We paid about $30 something. First, I want to start by saying they have excellent customer service. Hands down the absolute best customer service I’ve experienced in a while. That holds high bc nowadays it’s hard to find. Flounder burgers: my son said it was a 9/10. He loved it! I thought it was good. I personally prefer freshly breaded seafood. Maybe it was freshly breaded with flour. I think they use a bread crumb breading. This fish tasted fresh for sure but the type of breading wasn’t my desired choice. Cheese fries: I’m sorry but it wasn’t good. It tastes like they slapped cheese on plain fries. I recommend using a different cheese and seasoning the fries with salt or old bay. Hotdogs: my daughter loved it. Can’t go wrong with the simple stuff. Vanilla ice cream: they didn’t have vanilla. My kids love vanilla and aren’t a big fan of chocolate. I told them that we can accept one chocolate since the machine wasn’t ready but they gave us both chocolate. Maybe it was a miscommunication. They didn’t like it. First I was greeted with the lack of parking and exorbitant fee to park. Next I was greeted by a sign that read only 6 customers are allowed in at a time "to protect the vibes". The drinks were good and I wouldn't mind having the same order again but I would rather not visit the store again. The environment was very loud and overwhelming. I would have liked to pet him but also curious about state rules regarding having an in-store pet at a location selling food. I feel that some of this was over priced. I spent $20 for 1 frozen large and one iced small drink which I feel is also a bit over priced (especially considering the other $20 expected by the town to park). If youre nearby and this sounds like your vibe, give it a try but I wouldn't recommend this place to most coffee connoisseurs. When we returned to the store an hour later, we were greeted by the owner who said " There is absolutely nothing I can do for you...these reels are packed with sand"...I asked him to show us and he took the reel apart and says he found a grain of sand.(I didn't see it at all) and when my brother said the one grain of sand should not be a huge issue, he immediately called 911 and reported us as trespassers, and stated "he wasn't sure if we had a weapon or not"..WE WERE SPEACHLESS! This Guy called the police after 30 seconds! So we politely decided to stand out front of the store and wait for the Kure Police. (the store owner now has locked the front door)...When the police arrived, we explained the situation, which they stated they have heard multiple times (more than multiple actually) and they were very sorry for our bad experience. I offered to open the reels and show them the inside (yes,they both fish too) and they both said the reels looked brand new with zero sign of any sand at all. I guess now you have the picture...The police stated this business not only took advantage of a local, but also a tourist at the same time. We all are aware of the recourse consumers can take, and they suggested it.. The Kure Beach police have my total respect and they truly showed the good of our area, from in front of a store, well known as, the BAD OF KURE BEACH. remember Saturday Night Live?? ...that's the ticket...like my wife Morgan....Morgan Fairchild... My husband and I went just to the Aquarium and it was $15 each there were prices for kids up to 12 years of age, seniors and military. There is a gift shop at the end before exiting to leave for the day or cross over to the Zoo but the prices were very reasonable, I purchased a stuffed turtle 🐢 and with tax and round up to go to conservation it was $14 I thought was very feesable. But go if it is raining, to heat the heat or to learn about the mamals and what the waters hold, go see the Aquarium there's never an age limit 😀
