Walking around at your own pace in a beautiful tropical setting with fish pools and fountains and butterflies in every colour and size flying around and even landing on you!! The venue features a lot of interactive contraptions and truly creative art pieces that spark curiosity and imagination. The environment is very engaging, especially for children they were genuinely excited and thoroughly enjoyed exploring everything on offer. First, while the interactive installations are visually captivating, the inability to physically engage with most of them makes some exhibits feel more like animations than hands-on art. Especially good on either a rainy day or when it’s boiling hot outside and you need some aircon! Even just entering the museum there’s a ball contraption that I got stuck watching for 5 minutes. Don’t be fooled by the size of the museum as you genuinely could take 1-2 hours to look through everything. Every single contraption is a work of art, and you can watch them for minutes on end. They are all operated by waving your hand in front of a sensor that’s located next to each machine. It kept me and my girlfriend entertained for over an hour. There’s even a make your own marble contraption in the back of the museum where you stick wooden tracks onto a metal wall and run marbles down. We got sidetracked doing this for a very long time! The price is extremely good and well worth a visit. Highly recommended.

It’s a little grubby but I can only imagine the difficulty in keeping some of the detailed creations completely dust free. On this occasion we booked the new Beyond The Looking Glass attraction as it would be fun for my kids to do, they thoroughly enjoyed working through the quest booklet as a team. We went for a river cruise with Avon boating which lasted 30 mins. Audio handset and map is provided for places of interest along the route. It was nice when the swans were following the boat. The lady and gentleman in photo were very welcoming and helpful. Would highly recommend and can't wait for a return visit.

It's clear the cats come first, and even clearer how happy they are! They were all in good spirits, very playful and curious. Both mornings we ordered coffee and had it out there, and cocktails one afternoon. We did see some signs of the previous night's activities (like cigar stubs and glassware) but it was easy to find a clean spot. It was lovely; we did not want to leave. The staff was so friendly and helpful. Everyone we spoke to was charming and great. The restaurant in the hotel looked very nice, but the dinner menu did not seem very kid-friendly so unfortunately we were not able to eat there. They also have a large breakfast room but we chose to eat elsewhere, aside from morning coffee in the courtyard. On top of everything, the rates were VERY reasonable for what seemed like a pretty busy time, I even think it was heading into a holiday weekend. We really loved it here and were so sad to leave. We have joked many times since then about winning the lottery and then just living at this hotel!!

We love them and planned on enjoying this one too. Sadly we were assigned a room in the historical side that was loaded with dust. It was all over the coffee machine. the lights, lamop shade, and the windowsills. The bathroom was moldy, and dusty, and had a wonky toilet seat. We told the folks at the desk. They promised it would be taken care of. The coffee machine got wiped off. That's it. We asked for a room change and was told it wasn't possible.We would have happily paid any price difference. We ended up cleaning the room. On the bright side the hotel has a great location. It's right in the center of lovely Stratford Upon Avon. The new side of the hotel is bright, lovely, and clean as a whistle.

Wow — what an incredible experience at The Boat House in Stratford-upon-Avon! Set right by the canal, the location is stunning, but it’s the food that truly stole the show. It had been noisy when we arrived and we had been assured it would turn off when the kitchen closed. My husband went downstairs at 1:40am after giving up trying to sleep to find someone to turn it off. It took a while to fall asleep again and at 5:30am they were turned on again! Ruined the next day we were so exhausted. The lovely staff did their utmost to find us another room and we were moved to the first floor directly below this room. It was still noisy. You wouldn't want to sit on the balcony, we didn't. We managed, through exhaustion, to sleep better that night. We weren't very impressed to be told that "no one else has ever complained". Really? I can't believe that at over £200 a night per room! I expect a good night's sleep at least! We would love to stay here again but we would want a room facing the car park! How sad is that?

I had been given a Gin School experience for my Birthday. I went with my bestie. What a wonderful 3 hours we had. Welcomed by David & shown in and a welcome drink of a Gin & Tonic. We then were advised of our Gin's % alcohol. a 73% then we had it blended. Afterwards we labelled and bottled our Gin which we really liked the flavour of Our Gin was 44.5%. Boats were priced fairly and hadn't gone up due to covid closures, which is mint. The staff were brilliant where the motorboats were hired. The big wheel was lots of fun although we did think it was a bit stingy that a 3 year old was charged the same price as adults at £6. Most things were open although the street performers were not out this time round. There's beautiful walks for doggos and parks for kids. Swimming pool and sandpit obviously closed due to covid. Also, if the ticket machines say "not in use" it's lying. They are in use! So find one that works and don't assume it's down to Covid, like we did, and get slapped with a ticket.

First time visit here, it's a lovely venue, to stroll around the grounds and galleries.
