Came to know of Vasse Virgin as our BNB along with many of the wineries around Barossa use their products. My wife & I decided to drop by to explore their product range as we enjoyed the scent of their soaps.
We ultimately left with a few products of our own, we enjoyed the experience, as well as the service & help we had in store. Would recommend visiting!

Historical site of Seppeltsfield estate vinegar factory that ran from 1882 - 2000. Now transformed into a Vasse Virgin factory. Despite how much we admire the Seppeltsfield wine, they are not easy for travelers (weight, custom duty etc) which make VV’s extra virgin olive oil lotion an excellent souvenir. Allocate time after lunch at Fino to visit.

From the moment you enter the building you are engulfed in an array of lovely aromas. The place is extremely well presented and the staff are really helpful and friendly. You are encouraged to smell, taste and try the variety of different foods and products they have available. There is something for everyone. The products aren't inexpensive but they are made with quality produce and are well presented. I recommended visiting between wine tastings in the area.

I was fortunate to stumble across one of the many beautiful products when visiting the Hayes winery, who very kindly told me where the shop was located in Seppeltsfield.
I entered the shop, and met the most wonderful and welcoming lady with red hair and amazing earrings, (I'm only sorry in my excitement....I forgot your name), who along with the master creator was able to help me find the exact hand cream I was searching for for my SIL, by looking at their records for their winery customer.
I only wish I had more time to experience every creation and could visit you again in my home town of Canberra. But I can always find you online for the best smelling and feeling creations of all.
Sending hugs from the chilly ACT and.....I'll be sure to get back to the valley and to Vasse Virgin. 💚

Superb Gin!
My wife and I visited SRD on New Years Eve 2024 and were warmly greeted by the team, especially Aiden who gave us really good insight about the history of SRD and their story.
We sampled the Bold Botantical Gin flight. The Savoury Allsorts was very unique and would highly recommend. The Navy Strength was awesome, too, but the Barrel Aged Shiraz Gin was just next level! No wonder it won them 99/100 at the international Gin festival. Well deserved.
Absolutely worth a visit whilst you're in the Barossa and need a little break from the wine!

Dropped by SRD for their bold botanical tasting flight on a Thursday afternoon. It was nice and quiet, and the ambience is great.

The tasting experience is on four versions or take on their gins, all different. Starting with neat, then ice and then house made tonic water I believe. Very interesting flavours. Interesting piece of Seppeltsfield history. The view is pretty good, although you can get good view from the road nearby as well. As someone with mobility issues it was very hard going as it is a steep walk. It would have been good if they could at least, at a minimum, put a rail for the steps at the start, or even better a rail all the way up. Certainly not accessible for those in wheelchairs. Probably best only to bother if you are able to easily get up steep paths and not worth the effort otherwise. They have a car park there that fits plenty of cars so parking is not a problem. You can see all the way up from there so it is worth driving to at least.

It was a recommendation from my sister in-law to my wife that we had to visit here with our friends on this trip. This is definitely a beautiful place, we first had a quick bite and the cafe then attended the wine tasting. Our host was Russell and he was magnificent. After I advised him that I don't drink wine so there was only going to be 3x of us tasting wines, he offered their excellent cordial. So it was just my Mrs and our friends going to taste their wines. Myself together with our friends younger son were going to drink the Cordial. I was impressed. The wine tasting went well, we left with 3x bottles and our friends with 2. One of ours was the Cordial. I did the luxury wine tasting and it was excellent. We sampled four wines, along with a wine they classed as an “old fashioned,” which was a lovely surprise. The reds were the highlight for me I could have easily walked out with several bottles! Next time, I’ll definitely book into their restaurant, which offers a set four-course menu.
The venue also has a small gin distillery and a wellness centre with handmade soaps and skincare products, which I’d love to explore more on my next visit. The scenery and buildings are beautiful, easy to get to, and the staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming.
Highly recommend visiting I’ll definitely be going back.

So really sad everywhere including Ai must see and Google must sees, brochures at Tourist Information centers were - you have to do the taste your year of birth tasting at Seppletsfield Wines so we planned our day around this to find that NO this hasn’t been done for years and that to do a cellar tasting we had to book in. That’s extremely hard when you have limited time n the area. So heads up - if you want to do a tasting you need to book in advance. Really disappointed. Bright note the artisans were lovely and friendly and we spent our wine budget there.

What I liked about this Chateau was that during the class where they shared about their wines, every attempt was made to help you appreciate their products, and they even provided coloured notes for you to keep, after their guided tour.

This is absolutely stunning!!!! A must see if you’re in the Barossa. The chateau is beautiful… the hounds are stunning… and the cellar door is opulent.
We opted for a tasting and our host Rachel was fabulous… she explained the wines in detail and gave us a history of the chateau which was fascinating. You absolutely must put this on your list to visit in the Barossa, there are a lot of “commercial” wineries in the Barossa, but this one was an absolute standout for us. We made a quick stop here and opted for the Explorer Tasting. The staff member looking after us was incredibly generous, expanding the experience to include sparkling, several Shiraz and port options, and even some whites. While the overall style wasn’t exactly to my taste, we did find a couple of reds and a port we really enjoyed and took a bottle or two home. The premises are impressive, and the staff are both knowledgeable and welcoming. Definitely worth a visit.

I highly recommend Hentley Farm winery, one of the better Cellar tasting in the Barossa, you need to book your tasting weeks ahead as they are always busy.
You decide what level of wine you want to try and get comfortable in the original 1850s restored cottage with cheeses, olives, breads and snacks to have while you go through a very good wine selection.
Shirley was our host for the afternoon and she is so passionate and knowledgeable its quite infectious. We tried and bought some of the best wines we have had in a very long time.

Incredible lunch with paired wine experience on Friday. We reserved months ahead of time for 6 of us, and staff were accommodating of multiple dietary restrictions (veg, seafood allergy, no coriander preference).
Exceptional level of service from everyone. All of the food was standout from the fresh vegetables with unreal miso dip (I wish I could buy it in a jar) to the insanely flavoursome broth dish, beef cheeks and dessert, we truly couldn’t pick a favourite as it was all incredible. A couple of us did the wine pairing which I highly recommend as it paired beautifully with the meal.
Highly recommend booking if you are looking for an incredible meal, great wine and fabulous service.

We booked a wine tasting at Hentley Farm based on reading reviews about it being a must-do while in the Barossa. We were NOT disappointed!
You need to book a slot and allow a couple of hours. Our host (Annie I think - apologies, terrible with names) was so accommodating, personable and knowledgeable. She was very attentive but also gave us time and space to enjoy each tasting and the beautiful snacks that were provided.

The wine tasting experience and service was exceptional! We arrived on a quiet Tuesday a couple hours early and the staff were more than accomodating to take us in early. The ambience and decor are wonderful inside with the sound of sparrows chirping outside. Won’t ever go back again because I had a worst wine tasting experience(been to about 15 wineries so far and all of the staff were quite easygoing and hospitable to me even English is not my first language but I’m not that bad as I have been working in construction and hospitality for 5 years). Anyway I did not feel welcomed and felt like I was treat like someone who do not know anything about wine even English, and they might laugh at you for being silly.

Our best wine tasting in Australia! We knew Tscharke wines from a tasting in Germany many years ago and wanted to have a look at the winery. We were greeted by Conny, fellow German, who made us feel very welcome. She told us a lot about the history, the production and the wines. We had a very special tasting! Conny took us around and even introduced us to Damian and Liam. The location is awesome (beautiful decorated, nice garden area) as are the wines. Had an incredible experience with our host. Connie was warm, welcoming, insightful, & funny. It was only the 3 of us there for our tasting, and because of this it felt like a very personal experience. Not only was the wine tasting exceptional, but the atmosphere of the little house/wine tasting room was unparalleled. Tscharke’s is the best winery experience in the Barossa. (I might also be the best kept secret in the Barossa - as it’s not listed on tourism experience websites and so I only heard about it from a friend). Wow am I pleased we visited the cellar door on December 27. The customer service was amazing. The place so tastefully and meticulously designed and decorated - like something out of Harry Potter. We were allowed to wander downstairs to the incredibly majestic underground cellar and stroll through the attic past some beautiful artwork before heading to the bar for some wine tasting. We were allowed to sit outside to taste with the most peaceful and calming setting in the valley A looking across the hills and vineyards, it didn’t feel at hot as it does at other wineries in the area. Although I am torn when I think back to the experience as next time I might sit at the bar to absorb all the incredible knowledge of the staff. All delicious wines, I usually try to buy only 1 bottle at each winery that I visit just for the memory, but here I couldn’t resist - I bought 4. Thank you Tscharke’s!! Great memories.

What a stunning winery. Tscharke Wines is worth a visit just for the beautiful cellar door. The excellent wines are just a bonus. The cellar door features an amazing vaulted ceiling, with a beautiful upstairs gallery where you can sit with a bottle or two of their finest and soak in the atmosphere.
Then there is Tscharke's hidden treasure; an amazing underground cellar. Visually stunning, you can book a special tasting of their flagship wines in this space, and I'd love to do that one day.
We sat for a standard tasting and enjoyed their selection of six excellent wines. I particularly liked their Stone Well Grenache and Project Mataro, but their other reds, rosé and a couple of whites were also very good. This place should definitely be on your next Barossa Valley itinerary!

My kids had a fantastic time, and I couldn’t be more grateful to the wonderful staff. I had shared some dietary concerns before the workshop, and they went above and beyond to make sure my boys were well looked after .. even going as far as changing some of the products to suit their needs. The whole experience was so thoughtfully organised. The lunch by the lake was beautiful, the view was perfect, and the pizza and ice cream were a big hit with the kids. Truly appreciate the care and effort put in .. we’ll definitely be back!

This is my first time visiting this estate, and I must say, it's absolutely fantastic! It’s a wonderful place to unwind, especially for children who want to enjoy a little adventure of their own after a day spent exploring the beautiful Barossa Valley wine region.

As far as I know, there is not plenty of funs for young children in Barossa Valley. If you visit the Barossa Valley for wine tasting with young children, this Barossa Valley Chocolate Company is definitely a must-visit.
Not just a chocolate shop, there is also a decent cafe within the same building. Good to come here to enjoy a quick lunch and perhaps purchase of some chocolates for kids.

Yes it's a nice place, great atmosphere, chocolate is top quality, and very nice restaurant.
However, not at those prices. 6 of us went, 2 adults and 4 kids. Rule was 2 items each.
Then we had lunch, very underwhelming. Food was OK but once again, not at that price.
Chocolate and lunch set me back $500.
Apparently they have exclusive chips too, I got 11 of them with my burger. Yep, 11 chips, 1 handful. As the photo shows, $26 for about a $15 meal.
$8 for a milkshake, I didn't measure the amount but I'd guess the glass was 200ml.
They were nice people, very friendly, i suppose a visit just the once is ok. Mortgage the house first. (11 chips. Lol...)

We popped in here for a morning coffee, which was mediocre.
This is a neat and clean establishment with good toilets . Plenty of seating both inside and out, facing a small lake.
It is totally touristic and the prices are eye-watering.
Check out the price of the giant “freckle” for 50 cents under $160. Mum and dad, this will be an expensive trip if all your kids want to take something home. Most packs are around $20 or more and don’t contain a lot of chocolate.

Had a wine tasting and lovely picnic out on the spacious lawn next to the vines. We had a table with umbrella although there are picnic mats available too if that is what you’d prefer.
Wines were delicious (Shiraz/ Syrah).
The lady serving us was friendly, helpful, engaging and so knowledgeable.
Beautiful cheese and charcuterie plate (for 2 pax) as per my picture. Went really well with our wines.

We had a beautiful wine tasting with Melissa at St Halletts today. Melissa shared a wealth of knowledge, not only about the incredible wines we were tasting but about the history of the winery, the entire Barossa, the winemakers and gave us an insight into the entirety of the winery. Absolutely brilliant afternoon! Came as a walk-in and did their red wine tasting. We had such a great time, the wines were delicious and Nicholas was so engaging and knowledgeable. He also took into account what we were enjoying and gave us the 2017 Steading to try, which we loved so much we ended up buying! We’re not wine experts but Val spent the time giving us generous tastings of their whole range, and explaining their range, which was a wonderful experience.
Val is a lovely lady who connected immediately with us, and she shared her experiences and went over and above during our visit. We bought some beautiful wines without feeling any pressure at all in a very relaxing environment.

What a lovely wine tasting experience we had at Sieber Wine with our charming hostess and owner Val. The extensive vineyards are about an hours drive from Adelaide and well worth it. Val took us through the vineyards extensive selection with a generous pour! My unusual favourite was the Piper Lili Viognier, which was going to be an excellent pairing with our Tasmanian cheeseboards. The Ernest Shiraz and GSM were stars although we enjoyed most of them. The ability to cellar the reds for a while was a bonus. I found the prices very reasonable after coming from Coonawarra wine region, but don’t let that deter you wine snobs! We left clutching a carton with details on how to order online. Thank you Val for an informative and most enjoyable afternoon. We will be back!

We had the absolute best experience at Sieber Wines! We were lucky enough to have Val Sieber herself as our host, and what a treat that was. The cellar door is right in her home, which makes it feel so personal and welcoming — you can really tell this is a family-run winery with so much heart.
Val’s stories had us laughing nonstop — at one point I was in tears from laughing so hard! The tasting was free with very generous pours, and every wine we tried was fantastic and so reasonably priced.
If you’re in the Barossa, and you especially have a fun sense of humor, make sure you stop by to see Val — it’s honestly one of the most memorable and enjoyable cellar door experiences you’ll ever have.

I'm so glad we got to visit as Val is an absolutely lovely lady who oozes charm and treats you like an old friend whom she hasn't seen for a long time. We were lucky as we were the only ones there and so it was a very intimate tastings experience. She explained the background stories of each of their wines as you tasted them. As well as, a bit of the overall history of the vineyard. The wines themselves are all amazing and varied - the Ernest Shiraz stands out, but so do they ALL! Fantastic wines, lovely knowledgeable host (Jen). We did the $15 tasting experience but Jen snuck in a couple of extras as they happened to be open and she was feeling generous. Could not recommend Schubert any more! Alison took 6 star care of us, she was amazing. The house was modern with a gorgeous farmhouse design, we loved that each bedroom was spacious and had its own ensuite. The in house dinner was such a brilliant way to celebrate kicking off our wine weekend & the chefs from Fino and Appellation were just so outstanding. The food and service was great.
We also drank so much of the Schubert estate wine. Overall we all said we would book again at the same house as it was great.
Don’t hesitate to book this- just do it!

Including the award winning Rose wine, which was a steal at $8 a glass. I bought a couple of bottles.

OMG, what a find, we went to a concert at Seppeltsfield Winery, and this was the perfect location. The cottage was a mix of modern and rustic, so pretty, the facilities were great, lots of space, and in a quiet location, where all you could hear were birds.
We stumbled on these cottages by accident, solely due to it's proximity to the concert, but will definitely return again. Thanks again for saving us when we had nowhere to stay.

Have stayed here when the main building was a B&B which was fantastic but has now been converted to a cellar door for Greenock Creek Wines and is absolutely perfect for this experience. We loved chatting wine with her and learning about the incredible journey she and her family have taken to build their label. The Shiraz and Grenache were both exceptional, showcasing depth and elegance. This was our last stop on a day of wine tasting and an absolutely perfect finish to the day. Tom was very down to earth, and it was great to get the wine maker's personal perspective. The wines themselves were the best we'd had all day, and the best I've personally had in the Barossa! An absolute hidden gem in the heart of Barossa.
Chanced upon Curator Wine Co when we were staying in CABN- Chloe (located on the vineyard).
Of all the wine tastings we did at the Barossa valley, this was by far the most personal and enjoyable. It was so enjoyable that we went twice and brought two other friends along the second time. The wine tasting was done by the wine maker himself (Thomas White) and it was an absolute privilege to hear a passion-forward introduction to a boutique vineyard. The stories of his work and thought processes behind the scenes was my favourite part and they were so inspiring that I found wondering if I could be part of the winemaking experience myself on his vineyard (next vintage maybe?).
Besides tasting the current vintage releases, it was the most amazing experience when Tom brought us directly to his workspace where we sampled wine directly from the barrels that were still being aged.
A common theme of the wines at Curator Wine Co was how perfumed it was on the nose, how rich the flavours were on the palate and how smooth the finish was, without the "reflux burn"(if you get what I mean). We were pleasantly surprised to know that the bottles were 14.5% - 15% alcohol percentage because of how easy to drink the wines were.
Through our conversations, we were glad to know that Tom had plans to export his wines into Singapore. We cannot wait and will definitely be on a lookout for Curator Wine Co when it arrives in Singapore.

We just visited Curator Wine Co during our very short visit in the Barossa Valley. We came across their Cab Sav from our local bottleshop in Maroubra Beach after searching high and low for a good quality Cab Sav from Barossa Valley corked bottle. My husband and I managed to squeeze into a seating very last minute, due to a cancellation, for our 1st anniversary.
We were gifted this experience as a wedding present and were so lucky to be able to use it during our stay in the Barossa.

We booked a Gin Blending Class at the Barossa Gin Lab and were lucky enough to have Elli Beer as our host for a private session.
The experience was outstanding, Elli guides you through a hands-on process of experimenting with a wide range of botanicals to create a gin perfectly matched to your own taste.
The best part? You get to take home two bottles of your very own creation – a brilliant keepsake of the day.
We’ll definitely be back to try the cocktail class next time.
The Gin Lab itself is set within the beautifully restored old Marananca School that now also houses a winery and cellar door, pottery studio, and one of South Australia’s most exciting up-and-coming restaurants, Staguni.
It’s a destination in itself, and this class is an absolute must-do in the Barossa.

Barossa & Light Cab Service are proud to be the first to review Seize the Day Wines, and we rate it 5 out 5 stars because of what is on offer here.
There is not a cellar door so to speak, but there is something, just as great! Personal wine tours through their vineyards followed by a comprehensive tasting of the their wines, with owner Peter Milhinch, who explains a lot of things including - their approach to viticulture, grape vine management, how the they trellis the vines, water management, and a whole stack more.

Very friendly owners who are artists themselves and exhibit in the gallery. The gallery is large with multiple rooms. A nice range of different artists were exhibiting. You do need to drive along a dirt road to get there but it is definitely worth the effort. The dirt road has been smoothed now so it was easy to use. The garden is lovely and is a nice place to sit and have a glass of wine.
