Such a cute library! Came here for the first time, mainly for the kids area, and was so surprised to see how nicely set up different tables were - there was a table with puzzles, one with a building challenge, and one with some play foods (dimsum, vegetables, chopsticks, etc). There was also a Lego table, a super cool "marble run" wall, a chess table, and an aquarium with big and colourful fish. There were just so many different things that grabbed my toddler's attention and he enjoyed exploring all the different activities in the kids area of the library. There was a storytime going on which looked great, but my little man was more interested in everything else. A great place to go on a rainy day or any day you feel like spending indoors. So impressed with this library!

This is one amazing library. They have everything! Besides library books, you can check out artwork for your home or electronics you might need or even books for a book club! My wife and I attended a recent drag BINGO event at the library. The game, was run by Jadein Black, a local drag artist.
We support the Public Library as a community asset, even if we enjoy buying and owning the books we read.
It was great to see the parents and children at the library to play BINGO, moderated by this great educator/drag performer.
It was an over-the-top and most amusing drag queen performance that was family-friendly, as well.
In addition to running the BINGO game, he was engaging the youngsters and adults with stories of his life as a drag performer and a teacher.
We enjoyed the event a performance.

Overhyped school. Sometimes teaching is good, other times it's not. Overwhelming size of the school also makes it really difficult to get to know others and you will likely never get to know any of your professors. Although there are a lot of nice people here too, there are also a good number of people who are rude who will try to act as though they are better than you. Fans can be annoying at times as well. I was expecting to have to pay to enjoy the museum, but to my surprise, entry is free even for people with no affiliation to UMich, though there are options to purchase a museum membership. I think you get benefits like a few treats at the museum cafe as well as the joy of knowing you're helping to keep art publicly accessible if you choose to participate. This is the most beautiful garden I’ve ever been to! And it’s free. For the peony garden, peak season is mid to late May, but follow their social for updates. You can park in M34 Parking lot or various street parking near the garden. If you are walking/running you can enter the trail head by the Burnham House or on Geddes at Nichols Dr. There are trails throughout with various terrain as you enter deeper in the park and access to the Huron River. There is Shakespeare in the park, a walking theater show in the summer. There is so much wildlife to experience and decompress in the middle of downtown Ann Arbor, highly recommend!

This was my first time dining at Evergreen Downtown and I was very pleased with our choice.
I have eaten at expensive Chinese restaurants in Richmond and Vancouver, Canada, but this place does well at a very reasonable cost. Good food is not cheap, and people usually expect Americanized portions and food with excess protein or filling, but here you get appropriate portions and correctly prepared food, not sacrificing quality for quantity’s sake.
The atmosphere was beautiful at the early afternoon hour and the wait staff eased our unfamiliarity to the restaurant with welcoming smiles and pleasant attitude (mind you we were not the most polite as we entered being overheated and managing a hungry child, but they were nice regardless and we calmed in the peaceful atmosphere). In the area at night I imagine it would be a beautiful place to for a date or relaxing dinner with friends.
Portions were more than acceptable at a traditional Chinese establishment, and I attach a picture of our lamb to show how much was left after serving three. The flavors were fantastic, through our own fault we did not ask them to make it spicy (Due to looking like a normal American man I find that many restaurants will not make things spicy enough for my tastes, and I will ask next time for some more Sichuan peppercorn).
Finally the service was appropriate and timely, and refills were provided as needed.
Dumplings were very wonderful textbook flavor. Could not have been better, and the meat and tofu were fresh and perfect for our tastes.
Price was fine, and tip was not required though it was deserved.
Thank you for a wonderful experience, and as I will be traveling to Ann Arbor with frequency this fall I am sure to return, as time and presence allow.

What an awesome find! We've driven by a few times, but finally made the time to stop for our anniversary dinner. It is a clean, airy environment, with attentive waitstaff and incredibly fresh food. Once seated, we had time to browse through their electronic menu. It was nice to be able to tap menu dishes to find out what ingredients they used. I was able to order a vegetable dish without sauce (it's sad, I know, but it works for my dietary recreations). The wanton soup was amazing. My husband enjoyed a fried rice dish. The park itself could almost be an all day event. It's got space with picnic tables and a grill, especially at the pavilion just off the side of the playground. There is an abundance of slides, climbing, and all manner of child natural entertainment. There is even a slate to help learn the alphabet in ASL on one side and braille on the other. We went initially for the playground for our 10 year old son. The playground we went to is primarily for under age 8, seeing as the merry go round is incredibly slow, short slides, smaller play areas, and no swings, which is what my son was wanting the most. It's still really nicely constructed, just keep in mind this is primarily for under age 8. The scenery and plant life was beautiful. Then we relocated to another area on the Huron River, where they have rentals (will post prices in the pictures) and paddle boats are only 15 an hour which I thought was an incredible price, but we didn't go seeing as we didn't have enough time. We ended up walking one of the trails and it was gorgeous and my family had an amazing time. Highly recommend this park, one of my favs of all time.

Park needs a serious power washing, also the bathrooms are absolutely atrocious. Stinky. Dirty. Covered in bugs. Holes in the ground with toilet seats on them. Prisoners get better bathrooms. Miss Kim is awesome! I haven’t had a ton of Korean food in my life so this was a fantastic spot to try some classic dishes with a Midwest spin on it.
Favorites by far are the soy butter rice (I could eat ten bowls of this), Korean Fried chicken (both flavors are great but spicy option slightly better), Crispy Broccolini, Kimchi Pork Fried Rice, and Smashed Potatoes.
We also got the short rib, tteokbokki in the street style and cacio e Pepe style, short rib, and cauliflower. All were really good, only miss for me was the cauliflower but I’m just not much of a fan of cauliflower in general.
Family style is the way to go here, we went with four people and still had a few leftovers with everything we ordered. Definitely a gem of Ann Arbor, if I am ever back in town I’ll definitely be visiting!

Overall an ok experience. We made reservations and was seated on time inside. The inside is super noisy. I could hardly hear the wait staff. The tables are pretty close and the acoustic in the place is horrible. When it was time to order, they ran out of all proteins on the menu. No fish, no scallops etc. so we went all vegetarian. Honestly, my favorite item was the cacio e pepe tteokbokki. It was a little crispy with a savory hint. The pickled onion and green onion really helped balance it.
A got the duck bimbimbop. The duck was great as it was medium rare and crispy. However, it was cut a little large for bite size with the rice. I would suggest asking them to cut it thinner. That Ann Arbor Farmers Market is one of the best in Michigan, in my opinion. There is a huge selection of vendors with many different products ranging from produce, flowers, lotions and soaps, jewelry, and much more! I've bought a ton of things from there and have always been satisfied with the price and quality. Another bonus is that it's open year around and there are always vendors - even during winter. Preety good deli except for the big overbusiness of such a small place. I couldnt even get in because of the crowds around the door, and dont even get me started on the 20 minute line just to order. Then there is yet another 20 minute wait before you accually get your food. Its all self serve, you have to order at a desk, and pick up your food yourself- the lady forgot my sandwich in a corner for 15 minutes... The seating is all outside, and is very limited. You have to eat at tables right next to a parking, and all the tables are occupied so you have to sit with random people... Although the food options are very limited - only like, 5 types of sandwiches, and nothing other than sandwiches and salads. The food is preety decent though, so thats why I bumped up my review to a 4 stars. Also because I have had great experiences with other zingermans locations ( roadhouse, farm, creamery, cooking classes, bakery, etc). Overall, if you love sandwiches with outdoor seating, and a cozy summer vibe, this place is for you.

I finally tried this local institution and it wasn't worth the expense or hassle.
I came an hour before closing and the place was deserted, which is preferable. Normally the line circles the block. The deli staff were quick to acknowledge me and the cheesemonger was quick and generous with a sample and offered more, but one was enough for me. I was directed to a kiosk and ordered a pastrami reuben, a side of garlic potato salad, a side of BonTon chicken pasta salad, one of each type of pickle and a piece of cake. The order totaled $46.
The reuben was stone cold in the middle, the cheese wasn't melted. The garlic potato salad was under salted and tasteless. Adding salt helped but it needed to be added to the potatoes during cooking to properly season the dish. The BonTon chicken pasta salad had very little chicken but was well seasoned was the best part of the meal. The buttermilk cake was inedible. The cake was dry, flavorless, dry and crumbly. The berry flavored buttercream tasted artificial, and the buttercream around the rest of the cake was very thick in excess of one inch at the top. The final insult, was I paid for two pickles and received neither.
A sandwich is more than the sum of it's parts; the assembly nearly as important and in this case, for nearly $24 it should have been perfect. It wasn't even close.
For nearly $50 everything should have been on point and it just failed to meet the mark. Go once to say you've been there but otherwise give it a miss; there's better deli out there.

We were wanting pizza and pasta and were happy to find this restaurant. We did not have a reservation but they were able to accommodate our party of 6 very quickly. Our server was great! He kept our drinks refilled and brought our food out to us as it was made. My kids ordered a kids spaghetti and did like it, but complained towards the end it was spicy. We ordered three pizzas: the pepperoni, the supreme, and the ham and mushroom. All were very good! I also ordered the vodka rigatoni pasta. It was good, but not as much as I was expecting. We tried to stop in Friday night for dinner but it was a long wait so we tried our luck again on Saturday, and there was no wait and we were seated right by the kitchen! The experience of watching them cook and interacting with the chefs was amazing. This is worth stopping for. You’ll be glad you did!
Our friends told us about this place and mentioned it being a good stop on our roadtrip and they were right! Sooo much flavor in every bite.
Between us and our friends we ordered a chicken rice bowl, loaded plantains, a couple of different fritas (burgers) which come with fries on top but you can ask for them on the side, and several batidos (milkshakes): coconut, chocolate español, and a vanilla batido. All were delicious! I particularly liked the tropical slaw as an add on to the frita and the chile mayo. Everything has a kick to it so if spice isn’t your thing maybe ask for some alternatives. If you love spice this is your spot!
I also like that the batidos weren’t too sweet and everything was fresh. There was plenty of space to sit, it was very clean and even though they were very busy for a Saturday at 3pm service was prompt and efficient even as we sat outside. Also street parking was easy to find and you do have to pay for parking on an app.
For 4 people sharing a few food items and 3 batidos we spent around $50 (not including all items mentioned as some were items ordered by our friends) which was definitely worth it. 🫶 We don’t eat a lot and felt it was worth sharing food but sizes are not massive.
Whenever we drive through this area we’re DEFINITELY eating here again.

We’re a youth hockey team from out of town and ordered a bunch of pizzas for a team dinner at our hotel. The experience? Frustrating.
The menu was incredibly confusing—same items listed with three different prices depending on where you looked. On top of that, they tack on a 4.95% “service fee” that doesn’t show up in your cart. I cannot stress enough how this place is absolute garbage. The food sucks, specifically the pizza, which is in their damn name. It is wildly expensive, too. Bad pizza that is cheap would be MAYBE okay.

I am a thicc dude. I eat a lot of pizza. I can eat a whole Digiorno myself. I can eat a whole pizza from Little Caesars myself. I ate two slices from Pizza House after barely eating all day. It was trash. I did not want any more.
Also the tablet menus suck and the service charge sucks. Make your prices higher, get rid of the service charge, people will feel better about that. Tablet menus are dumb and clunky.
F-. There's a reason I didn't come here much 20ish years ago when I was in college in Ann Arbor, and my experience there last weekend reminded me of why.
I cannot understand how this place is 1) in business and 2) popular.

This is a great sports bar which has all the major games on the TVs so if you want to watch a game with friends, I highly recommend this place. Their food is also great and they have outdoor seating on the weekends which makes this place a lot of fun. I also tried their chocolate cake and we all loved it. Went here to grab a bite before heading to the Michigan game. I was shocked that we got to sit down right away. The food and drinks came in quick after ordering. I got the shepherd pie which was delicious and my wife got the Reuben . Definitely recommend either of those options, the cocktails were kinda expensive, but it is ann arbor. Our server, wish I got her name so I could shout her out , but she was amazing.
Whenever we come back to the area, will definitely come back.

We visited this restaurant for Mother’s Day 2025 and had a lovely time overall. The evening started strong with a fantastic appetizer—beautifully prepared and full of flavor. The drinks were also a hit: creative, well-balanced, and genuinely enjoyable.

We came here for our wedding anniversary dinner. Made a reservation through their website. There were confusion on seating at the hostess stand on previous guests and we were standing there waiting for a few moments, but the hostess did apologize and we were seated near a window. Would have loved it but those tables were too close to the ones behind us to the point I could hear their conversation. Overall, I’d come back but would probably only order the coconut shrimp (as it arrived at other tables it looked amazing) and the tortellini. We went to a nearby restaurant for dessert.

My husband and I went on a date night for my birthday. I started off with a mocktail and he with a cocktail which were both good. For an appetizer we had the crab dip which was delicious. For the main dish my husband had the fish tacos which he thoroughly enjoyed. I had the scallops, which unfortunately were not great-the scallops themselves didn’t have much flavor and the orzo was lumped together and under cooked. For dessert (free for my birthday) we had the crispy coconut mochi tart, which I would eat many times over again.

Lively and friendly place for fusion Mexican, or new and unique interpretations threof, food!
All dishes were surprising as each of them were not one may expect from typical run-of-the-mill Mexican restaurants! The most surprising dish, for me, was the al pastor -- it was a slab of, I guess, pork and other ingredients, making it look like a piece of SPAM but with al Pastor flavor.
This place is like a "tapas" restaurant, i.e., Mexican tapas, easily sharable with table mates, enabling tasting of many different dishes. That's basically what we did even with half (3) of us were vegetarians.
The food was quite tasty in most cases -- Nachos, ribs, carnitas, various vegetarian dishes.
The Al Pastor, a pork dish, needed lime drops to cover the underlying pork smell. Perhaps they need to add some more spices when they are creating the "slab." It could also be caused by what I suspect would be a two-step process - cook the pork, grind/mix/form the slab, and then reheat to serve. Double cooking of pork (and chicken) typically leads to such smell.
The fish taco was also not so good as it was "fishy," indicating the fish may not have been as fresh as it should or could have been.
I gave 5 stars even though two items had critical mistakes as the rest were very good and as all were very creative take on Mexican food! Hopefully, the two above-mentioned missteps will be fixed by the time I return.

Update- went back to check our their Tuesday Happy Hour. The service you receive makes all the difference. Our server was very dismissive, and we did not enjoy the experience anywhere near as much. Im conflicted writing this review, love the museum. Frustrated with the planetarium side of it. Watched the video in the planetarium, sea of monsters; video seems a little dated like a old 80's video. At the beginning we were told once you leave you cant return. Didn't realize it was the wrong film, kept waiting for the Trex to come into play never happened.
Atmosphere was nice, but we were suppose to watch the TRex video and we're shown the wrong video, addressed this where they sold tickets. They called the manager, which is basically a college kid; told they were sorry but nothing they could do. No offer of refund or tickets for future showing. We did drive over a hour to get here. Museum is 5 stars, amazing and free. Planetarium is 1 star due to wrong show, horrible customer service, grainy quality, although entertaining.

This theater is a true gem! I recently took my toddler to see Blippi live, and it was an amazing experience. The theater itself is beautiful and well-maintained, with plenty of comfortable seating. I ordered the brown butter cookie dough, not only because it looked good but I was told that it’s one of their more popular flavors. I did enjoy it, definitely rich in flavor. Could use more cookie dough chunks and less chocolate chips in terms of ratios however, I understand that’s probably the appeal to most consumers or younger crowd. A great little museum with free admission, but accepts donations. Well worth scheduling a few hours to wander and closely examine/appreciate the workmanship of the artifacts there.
Lots of pieces from Egypt, and lots of pottery and glasswork, but certainly a fun variety of other pieces in general. Anyone with experience in, or a vague idea about the processes of flintknapping, glassblowing, the firing of earthenwares, carving and turning, some gemsetting and metalwork, and just a general interest in the production of material culture will certainly find multiple things to happily examine and appreciate.

We had such a lovely time at this museum—10/10 recommend for anyone interested in ancient or Egyptian history! I love exploring art and history museums, and this hidden gem houses so many fascinating pieces I’d never seen before. Some of my favorite artifacts were “hidden” in the drawers, so be sure to open those beneath the display cases — there’s so much to discover! The collections of children’s toys and shoes were especially touching, and the cat mummy was a personal favorite. We’ll definitely be back for the new exhibit in spring 2026. I was disappointed to see so many of the artifacts displayed in cases lined with (old?) oatmeal color fabric that did nothing to create a positive or distinguishing impression of the individual pieces on display. So many displays were just “blah”. Also, the acoustics are problematic, amplifying the voices of two women throughout the entire first floor - an unwelcome distraction.
Maybe some Art & Design students could take it on as a project to update the display cases and consider ways to reduce sound transmission.

Ive been here a few times now, and I love this place! Their cupcakes are really good and they have a really great selection. They even have pupcakes, which my dog loves. They have ice cream and doughnuts, but I haven't tried either, though everything looks good.
I love that they have mini cupcakes in addition to standard size. It's nice for when you just want a bite of something sweet or you'd like to try a couple different flavors.

Was in the area on vacation visiting family, and I was pleasantly surprised by how far above and beyond this location was compared to everything in the area.
From the people at the front counter, remembering me from the first time I came in down to the drinks being top-notch and feeling like it was made from scratch by your grandmother.
Also, usually when you go to a place like this, the bathrooms are less than desirable. You can tell that from the top down to the bottom, everybody is invested in keeping the place clean and in tiptop shape.
I now look forward to coming back to the area every time and this is always gonna be my first stop no matter what time of day.

So I’ve been to the Detroit street Filling Station probably half a dozen times over the past 4 years , but waited to do a review until now. This place is a wonderfully cheery and uplifting place to dine. No meats on the menu, but that’s not a hindrance. The food is tasty and wonderful! Within walking distance to the Ark, an added bonus if you’re going there for a concert! They also serve beer and cocktails, so no issues there. Highly recommended!

We had a positive experience here. The place is small, and the reception area is just a tiny table—I almost thought we entered the wrong door! They have a nice patio, and the food is flavorful. I went here for my second time recently (despite living in the A2/Ypsi area for quite a while) and absolutely loved it.
The staff is super kind- I don't know the name of the person that helped my friend and I when we were there, but they initialed my punch card with KK and were truly really helpful and sweet!
It can definitely get very packed here- we went on a Thursday night and there weren't any seats left, but the place as a whole has such a cozy and welcoming atmosphere. There are board games in the back which is super sweet, just wish there was a bit more space since it's such a cool spot.
They have such a huge variety of teas and sweet treats. I definitely need to come back and try more flavors. I got the passionfruit tea iced which was AMAZING.
I'm super appreciative that they have a lot of decaf options as well in addition to good prices! I think we got a 30 or 32 ounce to share and it was about $7.50 if I remember correctly.
There's also a free punch card that I think after every 10(?) drinks, you get a free one.
I'll certainly be back and I highly recommend. Makes me want to move downtown so I can come here more often!

This comic book store in Ann Arbor has been on my pull list for ages (blame adulting!), but I finally got to drop by yesterday. Let me tell you, it was like walking into a superhero's origin story - clean, colorful, and bursting with potential. Plus, the staff were awesome, even while wrangling a confused shoplifter. (Hey, nobody said saving the day from evil was easy!)
Now, the shoplifter situation was a little...eccentric. This person wasn't exactly Lex Luthor mastermind material, more like a lost minion. But the staff handled it with more grace than I could muster. So yeah, major props to them!

What a wonderful surprise!! We were in Ann Arbor and had no plans outside of sporting events. We took a walk around the block and noticed a staircase leading to fun! We were a group from ages 8-48, and there was something for each of us. The older folks of the group were in heaven with all the old school games and themes. We ran around with such excitement seeing games from our childhood. The younger folks enjoyed the ticketed games and prizes. The woman running the place was incredibly welcoming! We couldn't have spent enough time in there the first day, so we came back again. All the workers were friendly and quick to troubleshoot any issues we had, which was only 1 instance of jammed tickets. The place was clean and just screams fun. There were so many games to choose, something for everyone! The prizes were what you'd expect from an arcade, but the special pinball and original tokens were better than other places' prizes. If we are ever in Ann Arbor again, I know the first place we are going!

I went to the Laundry Day concert this past weekend. Based off of the previous reviews I’d been reading, my expectations for this place were very low. The venue was super awesome, definitely depends on the talent you’re planning on seeing, everyone apart of Laundry Day’s team and even the openers, WHATMORE, were super friendly and more than accommodating. The show was spectacular, they were on time and the crowd was electric. As far as the prices for the drinks, expect to pay out the ass, you might get a slight buzz at best as everything was watered down to shit. On the other hand, all these reviews stating the staff was rude, I couldn’t disagree more, the staff at the bar was extremely nice and very polite, maybe I just got lucky.
Overall, if you plan to go to a concert/ venue here, make sure to pre-game like crazy if you care about getting a little crunk before a fun show, you’ll pay dearly. Otherwise, I think it’s small, but that makes it personal in my opinion. We were able to stay after and got to hangout with the openers and the main band, got autographs and pictures, it was a super inviting environment.

If you have a disability that needs mobility aids, this is not a good venue. There is not a designated area for people with disabilities. I called ahead and the manager said a staff member would assist in finding a spot, though I arrived an hour early by the time the line allowed me through the worker seemed irritated and confused at my request for help finding seating and placed me along with a few others in the far back where we had zero visibility of the stage. Someone else with a walker ended up asking for the crowd to let them through to be closer, but they had zero help from the staff. Ive been to venues that have a designated spot, this was highly disappointing to experience. I wouldn't come back for a crowded show at this venue as someone who uses a seated mobility aid.

Hands down, the absolute BEST Party Store in A2. My Partner, and I frequently stop here, we happily drive out of our way to come here. The selection is extensive, and impressive. I collect Bourbon and Whiskey and have a rather impressive collection myself, and I know if there's ever one I really want I can go here and they'll have it.
The night shit, Edgar, Katie, and Jordan, are truly what keeps us coming back though. They are knowledgeable, friendly, and accepting of all people. They will treat you like you've known each other since grade school.
If you are kind to them, they will always go above and beyond to help. If there is an issue with some of the less fortunate outside of the store, just let one of them know and they will respectfully handle the situation.

I went in with a couple friends after dinner to grab something sweet and was pretty happy with what we got. The desserts looked really nice in the display case and everything seemed fresh. I tried the cheesecake and it was creamy and not overly sweet, just how I like it. My friend had the chocolate mousse and said it was really good too. If you like small chocolate confections then this can be your new go to place for those chocolate cravings. Plenty of parking, although you must pay up to the designated times unless you know someone I don’t. Located in Nickels Arcade, there is a small shop called Bon Bon Bon and they have a wonderful selection of small chocolates amongst different flavors and aesthetics. They arrange them visibly so you can see each individual chocolate with their name and with a description containing its contents. They have their usual popular flavors and they do switch out and or add more options every so often and holidays to switch up the taste. The workers here are kind and can assist with any questions about the store. After choosing your chocolates they are all grouped and personally packaged, cutesy packaging I might add. After deciding which chocolates you’d like to devour, they do have merchandise they sell as well that range from hats, sweatshirts, accessories and more. I saw this shop randomly on my lunch break and I am glad that I did because after carefully choosing which 6 chocolates I wanted I came back a day or two later to buy more and to get extras to take home. Mind you, I live in a different state so I was a bit worried, but they traveled really well with me. If you like chocolate, do it. Do it.

I was around town for work and one of the coworker recommended this place. All of us immediately fell in love with the store, and of course the chocolate it has to offer.
First of all, the appearance is amazing! Each one is like a piece of art. Absolutely pretty! Also the top of the chocolate represents the flavor and the story behind it. Can tell they put a lot of thinking toward it. When you take a bite, the cross-section is equally pretty.
Secondly, the packaging is very innovative - using cardboard material that easily adaptive to different sizes. So creative and it works perfectly.
Last but not least, the taste. I tried a lot of these creative artisan chocolate places, most of them taste ok but not amazing. This place’s chocolate, however, gave me tons of surprises. The taste just works. Not too sweet, with a kicker or two. Again, amazing!
Highly recommended. Worth coming here just for this store.
