My husband said the fish and chips was the best he'd ever eaten! I had the South African pizza and my mind was blown - SO GOOD! All the staff were very friendly and helpful; atmosphere was lovely; and service was quick despite the restaurant being full. Lovely restaurant and fun to have a few South African options on the menu without it being a specifically South African restaurant. Thanks guys! We'll definitely be back!

OK this is a bit of a hike. The Lower Birks Park looks like a modern creation but with some interesting additions and a lovely peaceful place for memorials to the fallen. This really is a lovely spot. When we were there the wild garlic was in full bloom... and it was glorious, this is the end of May/beginning June. One does not always think of garlic being a scent and colour of the wild but there you go. The walk round the falls is slightly tricky and not particulary accessible but if you use the car park up Crieff Rd, watch out it is tucked behind the traffic lights by the bridge, at least you are halfway there. Plenty of parking but no loo or ramps or cafe.....but then you have loads in the town itself. In fact it is a good way of working off the calories that the wonderful food stops pile on you. The walk is grand but you do need to take a bit of care.....this is not a tarmac stroll. But the views and the atmosphere is wouderful. All in all it is well worth the effort and we spotted a Capercaille.....not a fish but a monster killer grouse.....Thats wot the misses said.....no not really. It is a sort of grouse though. The circuit to the lower falls took about an 1hr....and a bit. A scattering of Scot's poems follow you aound and there is the odd statue....occasional not weird. We accessed the walk via the town and so took in the Lower Birks Park...and that is what we would recommend. Enjoy!
