Mason gave a clear and thorough safety briefing, and Kirk guided us down the river with expert skill. Both were not only professional but also incredibly knowledgeable about the Gorge’s geology, which added so much to the experience. The trip offers a perspective of the Gorge you simply can’t get anywhere else — totally worth it. Wetsuits and booties kept us comfortable despite the chilly 50-degree water. One thing to note (which I don’t recall seeing in the description): there is some rock scrambling required to bypass sections of the river they don’t run. We loved this part and thought it added extra adventure, but if you’re less steady on your feet it may be worth asking about shorter trips or other options. All in all, an amazing outing — and we’d absolutely book again!
