There is a large football field, children's play equipment area and above that a lovely circular nature walk with a few sculptures to look at.  The circular walk has alot of extra paths coming off it, so you can 'take the scenic route' if you want a little longer walk.  The main path is buggy/pram and mobility scooter accessible (but can be muddy and puddley when its been raining), the extra paths are a little narrow and overgrown in areas, but are easy to walk through. Griffiths park is very dog friendly and a good place for off leash walks or playing fetch. There are seats/benches dotted along the paths (none in shade), but no picnic tables, some bins and dog poo bins along the lower path that goes around the playing field (no bins on the upper circular walk).  The field is kept mown, it is a fairly well maintained park.  There is also two parking lots which are always easy to get a parking spot. There are a few areas that have been vandalised/grafettied and a little bit of glass around but don't let this/these areas put you off as this park is really a very nice place to visit. Different times of the day and week brings different people to the park.  For example, during the week on mornings you will find alot of dog walkers, afternoons school kids like to hang out (all have been very well behaved that we have seen). It has been nice to see people from the community getting together to tidy and litter pick the park. Also to be able to attend the community fun days and foot ball events that have been on. If you will be using the upper path, make sure to wear your wellies if it's been raining! Also, there can be a huge puddle to cross at the carpark closest to the Coop (would be good if that drain was sorted out). This is such a lovely park!

Once inside there’s a fabulous array of plants & gifts, walk through them venture out to more plants, shrubs, trees and pots. Also a great cafe, we had lunch which was tasty & reasonably priced and staff were friendly & helpful. There’s also a lovely independent boutique, selling ladies clothes, handbags, jewellery, scarfs etc. Owner very friendly and I would say there’s clothes to suit most shapes, sizes & styles and some unusual pieces which I like This garden centre is well worth a visit.
