We had a wonderful time reading about the stories behind the photography. Most of the artwork was incredibly eye opening and highlighted the importance of protecting the ocean and learning to live in harmony with our surroundings. We were told to watch a video on where the artists captured their photos and the stories behind them. But unfortunately there was no music or sound to accompany this video which did have enough backing to really hit home emotionally and allow the watcher to fully immerse in the exhibition or in the important message which is trying to be shared amongst younger viewers and adults who wish to make more of a difference through change. All in all it was a wonderful exhibition which did leave a profound feeling of hope for the future.

Our tour guide Maureen was well versed on the history and included some of her experiences there as a guide. We were surprised to be able to use dousing rods throughout the tour as well as trying on the straight jackets used back in the day. We did the "Spirits & Ales Haunted Pub Tour" and learnt some really cool facts and rumours about Melbourne and it's buildings. Did you know the famous (in Melbourne hehe) painting in Young & Jackson hosted in the Chloe's restaurant that her name is Marie! and that Cloe is her Sister! The prices are reasonable as the tours don't (or didn't on this trip) include a welcome drink to the publicans we visited so read ya tour information carefully to set the scene before arrival :) and eat beforehand hehe :) Shout out to Julie - our guide who was amazing, fabulous and super cool :) Definitely will look to do more of these tours in the future and with this company (probably when it's a bit warmer hehe) as their knowledge and selection are tops :)

The ladies there were very friendly, did not mind us as my toddler just runs around pointing at the pictures on the brochures and being excited by everything around that's simply new to him. They even gave him an "I ❤️ Williamstown" sticker which he thoroughly loved and proudly wore on his wrist all afternoon. They were also super helpful to other visitors who dropped by and were actually looking for information. I was surprised to see so many brochures that span across all of Victoria instead of just the local area, so worth dropping by even if you're only here for a short visit, you may find a hidden gem to discover for later!

We took a ferry from Southbank to Williamstown, had a fabulous lunch at one of the cafes and then went exploring until it was time to board the ferry a few hours later. While exploring we came across this beautiful botanical gardens area that was filled with people in each little area within the gardens. The gardens were immaculate and even though there was so much activity going on around us, the tranquility felt within this park will never be forgotten. A beautiful place to go to, whether it's a family bbq, a wedding ceremony, a group of teens just hanging out with their closest friends, a birthday party for both young and old, this is definately the place to do it. Absolutely stunning.
