Oh just so you know, you have to let them know its your birthday in advance to receive a discount. I didn't know that so...too bad. This is a nice spa to try for a quick massage and just want to hangout in their mineral whirlpool. My therapist was nice. Though the rest of the ladies in the reception can be more accommodating and informative. It was my 1st time here so it would have been nice to get informed about the facilities prior. I would have liked the pools to have been more quiet to be more relaxing but you could here screaming children because the location is shared with the hotel swimming pool. Although, it's so good that the spa has their own private pools that only spa guest can use. They provide a nice complimentary snack for the guests as well, which I think is nice. Though, I would suggest avoiding plastic (container and spoon) when its served to the guests especially when they are having them in the spa. If they are taking them out, paper containers will be ideal. I may visit here again when I visit Winnipeg but there are other better ones in the city.

First I must say, we both enjoyed our massages, no complaints there. James was great! However this place is a dump!! It desperately needs a renovation. The mineral pool area is far from luxurious. Honestly, the whole experience has gone down hill and the price is getting more and more steep. This is my 4th visit over the years, use to be way better. When we first arrived 5 p.m. check in, went to the men’s locker room it was INSANELY busy, packed where we had to stand there for 10 minutes to get to our locker area where guys had to change in front of another, shoulder to shoulder, it’s worse then a gym’s locker room…they clearly need to expand the area for the volume of people. When we finally got to the pool areas it was pretty packed too but manageable. Other areas of the experience were packed and busy too but tapered off in the evening thankfully. We went to the restaurant for dinner the food and service was fantastic. We got a great view upstairs near the fireplace. Portions were huge too. Our server she was amazing. Me and my partner stayed till close we went through the whole experience which was nice but near the end of it, it turned upside down as I tried to order a beer just after 9 p.m. for the poolside at the bar they refused to serve me as it was apparently to late… to pour a beer lol. Then on top of that two staff members were rude to me, laughed at me, then walked me out of the bar to get me out of there. I went to customer service right after that as I was upset they listened, took my information, and the manager offered me 25% off my visit which was a nice gesture. However, the bar staff the way they treated me (the paying customer) is unacceptable and should be reviewed. We still had an okay experience… the resto, pools saved the review but Thermea definitely needs to improve in some areas.

Not worth the $$. The spa is well structured in terms of proximity, the space is very zen and the vibe is there to help you relax BUT I found the pool and hot tub to be a little too small for the number of people that are allowed into the space and considering how full the spa was on a weekday on a hot summer day I know to avoid it during winter time and weekends. It can get overwhelming not being able to rest in the pool without being very close to someone else when you are trying to relax. After asking my mother in law about her experience in the rooms I was not able to enter she told me she did not enjoy it much either as the space was crammed and she though everything was too overcrowded and she felt it was not very hygienic, that is unfortunate because it was her birthday and she came from abroad I really wanted her to enjoy the place. We had to wait in turn to access our lockers as they were full. The whole experience is not very pregnancy friendly most rooms are off limits to pregnant women due to safety concerns, the pool, beach and meditation rooms were enjoyable. The people working the pizza shack are very professional and friendly, the food was really good! Would I want to visit again? Unfortunately I will have to as I gifted my mother a day pass for her birthday as well and I am definitely not looking forward for the crowds and queues.

First of all... forget the parking lot, your only their to park for a minute and be inside the next. Its not the whole point of the Thermea Spa. It WAS clean in the locker room and spa area! The staff was always kind. They are kind when your kind with them. Give respect because your a good person, not because you think some deserve it and others don't. Our waitress was not the most pleasant one and we still tipped her $20. Be kind! I also want to thank the staff for coming to my rescue very quickly when I started to feel dizzy and unwell after sauna and cold plunge. I laid down and lady staff with short blonde haircut quickly spotted i wasn't feeling well (i wish i remembered her name! Thank you!). They were on it really quickly with bringing me a juice box, putting towels under my legs, covering me with a warm blanket and talking to me until I felt well enough to get up. Finally on Monday the confirmation email showed up with my order as I had requested. The only issue is that on Tuesday another confirmation email showed up for when I had tried again later on Saturday to put my order through. I called on Wednesday but I was too late to get a hold of anyone. On Thursday I called again and when I spoke to a person there I was told that I had waited too long and there wasn't anything they could do to help me. They have a policy that refunds can only be made within a week. I was advised that I should have checked my credit card transactions to make sure that the payment was put through. (Transactions on my credit card were posted on the Monday as well) I'm pretty surprised at the lack of customer service I received, from Saturday to Thursday that's only 5 days not a full week, and the slow processing of my order online just adds more irritation to this whole ordeal. The biggest thing is that I now have to pay a much larger sum of money than I had originally intended. My girlfriend loves Thermea and likes to go on a yearly basis. I don't mind going, but after not getting much help and being stuck with a big bill I'll be having second thoughts about going anymore as well as doing anything through your website.

So I kept all my clothes and stuff in my suitcase and elevated off the floor... Also the train tracks directly to the side of the hotel had trains that blew their horn at 230 am... So sleep was disturbed 3 out of the 5 days I was there this is why I gave it a 3 star

As we were driving through Winnipeg we were getting tired looked for a hotel to have a rest. It was a Saturday and all 10 hotels we called were full till we got to fair field. The manager could tell how tired and frustrated we were with Air Canada and help us out and gave us a suite for a family of 4 so we could have a good night sleep before heading back on the road tomorrow. The room, the beds, the shower and even the breakfast was amazing. I hope that manger knows how much joy and relief he gave to me, my husband and especially the kids. If we’re ever back in Winnipeg again I would most definitely stay there again.

We celebrated our 14th wedding anniversary here and we cant wait to go back. We stayed in Belize and it did not disappoint. The room was decorated woth so much thought. The added coloured lights in the ceiling and around the room made the ambience and entire vibe fabulous. My favorite feature was the Jacuzzi tub, it was perfect for two and has some really neat features that others didnt. The steam shower/sauna was fabulous and the pool table in the room gave us no reason to leave. We added on the full romance package and had a delicious 4 course dinner. We were worried at first we'd be hungry but we couldn't finish all the food! We also booked a couple massage which didnt disappoint. The ladies knew all the places we needed taken care of and did so expertly. The staff was accommodating and was always willing to give us a tour, show us cool buildings around the hotel and tell us some cool history facts. The staff here are top notch and go above and beyond for their guests. The room was super clean, and the bed was very comfy. Highly recommend this hotel!

Not knowing of all the wild fires and every hotel room being booked for evacuations in Winnipeg. I was panicked! 2 am and Nowhere to go! Mariaggis was literally the last hotel I called after 2 hours of calling everywhere else. Get to the point……Lowell had one room open but it needed cleaning before anyone could stay. He stayed well after working hours to get the room cleaned up fast before our arrival. He was so incredibly generous! Want to watch something? There's a glorious selection of b-movies on DVD for your perusal. Our biggest complaint was the bed - black sheets with a burn hole on them, no mattress protector (we didn't dare look under the sheets after seeing that) and a huge sink hole on one side of the bed (which we found odd to be a queen in such a huge room). When we mentioned this to the front desk when checking out (early) in the morning, we were told he was unaware of the issue because he "hadn't slept in that one." What?! He offered us a gift certificate for a future stay, which we absolutely politely declined. He said he was going to have the owner contact us but, surprise! That never happened. An instruction sheet in the room reminded guests not to approach other guests in the halls (do I need to say out loud the type of people who approach others in the hall?) and that any extra guests, no matter the duration of the stay, needed to pay an extra $56. They informed me that the gift certificate can only be used for the room, not for services as well even though it said suite/services on it. They even called the manager/owner? and he said the same. So needless to say, feels like a bait and switch with the gift certificate and then again with the website promising things that they wont give. I didnt expect this kind of nickel/diming and baitswitching from what is supposed to be considered an upscale hotel. I have to pay tax on top so if I now get a more expensive room with the gift certificate, it costs me even more on taxes. So now instead of being excited about a romantic night away from our kids, im scratching my head wondering how to move forward with this gift certificate.

They check every box, beautiful spa like atmosphere, friendly but most importantly they actually care about the quality of work.
