Originally slated to be a 2 night trip, the tornado weather necessitated a change. We explored Clarkesdale and John hosted us for dinner at his house. Dinner was amazing. Whatever the reason for his non-return, it was his loss as he truly missed out on a memorable experience! DO NOT BE PUT OFF by the external appearance and black door... This venue is small, it is hot inside and is Cash Only but SO well worth the visit! Don't be shy, if it's after 1500hrs just open that door and you WILL be welcomed for an afternoon of history and blues music! And, if you open the door and decide it's not for you when you walk in, say so, be honest and move on... Easy👍🏼😁 We came with the intention of visiting Ground Zero but can you believe we never went in as, in the end, we felt the places we did visit and the people we met gave us a real feel for what Clarksdale is...
