We loved this little spot to begin with. Had our friends wake here and the woman that served us on this occasion was so lovely and attentive. There was no clear understandable reasoning behind this and because of this we feel deeply discriminated against as we have contribution a lot to this pub over the last few years and had no problems with previous owners.

Most of the staff are very efficient and nice (although sadly there is one who can be a bit of an acquired taste depending on what mood they are in). There is a little cellar venue which seems to put on a variety of different live acts (although we’ve not been to one…yet). The main thing that lets this place down is the clientele. Early seems fine albeit with a staggering amount of people playing videos and tik tocks loudly from their phone speaker (including staff sometimes) which I personally find extremely rude and off putting. Perhaps it does not bother others so much? Later in the evening seems to be a very young crowd who are clearly imbibing large amounts of cocaine or other similar substances. Rowdy and sometimes intimidating if you’re an older person or even just someone who does not partake in that sort of thing. Overall a good pub but we sometimes will go somewhere else depending on what the other customers are getting up to. Appreciate that it’s a tricky thing to control though.

We were greeted with a beautiful smile form a young lady that was very happy passionate and welcoming. She designated a very nice table with a good view by the window overlooking the best view. The Sunday Menu has a great variety on offer, from your typical Sunday roast, to their special TN1 burgers, to a range of fish and seafood options: I myself had the shellfish linguine, and it was superb. The mussels were wonderful, prawns and squid were perfect hidden inside the pasta and rich tomato sauce. From arrival, the service was warm and friendly, without being overbearing, and the atmosphere was relaxed throughout our afternoon there. And the fires we found at the George & Dragon are worth the visit on their own merit! But the food was great too. I can see the appeal of it, particularly if you want a dance, but don't want to battle it out with 18-21 year olds in clubs. Definitely better for 25+. To have a wedding in any venue is a huge responsibility and one where you must put a great deal of trust in the hosts. We did this with High Rocks and we cannot thank them enough. Throughout the many months of the wedding preparations, we had numerous encounters with the amazing staff at High Rocks and they always treated us with great kindness, knowledge, generosity and time. I had heard the Thai food was excellent here so was very keen to give it a try. When we visited on Wednesday it was fairly busy with people sitting both indoors and outside, and they had some lovely live music on. The drink selection at the bar is pretty good, which includes some bottles Thai beer, service was quick, and the price reasonable. For the meal I had Thai dumplings to start, and the chefs special noodle soup for my main. Be prepared to wait for the food, but it's well worth waiting for! The dumplings were some of the best I've had, and you get more than you would elsewhere, the dipping sauce was lovely too. I felt like I had food envy when the food arrived as I was the only one with noodle soup, however as soon as I tasted it my fears evaporated. The noodle soup was top notch, and surprisingly filling too. I got the pork option, but beef was available too. The price was good too, coming out at around £25 per person for both a starter and main. Truly a hidden gem!
