The big playground near the firehouse is awesome! Disc golf is epic! The skatepark is magnificent! The poor, dying, Peabody Creek pond is by turns glorious in the rainy season and gruesome in the dry months. Homeless people and trimigrants camping out at the disc golf course bring in loads of garbage, loud music, hostile dogs off leash, and human and dog waste all over the area, especially when the restrooms are locked at weird times. The Chicken Fettuccine was also prepared very well. The steak however fell somewhat short of expectations. I was told the cut was fattier than expected and slightly undercooked to order. It was suppose to be medium but came out redder than expected. The taste was excellent however. Our total came out to be about $240 with tax and tip which included a glass of wine to go with our dinner. No desserts however. So how did Tofenelli score? Atmosphere 5/5. Service 5/5. Food 4.5/5. Value to Price Ratio 5/5. Overall Experience 4.75/5. Our experience at Tofenelli was very good. Gabriella was a great host and provided us excellent service. Food was mostly (almost) perfect. I would caution to inquire about the steak and be more specific on how you want your steak prepared. Tofenelli is a charming place to have an enjoyable dinner. You expect parents to have some control over their kids. And the winery does nothing about it, since a lot of their customers are locals. This pretty much ruined our experience. Problem number two - every winery I’ve visited, and that’s a lot of wineries, drops the tasting charge if you buy a few bottles which we did. Not this place. Overall, the winery is beautiful, great staff, and the wines are very good. It’s a great place to spend a summer afternoon on the patio, with a glass of fine wine and some snacks (you can bring your own food). I recommend taking the drive out there and hopefully you will not have to deal with uncontrolled kids.
