The treatment I had was the Deluxe Hydrafacial a 60min session. I was thoroughly looked after, made to feel comfortable, and left feeling incredibly refreshed and relaxed. When there was not a single client in the entire spa… I went for the package of Hammam and 60 mins massage…. Nothing special for an excruciating 1200 QAR !!! There was nothing relaxing , everything made noise , the bath tub does not make sound of the elaxing bubbles but a machinery sound, same for the massage table, although i lt had a pleasant lower back heat. The slippers they give you are shocking when you pay that price, the least i expect are hotel grade slippers. Overall very disappointing, im sure Doha has much better spas to offer

On my first afternoon arriving Mushdi (apologies if I mispelled) gave me a tour of the gymn (great machines with little screens that tell you if you're too quick or not and brilliant views) and changing facilities and then was given a tour of the spa by the ladies there which includes steam and sauna for guests. Faraj and Daniel were also great as lifeguards in the pool in the mornings and evenings and very friendly and helpful bringing towels and water and always happy to have a chat or take photos for your insta (not me!). Quiet time in the pool is first thing in the morning 8 until 10 and 6-7 in the evening if you want to go when less/no people are around and possibly have it yourself! But generally pretty quiet in the winter and gets busier in the summer. And final thanks to Kawtar in the spa for recommending the ultimate hammam and for being so friendly and Janet for the massage and hammam. All the team were wonderful!

I notice in precious reviews the same comments were made about the room being cool. I mentioned the room was cold and the ladies were kind and adjusted the temperature, after the second adjustment we asked for the AC to be shut off in order to enjoy our massage. Next, this unfortunately was the first massage I did not fall asleep to.. at the end we were asked if we had, they were very polite which is why thr four stars are there but in my opinion this was not a good massage. It actually was considered a relaxing massage and unfortunately did not achieve that.. sadly. Additionally, I could hear our massage therapist talking to one another a few times while the massages were happening and it became distracting whenever it did happen.. maybe that can be corrected. We also could hear outside of our massage room other conversations. We also, were not fans of the temperature of the products used on our bodies. The lotion or oil was cold and maybe room temperature sense the room itself was cold. Maybe the products used can be stored in a area that is warm? Lastly, when they hands were washed, empty soap bottles were left behind on the counter by the massage therapist additionally one of the two ladies left their chewing gum on the counter.. in person its easy to smile and say the service was great, because everyone was so kind. But again this review is to bring awareness so others will know what to expect. From the 4.4 stars, I almost decided against booking. My friend asked me one more time before walking in but I decided to give it a chance. If I am being honest I will not be returning. It was not sanitary for gum to be placed on the counter, I accidently touched it.. very unacceptable. It was nice to have the shower directly after. I wish this experience could have been better, I hope the ladies comtinue to get better with their services and pay attention to detail. Thank you.

Location is lovely, right on the beach, 15 mins from airport and beautiful views from beach and pool area. Parisa restaurant is excellent with great service and lovely food. Door staff are very efficient and friendly. Hotel in my opionion lacks atmosphere. It s very arabian in design which is really nice, however something is missing. We had an issue when we arrived with our room type, and after an 8 hr flight and a different time zone, we did not need the unhelpful attitude of the check in staff. We arrived close to midnight, exhausted, and had to argue with the front desk staff to get the room we had booked, eventually after 40 mins they found a room. We were told the hotel was complety full and our room type was not available, so not my problem!! Never in all my stays in Hotels have I come across an attitude like this, we were completly taken aback, and it wasnt until I said we would contact our travel agent to see what was going on that they sorted out the issue. We were contacted the following evening by a guest relations manager, however the damage had been done at that stage. I feel the staff here are not trained as well compared to other Doha Hotels, breakfast was rushed and food quality only fair. We were a little disappointed , maybe my expectations were too high, as most reviews are all very good. I dont know if I would return, maybe the night staff were having a bad night, the night we arrived.

They were always happy to help. The swimming pools were a nice temperature and were big. The beach had lovely beds, although you did have to pay for certain ones. The rooms were clean and spacious, with lovely balconies. We did have an issue in that there didn’t seem to be any cold water in the sinks, so we ended up cleaning our teeth with bottled water. There was a bit of litter throughout the sea / beach, but the water was warm and it was great to swim in. My kids and I never wanted to get out! The food especially the breakfast was fresh and delicious and we never had to wait a long time when we ordered something to eat. My 16 months old son had a wonderful time cause he had many baby friendly options to play and to spend his time at the hotel. We booked this hotel with our kids in mind. And we was very disappoinded. There is nothing for kids to do other than a kids room thats is old and minimal. The kids pool is very small. No entertainment for children or adults. A big hotel but nothing to do. The Ritz Kids program is not excisting. The entrens to the gym is complicated and the spa is a sauna and steamroom. No supermarked at the hotel or near by. A good hotel for adults but not for familie with kids. The manager told us at we would get a room with a good view as a complementary upgrade from our standard seaview at the 20th floor but we ended up at the 12th floor. The hotel is very clean and have a very frendly staff and amazing service.

Dispite those, we would come back to the Al Messila, and buy a day pass at a private beach like Beach Club for one day of beach during our stay. Uber is dirt cheap in Doha. Al Messila hotel quality, food quality, and staff friendlyness were some of the best I have ever seen after about 500 Marriott nights.
