I hadn’t visited in quite a while and met family there for an afternoon activity. The place has been expanded and redone. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Although we are in the Florida summer, the heat was tolerable. They do have fans running in select areas.
Amazing experience seeing SOOOO many butterflies 🦋 in a natural habitat! So many colors and species. They also have an aviary and you can feed the birds. Two indoor buildings have insect and butterfly exhibits. If you’ve never been, I’d encourage to plan an afternoon stroll. A bit pricey yet it’s one of those…..once in a lifetime maybe. The little children (and big kids inside us) will enjoy!

I went here last week with my son and husband. The place was clean and well-maintained and it has a variety of areas, including a bird and insect attraction. The staff were very friendly and approachable. They were there to give information if requested, but didn’t cover around you or follow you. Most of the butterflies are inside a dome enclosure with netting on top so if you are thinking about planning a visit when it’s raining, you will get wet if you do not have proper gear. We spent about an hour and a half to two hours here which was plenty of time to see everything. I would go back again.

We had an amazing experience at Butterfly world. The area is well kept and you can tell the butterflies, birds and plants are all thriving. The staff are all friendly and knowledgeable. Very pleasantly surprised with the overall experience. The butterflies were abundant and beautiful. Gorgeous birds, and multiple zones, each with it's unique wonder. One of the best experiences was the ability to feed the lorikeet's. Make sure you eat before or after you come, because the food is all highly processed junk.

Great park to do a nature walk. There is a boardwalk that will take you back to the start of the foot trails. You can stay on the boardwalk if you don’t want to do the trails. The longer nature path, takes you out to a cool overlook that’s a good spot to sit and relax. The trails are primitive and narrow in some spots, and opens up wide in others. In the summer time there will probably be a lot of bugs, and it can be muddy. I recommend going in the winter when it’s cold. I try to visit the park once or twice a year. I’ve personally seen iguanas, raccoons, gopher tortoises, and all the typical cool small south Florida wildlife, like bugs and lizards. I’ve seen one or two birds of prey, and a coyote.

This review focuses to the walking trails for the portion of the park south of Sample Road. These trails offer a nice break from the traffic and urban sprawl of Broward County that surround the park. We like to visit on weekdays, where there is no fee to enter the park. The park is quite large and the walking trails are more than a mile in length if you take one of the longer loops. A frisbee golf course overlaps the trails and it is common to see frisbee enthusiasts throwing their spinning discs as you walk. Portions of the trails are shaded (mostly in the SW corner of the park), but most are in open sunlight. A large lake separates one of the longer trails from low rise condos along the western side of the park. It is common for breezy conditions as the wind picks up over the lake on this edge of the park. It's great on a warm day, but can get chilly at certain times of the year. A raised boardwalk that once crossed a small creek into a natural area in the SW corner of the park had been closed for many years. That natural area is no longer accessible from the trails and the boardwalk has fallen into disrepair. Other than that, the park is very well maintained. All other facilities are in working order. tradewinds Park has much more than trails. Numerous baseball and softball fields, a butterfly exhibit are on the south side and livestock and stables on the north. The north side of the park erects elaborate Christmas decorations (to drive through for a fee) during the holiday season as well.

This was our first time at this park. We really liked it. We especially took a ride on the tiny steam train that has been active since 1980. My son and I loved it. You walk around the pond. It only operates 2 days a year, I suggest you follow it and don't miss it :) The train fee is only 2 dollars. After the train ride, you can walk around, have a picnic in the picnic areas, and have a great time with your children in the park. If you want to take a ride with ponies, after a short walk, the horses and ponies will greet you at the museum. There is also a tiny shop selling souvenirs. I think it is a great alternative, especially for the weekend. If you are one of those who like fishing, you can fish in the lake. I am leaving some great photos below. Was very disappointed in not only the facilities and environment itself but the lack of maintenance this park had to offer after having to wait in a long line and pay to visit this public park. There is little to no signage so you never know where you are or where you’re going. Staff looked at us like we had three heads when we asked for a map of the park. No one offered any insight or help navigating the park. Almost no plants we labeled. Almost no plaques with wildlife information. The paths were continuous at best. The waters edge was lifeless w no native fauna. Just rocks and grass right up to merky water. No history of park. No mulch around trees, no benches along paths, no fountains, no sculptures…nothing! The one raised boardwalk/ trail was completely closed off, neglected and in disrepair. Paths looked on to parking lots and strange uninviting out-buildings. Glad to see our tax money in action. The last two public parks we visited in Broward also had their trails closed and one of them also had an entrance fee…??? Skip Broward parks and go to West Palm Beach. You’ll be amazed at how much better the parks are designed and maintained up their. Leave a like or follow me if this was helpful. Absolutely stunning nature trails back here! Hidden gem of a place to visit! Although, it is right next to apartment homes, which his very odd. I wouldn't want thousands of people driving next to my home everyday just to see these trails. But nonetheless, there's a long boardwalk that encircles a huge body of water. Then another that encircles a nice little Forrest. There's some back woods trails to follow too, but I think they lead to more area homes. You'll see birds and wildlife. We saw workers pressure washing the boardwalk, it seems like the city of Coconut Creek actually cares to keep this place looking nice for visitors! I wish Deerfield Beach’s administration would take notes.
My only complaint is that it’s not bigger! I wish this place was a huge natural preserve for wildlife, instead of being surrounded by overpriced rental only apartment complexes. It’s unfortunate money is always prioritized over preserving the beauty of this state.

Great park to bring your little ones. Lots of comfortable shade from the sun and multiple sitting areas. 2 volleyball courts, fullsize basketball court,2 tennis courts, and a racquetball court. There is a nature trail in the back with Only two bench stops. The only upset part is the trail is a one way. There is a lovely lake next to the trail but no view pass the houses. We went on a Sunday and it got busier later into the afternoon, but there were no lines to get tickets. We keep asking what the hold up is and get no honest response or written communication as to what or who is holding up getting it working. Just found out after years of being stuck upstairs that the association has a contract with the ambulance service to get people up and down after Wynmoor was informed we needed to get downstairs numerous times. Not one word was said,nor did the council or board send letters of notification or updates. When we attend meetings the responses are always "soon" or "we're working on it". It's sad that elderly people have to suffer climbing stairs when all this time paying elevator maintenance fees. Not worth buying here on second floor. Save yourself money and headaches!!!
Many Association members are not transparent or informative. Example: We were told workers needed to come in to wire our units 4 years ago, for hi-speed optic fiber. Told "no charge", later was increased and told partially due to new wiring. charged for it but no service was ever offered. Fast fwd this week, again had to have workers come in for new wiring, stripping out old, but was never sent letters saying how much the NEW Internet/Cable would cost. If it ain't broken don't fix it, right? We have over 600 channels for a cheap price already. Explain to us why we need to switch companies? If we are stuck upstairs with a non working elevator,how can we attend meetings? You can post and send letters,like before when it appeared you really cared about people and wanted a Happy Community!! Our council gets paid an enormous amount of money but the residents suffer. No excuses why lift/elevators are not working!!! I'll update on the elevator- SOON!! To those who are not putting the effort in getting the job done ---Karma will find you!!

Wynmoor is a nice community but a terribly run organization. They are very unresponsive to Unit Owners problems especially Selma Bass a Building Board President. If she is a representation of all the Building Board Presidents than Wynmoor is even more horrible than I believe it is. Rentals in Wynmoor are up dramatically because a majority of the Owners are fed up with the Wynmoor Council and the Board. Hopefully in the future there will be a changeover in the Board management of Wynmoor that will bring back the Wynmoor Community to a place when everyone in the Community is nice and helpful to each other and not dictated to by Boards members who care solely about themselves and their units. 30 years ago when my Mother moved into Wynmoor both Management and Owners worked together hand in hand to make Wynmoor a kind and welcoming place to live. Now with Bruce Bandler as Director of the Wynmoor Community we have seen a tremendous amount of Board misbehavior, increasing maintenance fees way exceeding cost of living increases and various assessments on top of the maintenance increase. I am an Owner here at Wynmoor so it does not behoove me to give Wynmoor a bad evaluation but I must state what I believe is the facts at Wynmoor. I do hope that a new Board and Management will come to Wynmoor in the near future and with those changes I will be able to post a very positive review next time.

Going back to around 1982 my grandparents bought a condo in here and every winter break during my school years I came to visit Wynmoor. My Father lives here, and a Great Uncle and Aunt as well at one time. My Father was the President of his building for 6 years which ran so well that the building was one of the best run with one of the largest reserves for a single building association. I came here many times to see my Father and when I moved down to Florida in 2009 and became a resident of Wynmoor in 2012. I was also the President of my Building in retirement community elsewhere and we also had one of the largest reserves than any other building. Wynmoor used to be a great place to live, but with increasing costs of living in Wynmoor, increases in maintenance with greatly reduced services to its residents, the constant fighting with management especially the maintenance department with their inappropriate behavior, unprofessional staff, the many games they play, their inability of fulfillment of payment when your property has been damaged by them. If your late one month in maintenance they come down on you with their entire legal team, but when you need to be paid for damages they created by injuring your property, or not doing their jobs you will wait forever and hear every excuse in the world to the point of them yelling at you over the phone. I could write a small book of all my complaints of the way this community is being managed but I dont have the time nor the space.

This is a small quaint little trail with plenty of tree canopy shade. The center of it is open with well kept grass coverage. People riding horses may come in from time to time and two roosters may follow you around, but they have been friendly the times we have seen them. There are no restrooms and no animals allowed according to the signs posted. A nice short trial with a couple benches and a gazebo in the middle north section. It is good to do a couple laps around for exercise. It is not congested with road noise luckily. Ideal to sit down and read a book at one of the quarter way benches. As for wildlife or photography you are pretty much out of luck. A few sparrows here and there and little annole lizards at most. Yesterday, my wife and I grilled out at Veterans’ park. It was a peaceful evening!
There is only one grill at this location.
The canal at the rear was active. Boaters, jet skis, and people teaching their child how to fish on the dock!
A boat ramp, dog park, and Veterans’ memorial at this location keeps it active.
We have passed this location for years. We love stopping by the local farmers market.
They offer clean public restrooms.
Plus, the Veterans’ memorial is beautiful.

Tamarac Veteran’s Park is a serene and contemplative environment where one can stroll, bike, picnic and remember all who serve and served our country. I particularly like the Memorial sculpture, banners of appreciation flying from lampposts and the flag drop box so those of us who need to retire our old flags can do so properly. On Sundays you will find a small, creative Farmer’s Market which features artisanal products, fruit and vegetables, orchids, jewelry, honey, BBQ, ceviche, and even cotton plants! Di Augusto Mercato Italiano has a beautiful booth with the most delicious first cold-pressed olive oils and balsamic vinegars. I purchased the basil oil and fig balsamic glaze. Unbelievably fresh and tasty! We enjoyed a ceviche in the picnic area along the water. Check it out if you are visiting, as locals like me love this park. You will too! Free parking, but come early so you can visit all the vendors. To our Veterans and Active Duty Military, thank you for your service!

Very well maintained baseball and softball fields at Cypress Park. We happen to know a lot about these fields. Many years ago, we came here for North Springs Little League games, season after season. A generation later, we visited recently to watch a softball tournament for girls in the U10 division. The fields were in great shape, the organizers had teams coming from all across South Florida, and facilities were more than adequate. I was pleased to see that after all these years, the rest rooms were upgraded with air conditioning, which brought an extra bit of relief from the hot summertime weather.

It's a very nice local park for families, kids, teens and adults. When my daughter was a toddler I would take her to the playground as parking was always easy and it was in a shaded area. There are other parks around that have even bigger playgrounds but this place is perfect and close by for us. There are pickleball courts here I enjoy playing with friends. My nephew and I have gone on walks around the park and he likes to watch all the soccer teams (from kids to adults) practicing.

I would like to say I love this park….but I don’t.
It’s run down, there are holes in the playground, it’s dirty and people who go there don’t care about it’s overall care.
We came here for the 1st time last week and I was underwhelmed and kinda grossed out.
You can tell no one really keeps up with the overall maintenance of this park. Only good thing I’d mention is the colors of the playground are quite pretty.
Needless to say we won’t be coming back.

Very nice park.. it has a huge playground area for kids , nice swing and the area is covered protecting you from rain and hot sun.
The bathrooms are somehow clean but they open late usually after 8am and parents when taking kids to school I see sometimes the kids need to use it and is closed, so they pee in the areas around it so when you walk around those areas it smells like pee. They might do number 2 next to the shrubs too, idk.

Great park for the little ones. There are four slides and lots to climb on and space to run. There's also a swing and a few places for the grown ups to sit. Bathrooms are a shirt walk north of the playground and the athletic fields are top notch. Parking can get tight around school dismissals and I'd assume during sporting events. Overall, it's a quaint park that's just right for your toddlers and big kids. I just wish the city would put the shade back up.

First visit back since having been remodeled and they did a great job. No more wood chips! It's now a composite squishy floor, I'm assuming made of rubber. There's lots to play on, climb, and slides. It's covered even better than before! The swings accommodate both little ones and big kids. There's always people at the park and they're typically very friendly. It was a good park before and it's even better now.
