The rating doesn't reflect on him, he was knowledgeable and interesting. The rating is based on the tour itself. We booked on to the last time slot which ended being the best time of day when the activity on the lagoon had died down and we had the icebergs to ourselves! Better than that it was only us 2 on the tour and was therefore was made to feel like it was a personal tour with our guide, paddling around the icebergs and seal spotting too. Even paddling in a sudden downpour did not detract from the experience when buttoned up in dry suits. A MASSIVE shout out to our guide, who so annoyingly I cannot remember his name (but the young Finnish chap!) who was absolutely awesome, and we got on with really well. So well we were nearly half an hour late back in the end!! He was very kind, knowledgeable about everything to do with the lagoon, (wildlife included) and interesting to talk too for the duration. We had the 6:10 tour and the sun was just going down enough to create some great lighting. We had 10 guests on the zodiac including our 5 which was comfortable but wouldn't want more. We saw several seals relaxing on small icebergs and heard lots of noise as ice fell into the lagoon as we sat by the glacier with the engine off. She had the kids fish ice chunks out of the lagoon to sample which they loved, and being close to the glacier afforded some great photo apps. I went for this tour in March 2023 and the ice cave is definitely one of the main highlights of my trip to beautiful Iceland. The sheer beauty of the caves is something that can't really be captured by photographs. Boggi is an awesome and funny guide and kept our small group entertained throughout the journey in his awesome Nissan Patrol 4x4. He also provided some tips on Iceland and recommended a very useful app. We were very well taken care of and all the necessary equipment was provided including goggles which helped a lot in avoiding dust from flying into our eyes. Do try to arrive at the meeting point as early as possible so that you can begin your tour earlier and avoid the big tour groups for more photo opportunities.

It was 3 of us in the group and he took us to the cave when there were not many other groups so we had the cave to ourselves.
