The Visitors Center was extremely informative and the Lady there very very knowledgeable of the history of the park & was as nice as you could have ever asked for! The grounds were kept very nice and clean and neat. The only negative point and the whole park was the dock which could’ve been easily fixed and was underwater at one point. It wouldn’t have taken much to either temporarily raise it or have built and elevation Doc over it till they could’ve gotten a permanent fix the part that was under water, which shouldn’t have been as low as it was to begin with when the rest of the dock was raised 5 feet higher than the walkway. It would’ve made for a perfect place to sit and enjoy the view or fishing or photography of the wildlife in the area.

The large grassy fields are frequently maintained and freshly manicured. There is LOTS of space for any and everything—from intimate family picnics or play dates to large events with numerous people. Nevertheless, everyone is nice and friendly. There are plenty of giant trees that bring shade. There are about 2 covered pavilions with multiple picnic style tables underneath each. Although, it would be nice to have benches in the shade for when it gets super hot in the summer months. It would be nice if they added a splash pad next to the playground equipment. That would be icing on the cake for this park. Nevertheless, it has been pretty scenic and very therapeutic for me to visit this park. I removed one star from my review because of the restrooms. I understand that this is an outdoor park and the restrooms have been modeled accordingly. However, I believe that they should remodel them—including more stalls during construction. Also, it would be nice if they kept the restrooms stocked with basic essentials such as toilet paper and hand soap. I wish they would somehow make it as close to an indoor restroom facility as possible.

It may be the best one in area. Most times it’s a hassle getting to the VIP seats on the ground as there are not many attendants to assist you with your seat location. The seats are barely marked so you have to rely on other people who can potentially be sitting in your seat to tell you the seat number. Most times the floor attendants are very confused if you can find one and don’t carry a flashlight and will oftentimes just point in the general area of your seat. The security barely checks tickets in the front row area, so anyone can just walk up and sit in your seat if you happen to get up to get closer to the stage. I’ve only seen parking lot attendants once, so it can be a nightmare getting out. The drinks are a waste of money as you don’t taste a lick of alcohol in the daiquiris. The sound was only good for 2 out of the 4 shows I’ve been to. For the Isley Brothers concert, they forgot to turn on Ronald Isley’s mic when he first came out. There is definitely room for improvements. One thing I do love is that the shows are cheaper here in comparison to Houston or Dallas.
