We finally got to do the boat ride which was so amazing The boat gets beached at a beach historical habitat. I think maybe the seals was the main attraction of the whole place. Unfortunately they was on vacation the day I went.  In my opinion the admissions was not worth it. The reptiles had the worst habitat . It's was dark. Poor lighting and no sun. Everything was artificial made even the so called wood. The birds had no room to fly. The owl poor thing can't fly like she wants. The monkeys also in the dark. The sting rays and turtles and shark tank was cool.  Reminds me how the Brooklyn zoo was manage about 30 years ago. Poorly. I came with a 5,6,10, and 12 year old and they all had an amazing time. The entree fee and everything that they offer in their shop is VERY reasonably priced. They have roasted corn, lemonade, farm fresh produce, snacks, drinks, ice cream and for the adults, beer. The entry fee for a Friday morning was $15 pp. We were super lucky coming early because all the kids had free range to do anything they wanted. Staff was attentive, kind, professional, and very welcoming. I was able to talk to the owner and when he spoke about the pace, you can hear the love and passion. Being a parent with anxiety at times, this place made me feel safe. There is only one point exit and entry. When I asked the kids if they want to go back, they said yes. Even the older ones. We came here for the Tulips Festival the were plenty of activities ..from the bouncing pad [ which allot of kids seemed to enjoy], mini golf, basketball, sand slide, bike to ride around a dirt track and much more. The Tulips were a beautiful assortment of colors and you get to make your own arrangement of tulips if you choose to do so. We would definitely come back here again.

Initially a path is cleared , but 100 feet in you've got the thorn bushes from the west side. They're in the way /:overgrown & keep getting caught on your clothes . At at the end , (as far north as you can go) is a street.....with houses. NO VIEW OF WATER or any wildlife we could see. You must also be careful entering and exiting the park. Very narrow paved road -driveway, So if necessary, one car will have to pull over onto the grass/mud. Out of curiosity? Why didn't they do anything with the other county preserve on Edwards Ave? The only people there are hunters with automatic weapons - which doesn't allow for anybody to go in there , ( if they value their lives). That's a shame because there are deer, foxes , lots of odd birds, etc. Supppse to be only for bow-arrow hunting , but anyone that comes by between 5 and 7 AM will hear lots of loud automatic weapons.
