Five minutes south of Depoe Bay. Thought I was going to be here two minutes and ended up staying four hours, then going back multiple times. Totally awesome rounded rocky cliff viewpoint with large mowed grassy area. Half oval shaped pullout with parking for 50 or so cars. Right off the 101. Restrooms, trash can, and a couple picnic tables by the parking, but three more on clifftop if you follow trail past the bathrooms on the right to the whale spotting deck in the trees (a very magical short walk). Very wide view of ocean in all directions from the point, plus a solitary bench with wave viewing so awesome that it's like its own amusement park ride. Huge, amazing, dramatic surf against cliff rocks at high tide and whales right offshore at times. Seals on rocks and in surf. Plenty of space for social distancing and your own spot for viewing. She was very attentive and helpful and a very nice person. When we went in, the feel was dark, kind of like an old dark bar. It really wasn't very clean in there. We looked for boat tours and found this one that had availability for the day/time we wanted so we booked a one hour tour online a day in advance. This ended up working out for us and we made it just in time. We boarded the boat and set off into the water. The captain was very informative throughout the tour. We saw sea lions and a few whales. I stared at that water for almost an hour straight and the one minute I looked away is when one of the whales did a little tail flip. Of course I missed it! It’s ok tho, I went into this not sure if we would see anything but even if we had just seen the sea lions that would have been fun for me. Just being on the boat in the sun surrounded by water and blue skies was great. The price for the one hour tour was reasonable. Parking was easy - there was a parking lot right at the dock. The captain, his helper and the person who called us were all pleasant and courteous. The other people on our tour were as excited as we were to be there and to get a glimpse of the whales. We were both full so we ordered it togo, but i wanted to try a bite while on the way to the next lookout and it turned out to be in my top 3 of the best mango sticky rice I've had in the US, and it was only $7!! My husband said he was stuffed and didn't want any but he ended up eating half of it while driving

The rooms are nice, a little more worth than what I paid for. The bed is comfortable, there's a fireplace, a fan and a small kitchenette and a tv. The couch and chair were comfortable and the look of the room is cute. The bathroom does leave a little to be desired, but I wasn't paying for a lavish room so I'm not upset. You do get a pair of binoculars in your room to look out at the ocean or the town which was a nice touch. The woman at the front desk - I'm horrible with names - was very kind and accommodating, she was so sweet and we were able to have some laughs when we were checking out the lobby. There is no AC but two windows do open in this room and it was able to cool off pretty fast, and the ocean is wonderful to listen to at night. No noise complaints since we were on the second floor. I would definitely stay here again, it's a beautiful place overall. ❤️ Thank you for giving us a good 1st wedding anniversary memory!!

Has great parking and a bathroom. Has Fogarty creek with a few little foot bridges, you can even spot a bunny on the paths on some days. Heading out to the beach (the best part) you have all you could ask for. A sandy beach, a rocky/pebbly beach, tide pools, a yucky little waterfall, little cove, and a large climbable (please be careful) rock. You can see starfish, anemones, barnacles and so much more. If you plan on climbing the rock as I did be very careful, but the views up there are unmatched. Not very many people know how sweet this beach is so I’ve never seen it too busy. Nice to visit any time of year. Remember watch your step at low tide and leave no trace. Keep our beaches beautiful.
