You can sit outside on the grass and enjoy the view or head upstairs for indoor seating with a nice outlook over the water. The roast was really tasty, came with all the trimmings, and was a good portion size too. Sister restaurant isn’t dog friendly. The food was amazing and we’re pretty picky. I had 3 courses from their lunch menu £25. Each course being really generous in size and such god value. The freshness, flavours - just wonderful. Hake starter, crispy beef for main and then the chocolate brownie ice cream for desert.. My husband had 2 courses from the main menu but from ‘starter’ option. Best mussels he’s ever had. I don’t do mussels but they were so good. Calamari was so fresh. Such a warm welcome from Emily from arrival to leaving. She was so friendly and advice on dishes was appreciated. A blustery day and pretty quiet at the c our visit but can imagine a wonderful lovely venue at busier times. The glow of the fire was also very welcoming. Highly recommend and so worth a visit. The staff were lovely and could not do enough for us. The room was great,a really comfy bed and a fridge with milk and water,plenty of tea and coffee. It’s an amazing pub with a huge amount of outdoor seating spread across several levels built into the cliffside, overlooking the harbour — the views are simply stunning! Its location overlooking the entrance to the harbour is awesome, perfect whatever the weather, perhaps especially bad weather as all you want to do is sit in this cosy pub, order another drink and watch the waves roll in. We were out for a long coastal walk & on our return journey when in search of a hot coffee, but oh no! The perfect place to be on a sunny summer's day. The mussels were good - cooked in a very tasty garlic & white wine creamy sauce. The name gave away thy it was sea food but when we got to the shack the menu offered a great selection pf seafood and b vegetarian as well. The wife went for the tiger prawns in garlic butter and the octopus for me as well as a glass of wine and a cider. When th food arrived we were very pleased with the portions given as they were large but on trying the food it was also lovely. The octopus was lovely and soft and the coating was so crunchy and with the mayo it hit the spot 150%. The wife loved her prawns and we both finished off both of our orders. Needless to say we will be going back to have more - next time I think I’ll be having their scallops. Even though you’re sitting by the harbour they have covers out over the tables and an electric heater on the wall so we were lovely and warm. The building is clean and modern with a cool interior and nice outside area for those sunny summer days. We ordered two coffees a latte, which was silky smooth, soft and the perfect strength and a pour over, which I would argue is the purest form of coffee, as such poor quality beans and/or technique are laid bare. The pour over was superb, super clean, light bean oils on the surface, no water mineral film and superb clarity. You get a choice of beans for the pour over, I went for a washed variety which was a nice change. It's easy to get super geeky with coffee; however, even if you're not really into it to that extent you can't fail to be impressed with the quality of coffee on offer.

The beach is located close to the shops, cafés, pubs, and restaurants around the harbour so it's easy to walk back for food or a drink then return to the beach later. Access is via a slope or staircase from the road above, the stairs are fairly steep; however, the slope has a fine layer of sand over it and is slippery. The sand is actually fine shingle so great for relaxing on but not for sand castle building etc. The beach almost completely disappears at high tide. The beach at high tide slopes gently into the sea; however, it has a number of small steps in it meaning that at low tide it gets deep very quickly, it is lifeguard patrolled and so long as you follow their advice it's safe to swim. There's definitely 'prettier' beaches in Cornwall but Porthleven beach is hardly ugly and definitely worth going to.

The quality and choice of food and drink was excellent, I managed to sample 3 amazing dishes in one day (you have to treat yourself right?) and washed it down with a nice pint of Korev. The festival was very well organised, the parking was convenient at the football club as you walked straight into the festival from there, it was well marshalled and there was a really nice vibe, with a good mix of family’s and people there for a big weekend, either way everyone looked like they was having a great time. 100% will go next year and would recommend to anyone!

Absolutely fantastic brilliant place. I had read some reviews that it was “dated” etc, but I found this place extremely well manicured and looked after, it was a very pleasant surprise. Spotless clean park, the rides in great order and all the staff were lovely people. But this very tiny theme park is actually pretty lovely and fun! My favourite rides here were the log flume and the drop tower! Their only rollercoaster was closed, probably for maintenance. The go karts were an extra £5. I wasn't a big fan of the bumper cars and the waltzer here though and they didn't offer enough food options here though. But I mostly had a fun time! I also find it weird how it's dog friendly especially since it's a theme park. Overall, I highly recommend it!

I went for a medium steak. The staff were very warm and friendly checking I didn't want to add a coffee or a drink. The pastry was amazing best I have had in Cornwall. I had been a little disappointed as initially I didn't find the steak, all was at one end. On contacting customer services to review I was delighted with the service given, who immediately apologised and looked at a solution to resolve. We walked in to find some gorgeous artwork. One spoke to us both, we had to have it. The coastline was so atmospheric as the clouds broke and the sun poured through in bands of evening light. His young mate, George, was an informative guide and added to the good humour of the trip. The cruise would have been really enjoyable without the dolphins, but their sighting made it all thrilling and memorable. Matt circled the boat for twenty minutes giving us a fantastic experience of the dolphins. Not to be missed if you are on holiday in this area.

Matt and George were so good with our 2 younger kids - they really made them feel comfortable on the boat. Mind you, all the fish helped, too!
