Our event was very last minute with only a few weeks to plan, and finding Club 27 was a blessing. This was the largest event I have personally ever planned, and on very short notice, but Jorge responded to emails quickly, was easy to work with and his staff pleasant and helpful in helping us pull off this event. The chandeliers and ambience of the building are beautiful, and it was just a perfect setting for what the bride and groom were wanting. Our couple wanted a unique wedding and the Club 27 Ballroom offered that; the groom liked the brick wall which made up one side of the room, while the bride liked the staircase on the other side of the room, which she decided was how she would make her entrance during the wedding. We had guests come in from out of town and they enjoyed the location in the heart of downtown Little Rock, able to book a room at the hotel right across the street from this venue. It is also set back off the street, so it adds a bit of privacy for private events; it was nice to have the option to sit outside during the reception but still be a distance from the the main road. The seating arrangement of having both tables and sofas gave our guests a variety of seating options which they enjoyed. There is ample space for guests and dancing. The lighting is customizable. There were many compliments on the appearance of this venue during the reception, my pictures don't do it justice. Our guests had a wonderful time and the bride and groom were very happy using this venue on their special day. If you are looking for a venue for an event I recommend Club 27; it is in the middle of everything in downtown, easy access off the interstate, it's beautiful, versatile, and Jorge is very easy to work with. Also, all of the golf balls flew into the green swamp water next to hole 4. My kids were scared of the bumper boats that were floating in a green water swimming pool and no one was even in that area. The wait time at the go carts was too long. This place is so obviously unkept. The video on their website is definitely NO representation of what that place is actually like. We went here for my daughter’s 8th birthday party and she was so disappointed she didn’t do anything except walk around the couple walls in the maze area for about five minutes. My kids are too small for batting cages. The maze had cigarette butts on the ground and was NOT fun and super small. Very very sad we wasted all of that money here. We were here about 30 minutes for $179.18. I will share a picture of two of our wristbands that I kept out of all of us with one mark we only visited one attraction, which was the mini golf, which we didn’t even finish after all of our balls went into the swamp water.

We looked to find the balls are all clogged underneath and not feeding into the machines. Staff was notified. Machines run, but no balls are fed out through the loading tubes. But overall it is really great place filled with so much history. There is a restaurant located in the bottom floor of the building, but it was closed the day we visited so we went to lunch nearby. I thought it was interesting, that the local Doctors helped to pay for it, in an effort to keep the population healthy. It must be working. The whole time I've visited this area, I've only seen two other people who were obese. I believe just going over the bridge was worth the money to come here. I've seen so much more though. A major remodel was going on a long with men working hard to get holiday decorations up. Lots of animals and a good walk. The highlight of my visit was the chimpanzee mother with her child on her back walking around their entire home. I got here around 12:30 and stayed till closing. You can always tell when they're close to closing all the animals start to go in to be fed. I almost forgot they have a wooden carousel that was over 100 years old that worked smoothly and all the kids loved it.

The Museum is modern, clean, spacious and the exhibits are fun, interactive and engaging. There were not too many visitors and so my kids got to enjoy every area completely with very little wait time or no wait time at all. There are 2 levels and we found that 2-3 hours is enough time to see everything but you could easily spend more time. There is a playground area and a play room with little kids space. There is a dining hall but no food available for purchase so I’d make sure to bring your own food if spending a few hours here. There were a couple of exhibits that were out of order but I find that to be average compared to other museums we visit. Overall this was a great experience and I found worth the ticket price and I would return again as would my kids who had a great time and learned a few new things as well.

That’s my only complaint and I mean only complaint other than that I went for brunch and I was able to sit in and little corner by myself and the atmosphere is peaceful and settling. Hearing the guys at the bar and the low conversation I was in chill mode and ready to eat. First I started with the buttered garlic frog legs which were so good. Frog legs I’ve tasted in the past had a tainted taste to them and I really shun away from the whole frog leg experience but the description made me curious to go ahead and try again. Y’all the meat was flavorful and the butter sauce just made them melt in your mouth. They came out hot and ready which made it even better. I had the snapper for my main meal with crawfish rice with crawfish tails within the rice. The service everytime I go is always on point. They are down to earth and it’s a laid back feel. The Skatium hosted a huge event to honor his legacy. I went early and spoke with the manager asking what the cost would be for his family to come and just observe the celebration and she said we can come in free and I explained to her it would be about 10 of us tops. She, Abby, told me it would be best if we all came together at 8 when the event started. When we arrived they went to talk to the night manager who pulled me to the side and told me that they were aware of what Abby said but the owner said no to the family getting in free even knowing their manager had informed us otherwise. MEANWHILE the skating rink is decorated with "ICE" everywhere including his skates in a glass box, screen play and tons of people and the owner refused to honor a 100 dollar commitment. Yes we paid to get in and yes it was 12 dollars but it is about principle and respect for the person you are making your profit from this night which is GERALD "ICE" ALFORD. I cant help but wonder whyyyy....he was so callous towards his family but willingly took the profits. I KNOW this is the only Skatium-Ice rink here but just know the owner doesnt care about our community nor our legends. RIP To my cousin ICE the baddest dude I ever saw on skates....

They have all the makings of a very solid, chill spot to relax and have a drink in an upscale feeling environment. The 3 would have come from the fact that the pours/drinks are a bit pricey, but then again we’re talking about a quite nice bar in the downtown area, so that’s not overly surprising. I can’t imagine what their overhead costs are in this area. This place is a solid 4 if you disregard pricing. The atmosphere is just comfortable and completely chill. So with pricing, I was at a 3, but then I had to factor in service and that put it up just enough to earn a 4 star review. Our conversation with one of the owners “talking bourbon” and relating to the struggles this past year as a business owner during COVID-19 restrictions turned out to be a great interaction. He was respectful and gracious. We can’t wait to return and next time we’ll be sure to invite a few friends to share in the experience with us!
