Ideally, you get a spot in the day when the tour groups are not around, but you don't have to queue to get tickets or go in, and you can wander around the courtyard and admire the beautiful carving and archways. We ordered the avocado citrus salad, which was well dressed and had a lot of avocado. This park is absolutely gorgeous from the moment you step into its lush, verdant carpet of natural beauty. The palm tree lined path alone affords stunning photo opportunities, and the fountain is another highlight. The lake, the central feature of the park was sadly barren when I went but a quick search online shows it to be a wondrous feature of the park that the whole family can enjoy on a beautiful sunny day. Refreshment areas are available so if you happen to be in Fes, definitely add this park to your travels - you won't regret it one bit.

Ein wirklich schöner Ort der Ruhe und Erholung, nur wenige Schritte entfernt von der lebhaften Medina von Fès. Zwischen den vielen Pflanzen- und Baumarten kann man wunderbar spazieren und abschalten. Leider gab es auch ein paar Tauben und Hühner in eher engen Käfigen, was mich etwas überrascht und ehrlich gesagt auch ein wenig bedauert hat.
Zudem war der See im Park leer und in den Brunnen war bei unserem Besuch leider kein Wasser. Trotzdem ein sehr angenehmer Ort, um kurz dem Trubel der Stadt zu entfliehen...definitiv einen Besuch wert!

Very important and cool museum. If you want to understand the historical craftsmanship of the Moroccan people, then this is the beat start. Great location aswell, easy to find. The place is stunning and deserves a visit.

I only got to see it from the outside since visitors are not allowed inside, but it was still amazing to stand in front of a place with so much history. It is recognized by UNESCO as the oldest existing university in the world, founded in 859 AD by Fatima al-Fihri.

Staff was eager to support in many ways including arranging transportation, personal walk through of city by map, food preparation, excellent communication for arrival and departure. Rooftop terrace is favorably located for a nearly unobstructed view of the Medina. Conveniently situated within reasonable walking distance to several key highlights of the city.
Clean interior, quiet with beautiful adornments.
Breakfast was delicious! Fruit, chocolate crepes, fried cakes, bread, jelly, cream cheese, butter, orange juice made fresh.

We had dinner at Dar Roumana on a weeknight at 8 pm, and were the last table to leave at around half-past nine. The starters and mains were both very good, even though one of our first preferences was not available. The dessert was just OK. Service was excellent, with a friendly and attentive waiter always ready to assist. The local wines, whilst rather good, were quite expensive for Morocco. We only went to the restaurant here and had an amazing experience. Within our two months in Morocco this place was definitely a highlight.
The quality of the food was amazing, the host was a gentleman that knew what he was doing, the atmosphere was pure Moroccan beauty ánd we where invited to have a drink before dinner on the roof terrace which was spectaculair.
Costs a bit more than the usual in Morocco but you (finally) get good worth for your money. It really made our first night in Fez one to remember.

Wir waren an unserem letzten Abend in Fes hier zum Essen, da wir nach über einer Woche täglichem, (wundervollem), marokkanischen Essen etwas anderes probieren wollten. Das Restaurant bietet moderne Speisen, europäisch angehaucht und mit marokkanischen Elementen verbunden.

Un super bel endroit pour découvrir des objets de la civilisation marocaine (caftans, objets de cuisine, bijoux, zelige….) et musulmane (corans, minbar). Had the most incredible stay here last week! The property is beautiful and immaculate. Our group enjoyed all of the community spaces and rooftops which offered spectacular views of the city. Cannot say enough about Mohammed and all of the staff - they were attentive, kind, and could not do enough for us. The location is central within the Medina and easily walkable to most places. This Riad is absolutely gorgeous! We stayed here for a couple days during our stay in fes as part of our 10 year anniversary trip. Riad Mayfez is truly pure magic. From the moment you step inside, you feel transported — the architecture, interiors, lush courtyard, serene pool, and rooftop views are breathtaking. The suites are very spacious(we stayed in the Vizir’s suite), beautifully designed, and full of character and curated pieces within. What truly sets it apart, though, is the staff: warm, attentive, and genuinely caring, they made us feel like honored guests in a private home. We were excited to stay here for a trip around Morocco, Fes was amazing and our hotel was one of the highlights. The hotel itself is historical and beautifully designed, an experience in itself. Only catering to a few guests at a time so you really feel you have the place to yourself at times! The breakfast was amazing and we had it on our private terrace. We booked the room with the large private terrace and it was so worth it. This Riad is different because it offers a lot of space and light as it is super large, while you have rooms across the way (as in any Riad), they are quite far across a big luxurious courtyard. We had dinner one of the nights we stayed and the food was delicious, great wines and bar selection as well! Reda and the staff are extremely kind and thoughtful and make you feel at home in this beautiful, quiet Riad in the middle of it all! We hope to return someday!

At first sight this Riad is very very grand that it definitely impresses. But as one settles in all the grandeur gets in your face. The place is far too crowded with too much stuff all over the place. There is a mismatch in the decor.
The rooms are comfortable but again too much of stuff all over the place that it's not practical. No place to keep our boxes etc.
The bathroom in the room we stayed in(opp the pool) definitely needs a facelift. Everything is loose and shaky.
The view from the room overlooking the pool is gorgeous though specially in the morning light. The dining area also has a lovely view of the city and the sunrise. This is the prettiest part of the Riad.
The staff seemed to be overworked but we're very very good.

Had a weird experience here but it's hopefully just a once off, we had booked one of the nice rooms downstairs but when we arrived we were told the previous occupant had typhoid and they hadn't had a chance to disinfect the room properly. We were then offered a worse room with a 10 euro discount. The room was small and smelt of sewage so wasn't the best experience. Staff were nice and offered a free massage as compensation however we would've preferred if they had told us that morning so that we could book a different riad instead of waiting until we arrived at 1630. Breakfast was average and rooftop is clearly neglected. I'd stay somewhere more central next time.

Everything was amazing — the room was beautiful and clean, the food was delicious, and the spa was just incredible. The staff were very friendly and always made sure we had everything we needed.
We also booked a trip through the riad, and it was excellent. The car they provided was very comfortable, and the driver was professional and kind.

On first glance an immensely beautiful Riad, we've stayed her for three nights and got upgraded to a huge room in the 2nd floor right away, which was brilliant. Staff was also quite friendly and helpful.
Unfortunately, the small things we didn't enjoy started to pile up.
Everything is rater run down and frayed, the room door barely locked. Also, Riad-typical and expected, the courtyard is quite loud, but members of the staff didn't show any consideration and were sometimes noisy until midnight.
Breakfast usually was the low point of our day, it's basically tasteless bread in all shapes and sizes. After the first day, we started to go out for second breakfast right after 😅. Such a beautiful Riad would profit immensely from some more care and - can't stress that enough - a good breakfast.

We stayed two days in Riad Sara on the ground floor. The riad is beautiful, with very spacious rooms. The courtyard was amazing — very beautiful and spacious, a perfect place to relax. On arrival, this is a beautiful hotel which doesn’t fail to impress. The staff are attentive and even offered me tea and biscuits as I was early and had had a long journey. The positive for me were the location, the staff and the delicious breakfast which was fresh. Negative aspects were probably just my room , which although well furnished with extras like a dressing, gown slippers, fridge, and tea making facilities, overall it was a bit tired and in need of a refurbishment. Particularly the bathroom and the rugs which were a bit threadbare. Which both the look of everything else. We spent four nights at Riad Braya and had such a restful and wonderful stay. The staff was amazing, they were always there to help us with anything we needed, from restaurant recommendations to making us a cup of tea. They were so attentive to us, it felt like we were the only guests. The breakfast was incredible, would not recommend skipping it! The location is great, easy to walk to most locations within the old city and super quick walk to the gates of the city to take a taxi. Prós: Fomos recebidos pelo Mohammed numa rua perto do Riad, onde ele falou com o taxista e foi-nos buscar a pé ao local onde o taxista nos deixou. Sem dúvida, foi um excelente anfitrião. Riad Braya was the highlight of our stay in Fes, so much that we decided to devote our last day to just staying in, doing nothing and just relaxing in this beautiful riad. We had their best room on the top floor with the private huge balcony/lounging space. Beware it is a walk up with no elevator, but we didn’t care, for our particular abilities. The room air conditioner was superb, pumping cold air non stop, and we stayed in July, one of the hottest months (and they have solar panels on the roof!). The bath/shower water pressure was great, bathtub was huge. The breakfast was one of the highlights as per other reviews, served right on our balcony, it also can be set up on the rooftop and downstairs on the lobby floor. Rooftop in early mornings and late evenings was very nice and chilled space to hang out at. Riad was very quiet and not busy, barely saw other guests, which was to our advantage to be honest, we felt like we had a private experience. They even set up an extra bed for my son, even though he could technically sleep on a large couch in the room. The staff was very nice and hospitable, starting with a mint tea and cookies on arrival - instead of standing by the check in counter waiting for the paperwork to be done, we were lounging and unwinding from the long trip in a spectacular lobby with a delicious tea - little things like that truly show the hospitable nature of this beautiful culture. The staff also arranged for and escorted me to a henna artist at another sister riad, as I wanted to experience and see Moroccan henna art but didn’t want to do henna on the street. In terms of the hotel restaurant, you’d need to let them know you are planning to dine in for dinner the day before so they get the ingredients, perhaps because of the small size of the hotel, they don’t seem to have all dishes at all times, but thanks to the ingenuity of the hotel staff, they were able to swing a couple of dishes our first night when we were too tied to get out for dinner. Nos hospedamos en Riad Braya durante dos noches para celebrar nuestro aniversario, y la experiencia fue simplemente perfecta. Desde el primer momento, el trato del personal fue excepcional, especialmente Mohamed, quien nos recibió con gran amabilidad. La limpieza también es impecable: pudimos ver cómo desinfectaban con lejía y cómo dejaban todo impecable a diario.
Además, tuvimos la oportunidad de probar el spa, y el servicio fue excelente y a un precio increíblemente accesible. En cuanto a la relación calidad-precio, este riad fue sin duda la mejor opción que encontramos en todo Marruecos.
