It felt like too much time was wasted seeing the old church that had nothing to do with the Amish, except the q&a session there. I would've preferred skipping that and just using the time to see more Amish places. It would be more interesting to see the inside of one of the Amish schools we passed by. There should be a time limit mentioned for each place and we should be given a list of the places with the schedule of what we will see or do and where we will be going to so there is some organization and anticipation, and we can plan out how we want to spend our money. It would be good to explain that when we go into Fanny's house that it's not her new house we will be seeing but the old one and that we aren't touring the whole house, just the downstairs shop, kitchen and sewing/game room. I had the impression we would be seeing all of the house as you said she was opening her house up for us to see. Also, It would be nice if we were told in advance that there wasnt time for multiple carriage rides and that only 1 or 2 rides could be given and with limited seating...I think if carriage rides are being offered, we should be given a time limit for the rides and allow for anyone who would like to do it as well as be able to see the shop. We should be able to go inside the store first and come out and be able to ride the carriage instead of finding it being put away. There wasn't time to do both. So I think you should allow for more time at this Amish stop and the bakery which has the bakery and a shop next to each orher and a line of people. Seating was outside but with a large covered area. Upon entering food orders are placed at front counter with open kitchen behind. Very small menu, indicating chef based dishes that will be amazing. Tortellini was over the top wonderful. Staff was fast and courteous, even taking time to explain the 18 month risotto aging process! Plenty of parking on street or in nearby Lanesboro public lots.

Peter and Vicki were amazing hosts and went out of there way to make our visit amazing. The Breakfasts were outstanding and the food just seem to keep coming. The gazebo located on the roof of the house gives you a wonderful view of the bluffs and was a great spot to watch the sun set. We were in town to bike the Root River trail. It is only a couple of a block ride to get to the trail and the downtown area. The house had a great location for having the bikes stored overnight. The corn maze was huge and hard. So glad they gave us a map with checkpoints on the way in. I've never been beside such huge corn, 10-12' tall! The maze was so well planned out, there weren't any irritating shortcuts where people just plow through the corn and ruin the maze. My daughter and her friends really enjoyed the jump pad. There were lots of fun family things, like tractors to climb on, a farmer innovated basketball game, tether ball and ring toss.
