My rating is a little lower due to some guest experiences we had but overall the restaurant was nice and food was OK. We got the Pretzel as an appetizer and it was good. The sandwiches were ok (in short, their suppliers cause flooding changed) but not exactly what we ordered. They had a nice selection of craft beers as well. As pictured with my review is their "chicken philly". It was OK but we weren't told about meals not being as stated due to there supply shortage.The sandwich I received is basically a chicken sandwich with cheese and bacon. The fries were delicious though! It seemed as though everything we ordered was slightly different then what the menu said. Our server was great and had a nice sense of humor. I would give this place another chance once they're running at full steam again. Like I said it was a great place but just had some short comings due to the recent flooding but glad they were still open! I would recommend trying them out if you're in the area!

Man I’m glad we did. This place sits right on the side of a creek. It has a great outdoor deck and sits right over the creek. They had a great cocktail selection and a menu with a wide variety of things from fresh trout to burgers to Thai. Both my wife and I had just a great meal after hiking all day. So I went and got my ID waited in line again the first ticket booth came available and the other young lady took my card and swiped my card with out asking. I wasn't rude but she definitely was. However we enjoyed our time. But they need to stick with consistency and train the employees to handle their eye rolls.

The fries are mediocre like grocery store crinkle cuts. My wife's land and sea combo was overcooked grocery store chicken strips the popcorn shrimp was decent and the hush puppies love to be handmade but two of them were still gooey in the middle. I would go back for the burger but not what she had it's a little disappointing for the $70 it cost us. On the upside they do serve blue plate mayo at the tables and it's a first time we've got to try it and it's actually really good reminds me of two others that I have tried mixed together.

It was amazing from the time we opened the door. It was welcoming, comfortable and the smells were out of this world. Staff was superb! The steaks were delicious, the loaded baked potato was good, the mashed potatoes were not so great - tasted like they were straight from a box, no seasoning really. We love Waynesville and we're there all the time and we keep trying to make sure local business gets all of our $. We gave Bogarts a couple attempts, and honestly it just fell short both times. We've done the ribeye, filet, smothered chicken and a couple salads for the adults. The steaks were properly cooked, but the seasoning on them just didn't hit and both times I felt like the meat quality wasn't quite up to the standards it should have been for price. The sides and other meals felt like they were afterthoughts. Desserts looked great but when we tried them the cheesecake was chewy and my kids said the peanut butter landslide wasn't good and they'll eat anything made of sugar. Oddly the bar is just beer and house wines. I personally like an old fashioned when I'm eating a steak, but I won't turn my nose up to a nice beer. Selection was very limited on beer and I ultimately decided it was a water night on the second visit. Wife said the house wines were pretty much "meh". Waitstaff was great, though.

Hostess was nice enough and sat us right away. Drinks came out, my beer was cold, but my significant others Margarita was just OK. I'll just say the 7 oz filet came out looking like and 11 oz and tough. My chicken was grilled, but then the cheese was put directly on the chicken and then the mushrooms and undercooked onions on top of that, If the onions were grilled and put with the mushrooms on the steak, then placed the Swiss cheese and broiled until the cheese melted and toasted, then you may have a winner. Limited menu, pretty much has staple dinner food. The experience in a whole was okay and nothing to write home about. I could have easily cooked the exact same meal at home. It did not disappoint . The drive up to the Outlook is beautiful with numerous overlooks along the way. We went on a Sunday and avoided a lot of congestion probably because it’s not as popular of a day to travel as Saturday. There was still a full parking lot, but we got there early and got to choose a place in the Grass that was perfect There is not any food or beverages once you get on the parkway up to Water rock so make sure you pack what you need. Again DAV is an orginization, that helps Disabled Vets, through paid membership. The money from those memberships are used to support Disabled Vets. If I am accusng them of stealing Valor, i am willing to edit this and apologize. But just the verbiage alone, was a red flag, that this was not true. If any of you value Vets, and great customer service...DO NOT stay here. Again, I am willing to edit this and apologize if I am wrong. But I found zero proof that this is a Vet owned business. Because there is NO WAY, i would blast them or even post this. I would talk to them personally and express my issues and leave it between us.

The cabin had 3 queen beds, a master and 2 up in the loft area. The loft area has low clearance so it's a great place for kids because of the low ceiling - there is also a small TV up there. The location allows a great view of the stars and mountains surrounding it. If you are staying here for a long period of time you might want to bring toilet paper because the cabin only provides one roll.
