Which, don't let it fool you, can and is at times very deceiving, so make sure to pay close attention to the flags up at the beach. The purple flags mean there are stinging creatures in that area. The jelly fish were extremely dense. Like at most roughly 3-10 feet of clearing/ gaps between them, and I mean everywhere. To be prepared, there is a spray, I would recommend having on hand to help with the sting just in case. Red, yellow, or green flags indicate how dangerous the rip tide is in the area at the time. There was a shark we saw one morning that looked to be roughly 8- 10 ft in length cruising the surf too. So make sure you enjoy yourself when visiting anywhere and everywhere, but also be aware of the different kinds of possible dangers that are very real when taking in all of the amazing, beautiful, and breathtaking things god, nature, and man has to offer. Be sure to try to truely understand also how the danger and risks differs from place to place, but don't be to quick to judge anyone or anything based upon your findings or what you understand to be true. While there was seating throughout it was hard to till what was reserved for the Matlock crowd and the impending bingo game and what was general use. After 10-12 minutes the oysters were finished and we got a text to that extent. They were served in a boat like corn dogs at a T-ball, yet covered with the food safe plastic wrapping of saltines which glistened like the morning dew. The oysters themselves were alright, the Gouda was crunchy instead of ooey gooey but the oyster itself was flavorful and well cooked. Not the place for my demographic the early day caters to retired locals and the nights by reputation implies high schoolers and college kids. I would try the Yacht Club part but would not return here.

The place is unique and fun. Theres many different levels and places to go inside so you definitely won't feel clostrop closer smothered. It's like we'd say back home a dive bar but that's not a bad thing that's the most fun and welcoming. There was a guitarist who was very good in the 1 section, the bartender we met she was super super cool nice older lady smiling and joking around with us and her personality was very warm friendly and welcoming. Im not sure if most of the people that were there was on vacation like us or locals but everyone seemed to be happy and having a great time. This is not a 4.3 rated golf course. Unless your a low single digit handicap or going for an exceptional challenge this course is not fun to play. It has a very bad layout and the cart maps arnt detailed enough to show you where a lot of hazards are. The condition of fairways and tee boxes are not great considering how small they are and the price tag to play. Greens are in good shape, more than likely because few players bother to putt after losing 3-4 balls trying to get there like myself 🤣 I will personally never go back, but I do see how a really good golfer would enjoy the challenge. No excuse for the course condition though.

After your round, head into the clubhouse for your favorite adult beverage and some very tasty food. The dining room serves both breakfast and lunch as well as dinner on Wednesday nights. Most of the course is grounds under repair and is so poorly maintained. They definitely are not seeding as grass is very thin. Only 2 ball washers with 1 being dry and the other being mud. The beverage cart was only seen once by the club house as they don't go around. The bar closes by 4 pm. The greens are have way decent, but they go really slow. Chips up to and around the green have the most unusual bounces. The guy in the pro shop was nice. You can buy polos there for $85. You get three free tees and a small bucket of balls. Golf carts are the old original electric ones. This course is definitely not worth paying $70.

The first spot has bathrooms, a lifeguard, and showers. If you go down further you have parking across the road from the beach and it's more peaceful. The course was in margin shape and two of the tee boxes were just on a flat grass area. The proshop needs a refresh and when I bought Gatorade and asked for a bag of ice I was as told rather rudely you better not be bring in outside water. They also don’t let you drive the golf carts in the parking area so be prepared to carry your clubs to the carts. If you don’t golf much and want to save money then this maybe for you .

Now the staff were professional, but not friendly.(I don't put too much stock into that because these poor kids were working on Christmas Eve) but a smile wouldn't have killed them, nor would a "Thank You". This place has no trees to speak of really  & in summer it's HOT.  They needed to move the dumpster it was outside our window & listened to people slam lids, doors day & night! I do not feel worth almost $140 a night with fees etc though. It is well kept but could not find places for dogs to potty, but plenty found a spot to do so.. I saw we could have a small pen in one place then get there and it states NO! I wanted to put the 6x6 it had stated to keep my dogs from bolting out the door, but then again no where to put it, Again well maintained love, not a lot of tacky things I see at other parks but you can't do this or that to use/enjoy it!

The resort was clean and looks to be well maintained. There is no playground for children to play. We took ours to the Perdido Kids Park, which they loved. The resort is close to the beach and many good restaurants. Check in was quick and easy and the office staff was friendly and helpful. We didn’t use the clubhouse but it looks to be a great gathering place. The ice cream truck visits on Fridays. Overall a great place to stay and I would definitely recommend and visit again.

It was wonderful! The ship is a 53 foot catamaran. There are bathrooms on board (one men's and one women's). They serve light appetizers like chips and dip, soft drinks, and water. Alcohol is not served but you can bring your own, if you like. The crew was competent and pleasant. The cruise was between 1.5 and 2 hours long. We went from the inlet to close to Gulf Shores down the beach. Then, turned around, went a little further than the inlet where the boat is docked, and then came back to the inlet. The whole sailing experience was very relaxing. Even the part where our ship was shot at with fake cannons from a 'pirate' ship was fun. Definitely recommend! One note for if you are sailing with children - the dock leading to the ship has a rope banister but nothing between that and the dock. So, you will want to keep a close eye on kids, as there is nothing to keep them from slipping down into the water.

The home itself is spotless. They've thought of everything. Adjustable beds, beach towels, dishes, mugs, Keurig machine, all the beach gear, beautifully decorated. So much attention to detail. We booked this place with out really looking at the details. It turned out to be one of our best beach trips yet. We started getting notifications within a couple of days before trip with options to make our arrival easier, such as stocking the fridge with some things. They thought of everything. Kitchen has everything to make a great meal. Laundry is was stocked with detergent and softener and bathrooms are super clean and i also loved that each bathroom was stocked with method soaps, shampoos and conditioners. The beds are super cozy and clean with plenty of pillows and blankets. Every bedroom has Tv's and ceiling fans. The back deck is great for morning coffee or chilling out and sitting and relaxing and listening to frogs as the deck overlooks a lake. There are games, puzzles, cards and dominoes for the kids to play when they get back from the beach... they even provided beach towels which was great for us. Everything is clean and inviting and the garage is stocked full of everything you need for the beach. Chairs, floats, umbrella, a couple coolers, corn hole boards, Bicycles, grill with charcoal a beach wagon. When I say this place is great I guarantee that they earned it. There are flight simulators which are also for purchase. One is pretty tame but the others are pretty intense. It’s a bit pricy but worth it especially considering the money goes to running the museum. We visited both days of our weekend stay in Pensacola.
