Tessa was wonderful and SO helpful with suggestions around town and things to do. Daniel did an amazing job with our tour and was super patient with our 2 year old that was just not having it. Lastly, Bobby... she was incredible. She gave such an awesome trolley tour and was also really patient with our kids. When we got back, she helped my daughter do the sluicing and pointed out the different stones. She is so knowledgeable, and she added so much value to our stop here in Hannibal. The campgrounds were beautiful, had laundry facilities, showers, clean bathrooms, and a few play areas for our kids. I wish we had time to do Cameron Cave, go down by the river, and the winery...but it only gives us a reason to come back. The only negative thing is the play equipment was a little run down and the shower curtains were kind of gross. All in all, I can't wait to come back to visit. Truly a beautiful piece of history in this little town.

Warren and Juan were fantastic. They are involved in a labor of love restoring the Rockcliffe mansion. The money they get from the guests who stay is poured right back into the project. I recommend showing up at 4 the first night for the tour of the mansion to get to know the place before you stay. It is well worth it. It has one of the best views of Hannibal. Jaun did a fantastic job showing us around and relating the stories of the mansion. The script writing was aided by one of the Cruikshank children, and it was marvelously done. There are some trail markers throughout so it's hard to get too lost. We wished there had been markers in a couple of places where it was unclear where the trail was, but we figured it out. We hiked the trail clockwise, and it was a little confusing when we got to the most southeast part of the trail. There was a wider path that we started to take before we looked at our AllTrails app and discovered we were no longer on the trail. I guess that's a service road or something. The trail is pretty well-maintained through most of the area, although there were some portions near the end where it was rather narrow and a bit overgrown. Fortunately it was fall so we didn't pick up any ticks.
