed to the islands in Santa Rosa Sound and had an amazing, relaxing day. One of our best vacation memories. Boats are in good working order. Crew was helpful getting us loaded and running through the basic operations. They were also there at shore when we got back to help get parked and unloaded. We visited Navarre Family Watersports with our kids, ages 17 and 8. Unfortunately, my 17-year-old got motion sickness just five minutes in and couldn’t continue. My younger son tried to enjoy it, but with so many older kids around, it was a bit overwhelming for him.
The local special—2 hours for the price of 1 with ID—was a great deal, but sadly we had to leave after only about 40 minutes. The staff seemed friendly, and the location is beautiful, but overall it just wasn’t the best experience for our family this time.

We are locals and went as soon as the obstacle course opened on a June weekday with 2 - 18 year olds, an 11 year old, and 2 - 40+ year olds. The extra hour with ID that locals get is great! Two hours (one paid, once free) was definitely enough time for all of us to leave exhausted and sore.
Is it strenuous? Definitely!
Are you going to get minor scrapes/"rug burns" from climbing into the obstacle course? More than likely.
You're going to slip and fall - both on the course and into the water. The vinyl is wet, covered in the sunscreen of everyone falling on it, and eventually gets hot from the sun. If you ever played on a trampoline as a kid, you get the idea.
There's little snack shack. You can also take your own snacks, chairs, umbrella, etc for breaks.

My 7 year old and husband did the obstacle course and my son cut his finger on a barnacle due to accumulation and my husband said the equipment wasn’t maintained very well and strapped together in areas. I had the bang bang shrimp which was delicious. My wife got the fish sandwich and thought it was wonderful. My aunt and uncle got the Scooters plater and the fried oysters and both thought they were great. Sides like the fries and hush puppies were great. Our entire four person meal including two soft drinks with a military discount came out to $89 without tip. Not too bad. Minus two stars on service for it being walk up ordering and pickup with zero table services offered.

We visited mid-July around 4pm for dinner with a party of 6. You order at the door, which can get crowded and they do ask that you leave the door closed. So some may be waiting outside. It is a fish house, so seafood is the name of the game. Most of us got shrimp. They do have chicken tenders and a chicken sandwich. One person ordered the special, fresh caught Pompano.
Overall, after the ordering (which there was a little bit of a line), our food came out quickly and hot. It was well seasoned, and good size portions. Prices range from about $10 (sandwiches) to $25 (special). Would definitely visit again, if we vacation near Navarre.

Scooter’s Fish House is a clean restaurant with simple, plain decor. You order at the counter, find a seat, and wait for your number to be called. It’s mostly bench seating unless you snag one of the larger tables, which have chairs.
We ordered the fish, shrimp, and oyster dinner, which comes with two sides. We chose the cheese grits and fries. The seafood was good — fresh and nicely cooked. The fries were really good, but the cheese grits were pretty bland and could’ve used more flavor. Our food came out in a reasonable amount of time, so no long wait there.
My only real complaint is the condiment setup. The tartar sauce, cocktail sauce, pepper sauce, and malt vinegar aren’t on the tables — you have to get them yourself in little paper cups, which isn’t ideal when everyone’s trying to share. Drinks are self-serve, and ketchup is the only thing already on the table.
Overall, good food and friendly service, just not the best setup for condiments and seating.

Minor update: St Michael's continues to incrementally improve in small ways including expanded outdoor seating, varied food trucks, and a few additional offerings. Solidly recommended.
We stopped by for a visit on a Sunday afternoon. We sat in the back beer garden with our dog and were immediately engaged by the friendly patrons. Everything is new and clean and beautiful! There's a great view of the guts of the brewery from the beer garden. Staff was friendly and all the beers we tried were very good.
Note that the only food is light snacks, and a food truck which may not be available if there aren't too many customers or if it's too late.

The first time, we bought fresh shrimp, sushi-grade tuna, and the key lime pie. The second time, we restocked. They were out of crab claws, but they offered to take our contact info and call us the next day when they arrived. So, we came back the next day to pick those up along with the smoked tuna dip.
Everything about the Navarre Seafood Market is great. It’s conveniently located and incredibly clean (no odors, etc). The best part about it, though, is the friendly service and the variety of options, both fresh and frozen. These folks are knowledge about seafood, and they greeted us with a smile and suggestions every time we walked in.

We discovered this little gem while on vacation, and it quickly became our favorite spot. Every person who waited on us was incredibly kind and welcoming—true Southern hospitality with every visit!
The coffee? Absolutely amazing. My favorite drink is the “Blended Redneck”—brown sugar cinnamon, French vanilla, and caramel blended to perfection. Sooo good! 😍
Prices are reasonable, and the customer service is top notch. We even made sure to stop in one last time on our way out of town! This will definitely be a yearly tradition from here on out.

My new go to spot to drink beer and wine when visiting. I visited 2 days in a row due to the exceptional service I received from the bartender Stephanie. She knew about all the craft beers they served and gave me awesome recommendations.
I'm not from the area but it seems this place is brand new. Just by the smell of fresh paint and furniture. Ha. There's games to keep you busy and TVs. Games such as Jenga and Cornhole. Played Memorial Day. The course is really coming into great shape. Fairways were clean and green. The front nine greens rolled well but did have some patchy grass, back nine were more clean looking but I hear they are working on them soon. Regardless greens rolled well and had a nice check to them. The course was well maintained and challenging for our level of play. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Trey was great and seemed genuinely concerned that we had a good time. Unfortunately the pace of play was a significant deterrent to an enjoyable round of golf. We had 2 groups of 4 ahead of us playing extremely slow and a group of 3 following us who were very impatient. I absolutely love this course and most of the time have an enjoyable experience. I’ve learned that the pace of play is going to be slow which is fine if the weather is nice. My biggest issue is that I was not told that the greens were punched and sanded before my recent round. Although it was not what we were expecting, Mike was a great guide & was knowledgeable, leaving us with a good experience! Note: You can bring cash if you would like to tip! BRING A COOLER, because the description we read said it was provided, but it’s for fish. We only happened to have a cooler with no ice in the car! The “enclosed bathroom” appeared to be a hole in the boat with a lid, but we were all too afraid to ask, so we just kept our hydrating to a min. I have now been informed that it was actually a camper port a potty, but have no idea if it is private, which was our main concern. We had a very cool experience overall! They really just need to update their description or elaborate more on whatever bathroom & cooler/ice they may have, online & when people board the boat, because we had never been and didn’t know what to expect. The What to Bring part is a little misleading;“What to bring: Hat, sunscreen, sunglasses, appropriate clothing, food/drink (cooler and ice are provided).” They might add “for fish,” or just remove the parenthesized part all
together, just to help them avoid upset customers. Maybe they could add an extra cooler with ice to the boat &/or
show everyone the bathroom upon boarding. :) During the 5 hours, we spent a lot of time riding the boat, saw some
dolphins up close (apparently not ideal
for fishing, as one of them stole my fish, but we were excited, nonetheless)! Mike moved us shortly after they showed up, because he knew they’re little sea varmints, but he did let us enjoy the dolphins for a bit! Would possibly do it again, but would try a different amount of time/time of day & come more prepared. Wear thin long sleeves and full length pants if you can. A hat & sunglasses & plenty of sunscreen are a must!! A few of us were cranky after 5 hours, not being avid fishers! Lol

We did see dolphins and enjoyed that part of that experience.The two stars come from the fact that the swimming experience was not worth our money. Our group of 4 had the great pleasure of chartering a pontoon for the day yesterday with Captain Joel. He was responsive, informative, and went out of his way to make sure our day was everything we could have hoped for. The pontoon was clean, fast, and in great shape. After working a 12 hour shift, my soul sister and I took off for my first real experience with the ocean, and we chose Navarre Beach, Florida. Saltwater Cottage was our first stop. It is the oldest cottage and is so cute! The women were so nice and had such good souls. There are so many talented local artists on display. I got candle waxes, and each one has a story with it like alta, named after her mom❤️ I love sea turtles and got a gorgeous silver turtle bracelet. I can't even begin to tell you how special this place is! I read about it and had to go. I walked in with my daughters and we were greeted with THE SWEETEST Lady. I wish I had gotten her name. She was absolutely wonderful and caring! She had us read the story of the Cottage and it will bring tears to your eyes. It's truly a story of God's work. They have books, jewelry made by a pastor, wonderful candles a prayer bottle that you can put in a prayer then they meet up at the beach at sunrise and do a prayer over everyone's needs! We had the best time at Navarre Beach Camping Resort! The glow pool party and movie night from the pool were such fun highlights. We loved taking late night walks on the pier, and our boys (ages 1, 5, and 12) especially enjoyed the small playground area — perfect for kids of all ages.
If we had any complaints, it would be that the cabin mattresses weren’t very comfortable, and the cabins themselves could use a little updating. That said, they had everything we needed for a great stay.
The beach is only a 10 minute drive and parking was a breeze.
We enjoyed breakfast made fresh and quick the morning of our departure just steps from our cabin.
We will absolutely be back!

Two really nice TVs in each cabin... Also some people are kind of dirty and the friendly staff do well to clean up in the morning, but I wish they had someone going in and out of the bathrooms all night disinfecting and cleaning showers and toilets. All in all awesome though and I WOULD go again especially since everything is so accessible.

Staff was so nice and helpful, perfect spot, close to Destin and Pensacola. Love sleepy beach town. We stayed in a cabin, it was roomy. The cabin D150 that we stayed at was right by the water, and it was very clean, and had a screened in porch that we sat on alot looking at the beautiful view . We had so many things we enjoyed like fishing on the pier that was right in front of our cabin, kayaking across to the island ,walking our 2 dogs around the campground, letting them off leash at the fenced in dog area they had at the campground.The pool and hot tub was amazing it was so clean. The campground was so clean, and well maintained. The staff were always working and cleaning around the whole campground. The whole staff were friendly, and sweet, and took time to welcome us and make our stay wonderful! There was a club house and ice cream shop they had great ice cream. The laundry room was clean and washers and dryers worked great! The bridge to the public beach, fishing pier and restaurant's were so close to the campground. We would definitely stay here again!! Navarre is such a gem. It’s such a cute town with so many beach access points, so it was easy to find somewhere not crowded. The resort is located on an inlet, so we went to the beach for swimming but we rented a couple kayaks at the resort and had a great time on the calm waters of the channel.
The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, the room was clean, the pool and grounds were well kept. I would definitely recommend this place for anyone that’s looking for a more rustic experience but without all the hassle of camping.

We just got back from a stay at Navarre Beach Camping Resort, and it was absolutely perfect for our little family! The campground was clean, peaceful, and right by the water, with plenty to do for both kids and adults. The best part is that it was a short drive to the beach.

Dottie's sandbar has Everything.....from any kitchen item you may need to any beach item you can think of. The location is perfect....not too close to pier and condomimium and hotel buildings. We really enjoyed our stay booked through Blue Moon Vacation Rentals. We stayed at Summerwind Resort in Navarre and enjoyed the breathtaking view from the balcony in our room. Most everything was wonderful during our stay. There were only a few things that would have made it better. An extra blanket on each bed for those who sleep chilly would be nice. Also maybe a throw blanket for the living room. Enough dishwasher detergent for every other day over the length of your stay would have been nice. Also, we didn't know there was an extra trash bag in the bottom of the trashcan, so we were trying to make one bag work for our entire stay. Leaving the extra trash bag out for guests to see would have been helpful. All in all, things were comfortable and the location was spectacular. We hope to stay again!

Had a blast checking this zoo out! It was easy to get to, quick to get in, and had maps. They had options to buy food to feed the goats, giraffes, and birds. You could buy “animal encounters” for a variety of different animals. The layout was nice, the animals seemed well cared for, and a fun train ride. The train is free with admission and you can ride as many times as you want. Our group ride twice trying to see the orangutan, but he was hiding. There are certain animals you can only see by rising the train which I thought was fun and made the ride exciting looking for them. We loved learning all the fun facts about the animals on the ride. There were LOTS of baby animals when we went; a hippo, lots of different monkeys, a lemur, and goats. There are multiple bathrooms and an indoor cafe that had snacks, ice cream, and drinks(including a few beer options). Definitely would go again!

The zoo is a small zoo, they do have a train that does a "safari" tour which is our favorite part honestly. They have all kinds of turtles, tortoises, birds, monkeys, lemurs. The more interesting animals they have are anteaters, lions, kangaroos, Indian and white Rhinos, Pigmy & Nile Hippos, Gorillas, Giraffes and Black Bears. They also have maned wolves and 3 & 2 toed slothes. They overall are a good zoo, the only water fountain is in the gift shop but you can get water refills in the snack bar. They have little wagons available to rent and it's only about $10. They have a bundle for feeding zoo animals available, they have a nice playground for kids too. You need cash to be able to get drinks from vending machines placed throughout the zoo and they only take singles and half the machines don't work. We LOVE this place. We had a homeschool field trip for 15 people. I believe the guide's name was Grace. She did an outstanding job! We learned so much. The guy that works with Aries is VERY knowledgeable about raptors. We've been multiple times, but always learn so much each time. All of the ambassadors were awake and active. They are very friendly and interested in people. We got to pet Dwight (corn snake), Sheldon and Landlord (tortoises), and Gumbeaux (possum). The gift shop is so cute and features local artists instead of junk from China. When you purchase from their gift shop they receive part of the proceeds and you help a local starving artist! ;) I think because the center is off the main road, it is often overlooked when you think of Navarre. It is a must-visit destination when you are visiting the Gulf Coast. It's only 10 minutes from the Navarre Pier, so you should definitely make the short trip up 87 to visit the cute ambassadors and donate to the heros waking up every 15 minutes (I'm looking at you Hummingbirds) to keep our local birds and wildlife fed!

Awesome little refuge that definitely care a lot about the animals in their care and the ones on the property. We loved seeing the animals there. Peggy the opossum was super sweet and we got to pet her, she was so gentle and chill. Owliver was super cute and Aries was so pretty, she even went swimming while we were there. The fox Squirrel was so fun, it just ran around and jumped, showing off to us. The girl who was working was super kind and I appreciate her generosity to show us different items and tell us about some of the animals.

Such a hidden gem and so worth it! My whole family including my 6 year old loved learning about sweet pea and other sea turtles. I would recommend to anyone. Also you get a bucket of sand for $10 to sift for sharks teeth, we found 9 and other small shells from Navarre beach. Parking is tight but they have a turtle shuttles to get you there. And the best part all money spent goes to the conservation center.

All the staff were very friendly and knowledgeable and we got a private tour of the facility since we did the 8:30 am painting experience before they opened up. This place is great! Minimal cost for a good education on sea turtles and Preservation in the area. They also offer a monthly beach clean up the last Saturday of each month at 8am. It was crazy to see how much trash people leave behind on the beaches. They taught us about the lights at night as well and how they affect the sea turtles and their nesting abilities. Overall, a great place with an incredible staff, mostly of volunteers who care for these turtles! Not a big place so go early for less crowds.

Definitely pay the dollar to walk on the fishing pier. And, especially if you have young kids, do the sea turtle conservation center. But go regardless; it's a worthy cause. All the parking I've seen is free. There are bathrooms on the pier. There's a little gift shop on the pier where you buy your ticket to walk and get a coke, a T-shirt, jewelry, ice cream, stuff like that. There's a restaurant on the pier, Windjammers. We didn't eat there. We ate at Juana's Pagodas, right by the pier, which we've been to several times. It's more expensive than last time we went, but the view is nice.

One of my children decided on our visit to Alabama that he NEEDED to see a sea turtle. Upon our research we discovered the Navarre Beach Sea Turtle conservatory and made the trek to Florida. We had a great experience and he had a chance to see Sweet Pea the resident sea turtle at the station. We enjoyed learning about the other local sea life and about sea turtles who visited the beaches along the gulf shore. Thanks for the educational experience while on vacation.
