The campground was located close to everything we wanted to do in Chattanooga. It was very quiet and super friendly. It's perfect for medium to large families (2 adults and 4 kids, in our case). We stayed in a 2 bedroom/1 bathroom cabin with a fold-out couch, and cooked most of our meals in the cabin. It fit our family perfectly. We also lucked out, because there were 4 or 5 other families with kids staying at the same time, so the playground was very active. We also did the gem mining experience, and the kids enjoyed that (youngest is 7, oldest is 13, and all had fun with the panning). We ended up not doing the cave tour on site, as our youngest two weren't allowed to do the longer tour. The cabins themselves feel very private, even though they're very close to everything. We went to Ruby Falls cave, and it was 12 minutes away. The aquarium is around 15 minutes. So the location is great for getting into town, but then you also have a place to come back and decompress in the evening with a yard and a deck. The cabins aren't brand-new, but they also haven't been left to fall apart. All of the appliances worked well and weren't messed up at all. The staff is wonderful (kinda what you'd expect from a Southern hospitality town), everyone is kind and easy-going. They picked our trash up within 5 minutes every time we set it out. Check in was quick, 3 or 4 minutes. All in all, 5 stars, and we'll keep this place in mind the next time we come this direction.

We had our camper, rented a cabin and a tent site for the kiddos to get the best camping experience ever. The staff here definitely were the definition of southern hospitality and were always available to answer questions and be helpful. The grounds were immaculate and provided playgrounds, dog park, grassy area for frisbee play and lots of room to explore and for the kids to ride bikes. Walmart is less than 2 miles away for any last minutes needs and activities galore on site and in Chattanooga. We were thrilled with everything and will be back!!

It has grandfather clocks, coocoo clocks and many more. They also used to let you watch repairs being done, super neat to watch or at least I thought so!? They had us arrive way too early (which is smart on their part as they have tons of stuff for sale.) We were each given a mini moon pie as a gift . We did not care for the blueberry she gave us. No A/C on this boat and it was hot outside so it was warm inside with only some fans blowing. It is a nice cruise and if I did it again I would chose a later time where the colors of the trees were changing and the temperatures were cooler. All of the workers were nice - there was a bartender on our level and the captain and another uniformed fella at the entrance as everyone was boarding.

The interior is comfortable and well-kept, with plenty of seating. Outside you’ll find pool tables and a nice space to relax with a view of the water. This was a casual, relaxing time. Arriving 1 hour before allowed plenty of time to check in, use the restrooms and wander in the large gift shop. As always the staff on and off the boat were very nice and helpful. Captain Mike and Sean are always fun. We got to see several different birds including a Bald Eagle!! The leaves haven’t really started to change yet but it was still a very nice trip except for some of the other passengers. I just wish there was an ADULTS ONLY Foliage cruise. It was a small group, and my son has a speech delay, but the scientist leading the show was so kind, patient, and engaging. He truly gave us an experience we’ll never forget. We spent hours exploring, learning, and bonding together. Even the café staff were so thoughtful — they kindly let me store my belongings while we explored. There is a small parking lot that holds maybe 6-8 vehicles. There is a plaque explaining the historical significance of the site, then a stone pathway leading down to the edge of the cliff. The stone path turns from smooth to rocky, but it was a fairly easy hike down and back up. Once you reach the end of the path you are greeted by magnificent views of the Tennessee River and mountains. The area is not very large. We luckily only encountered a few other people on our adventure. Two ladies had brought lawn chairs and were sitting off to the side watching some rock climbers rappel down the rocky sides of Lookout Mountain. They had the right idea (the ladies, not the climbers 😂)!We saw a path off to the left and walked down it a little ways before turning back. I’m not sure how far it went or where it lead to. This was a wonderful surprise to behold with my own eyes. I would definitely recommend checking out Sunset Rock. Also a good thing to mention is that there are NO railings or fences to prevent someone from falling off. It’s about 1,300 feet up and you would surely meet your maker. I do not recommend bringing small children or misbehaved animals as you may never see them again!

Would out on the very top of your list of things to do in Chattanooga! Reviews were mixed so we weren’t really sure what to expect but the museum exceeded our expectations and then some! Beautiful museum-clean, well organized, informative with a lot of interactive exhibits. My 14 year old who’s very into guitars absolutely loved it. He was so intrigued throughout. Said of things we did in Chattanooga (Ruby Falls, Incline Railway, and Rock City) this was by far his favorite. While I’m not as in to music as he is, I also found it interesting and enjoyed the historical knowledge there and learning more about Chattanooga’s history too. Clean, modern space with polite, knowledgeable staff. Lovely bathroom facilities. And can’t beat it for $15! We spent about 3 hours enjoying the museum. I’d recommend allowing at least 2 but honestly, even if you’ve just got an hour it’s worth the visit! Oh, and some other reviews mentioned the vault wasn’t open- it’s open now and it’s super cool!

Parking is small so we had to park on the side of the road. Dog friendly just make sure your dog is on a leash and controllable, we have a little dog so it was easy to pick him up when we came to a dog on the trail. We couldn't make it to the top of the falls because of my stability and we would have had to get in the water which was cold, but did get almost to the top. It is a very small but informative center. The park ranger working that day was very nice. Upon checking into Room 530, we discovered a serious leak from the bathroom ceiling with a puddle already on the floor. While using the restroom, water actually dripped down — clearly a major maintenance issue. We immediately contacted the front desk and were told we could switch rooms, but needed to vacate immediately because maintenance needed to fix the room for the next guest due to the hotel being overbooked. That explanation left us feeling like an inconvenience rather than valued guests — definitely not the kind of hospitality we expected. The second room we were moved to was clean and comfortable, and the bed was great. However, we had paid extra for a “mountain view” and were disappointed to find our view consisted of the parking garage, the rooftop bar, and the valet area. Not exactly what you picture when booking a premium view. Safe to say, we won’t be paying for that upgrade again. On a positive note, having a Starbucks on site was a nice perk. The overall stay was decent, but the staff wasn’t particularly welcoming. It wasn’t the cheapest place, but definitely worth the extra cost. From the first phone call to Hanna a week before our arrival to the late night check in with the most incredible lady. We didn’t catch her name, but SHE was Awesome. I requested a couple things to help our week long stay and they delivered! Bringing my wife back from surgery I needed a wheelchair. They have one. The valet guys were so kind and helpful. The pharmacy and grocery store is also a block away. You’ll pay a bit more, but it’s convenient! We felt very safe and had no issues walking around to the store or restaurants. We did do an initial shop at a Walmart about 15 minutes from here. But anything else we needed was a block away. The bar in the lobby was great, food was good. The parking is so easy and the ramp is clean and safe. As for the sights, we saw enough to know, we’ll be back to explore more. What a beautiful area. There are about 25 different pinball machines ranging in age from 1931-2025, plus several classic arcade games such as; Galaga, PAC-Man, Frogger, Centipede, Donkey Kong, Dig Dug, etc. The gentlemen who run the arcade/museum were extremely helpful and kind. We had so much fun we didn’t want to leave but we had tickets for another attraction that evening. Wish we had skipped the ticketed attraction and just stayed all day.
