For ladies night , a list of complimentary cocktails was available by order at the bar , which you had to go and get directly, however not options of sangria or any beers were available , (no fun for people who don’t drink hard liquor). Our server, Manoj Kumar was kind , helpful and very attentive to our every need. To start of we ordered one white wine and helped ourselves to the drinks at the bar . We ordered the white wine prawns , a true delicacy!! Succulent and tart with the creaminess or the cheese and tang of the wine. Finished off with capers. We also got their cheese board , a true classic wine pairing, it had 5 types of cheese , 3 of each kind , honey, walnuts , prunes apricots and grapes , served along with few crackers. This was a highlight C the honey paired beautifully with each cheese and the creaminess of the Brie went well with the dryfruits . For mains we order agli olio which was far too spicy for my mother, so they kindly took it back and prepared it all over again without red chilies. The prawn with the saffron rice had to be the best, the mild tomato and olive curry with the aromatic rice went very well together, the wah bury was far more than needed to satiate us. The mushroom truffle risotto was very well made , you can never go wrong with it. We also ordered the assorted bruschetta platter, which was just okay, nothing out there . For dessert we got the brownie sundae , butterscotch and vanilla icecream paired with chewy bits of brownie, delicious!!. While we enjoyed the amazing beats played by the DJ, we got more hungry so we got tempered to order their signature khari roti, and it did not disappoint!! Reminded me of an XL khakra. I have been to hook quite a few times and every time my experience has been amazing. The staff is super welcoming and helpful.
