I have ALWAYS wanted to hike up in these trails, constantly driving on the Red Bridge looking in awe at the trails & people enjoying, but in all of my years never have until now. We went for the waterfall, so we followed trail markers leading to it. We did ignore the signs of warning & knew the risks. We took the “easiest/safest” route & made it safely to/from. We were not disappointed & I am sure would be greater in size around spring, early summer. Definitely a lovely hike & easily managed by myself, my husband who is seeing impaired & our girls 10 & 12. We took one way to the falls & a different way back. All views lovely & we enjoyed the diversity of the vegetation we walked through. So glad we took the time. From parking lot to falls & back, 1 hour. Well maintained & super tidy. Graffiti is disappointing to see but what can one do. But people shouldn't bring untrained dogs to the park or realize their there to socialize and learn the difference between an aggressive dog and one that's just showing the younger dog some proper behavior and yes some dogs your PitBulls and Sheppards as well as rotties can have that bully bread temperament. It's rare that most breads can't over come these tendencies with proper consistent training. All breads will have hyper aggressive and hyper docile dogs making a bell curve inbetween. Its just noticed a whole lot more when its an aggressive dopermen, and if that's the case and they have a record of biting dogs and possibly humans then there's the otherside where maybe the park isn't the right place. But the fact is golden retrievers have the most bites, but a pitbulls bite is gunna cause more damage. People just need to educate themselves on dogs body language and whether the park is best suited for owners who know their dogs best ( implying of course that they should, not always the case unfortunately.) On that note, it would be nice to see people doing there best not to judge a dog by its colors or breed but by its behaviour and remember they are dogs don't expect perfection. If the worst should happen coolest heads always prevail. It almost always looks (and sounds) way worse then it is.
