We were a little sticker shock from the half chicken option but wow it is a lot of food and tasted so amazing we would easily pay that price again. I think the owners could learn a thing or two from her as she was doing a great job on selling us all these options and ended up making this place a favorite of ours. Only downfall we experienced was the desserts weren't sweet enough for us and the outdoor patio had the sewer smell going on. I think if the girl running the register wouldn't of been so friendly and accommodating we would have enjoyed the atmosphere as much.

The space and atmosphere were very nice, perfect for dining. The food was just okay with its ups and down. Highlight was probably the chicken skewer; cooked nicely and very juicy. We really enjoyed everything and wine! Who doesn't love a good Oregon wine to go their dishes. Great! Only thing we didn't care for was sitting on the enclosed patio. It would've been ok, if it wouldn't have been for a couple things. There were two separate large parties sat across from us, both trying to talk over one another so it was extremely loud in the tent and since it was raining, I was continuously getting a drip, drip, drip on me throughout our meal. Having to shift around every so often. We all remarked on the plates, the metal plates. Did not like them, felt cold, hospital plate and didn't go with the quality of your food. But your food is so delicious it would have been nice to have it shine and be see on a proper plate. Also to of gotten new, refreshed plates mid meal too. The recommendation was spot on. TarBoush is located in a historical style house on a street with tons of fun vintage shopping, so we made an afternoon of it. The house has beautiful tall ceilings and lots of character. This would be an excellent place for a date because portions are shareable and they don't rush you at all, so you can leisurely enjoy coffee and dessert. We got the mezze platter (pictured), which came with fresh hot bread straight out of the oven, and a lamb kabob plate with an additional chicken skewer. The mezze was not only beautiful, but it was probably the best labneh and baba ghanoush I've ever had. The mezze can easily serve 4 or more. The lamb was so tender and well seasoned, and we are from Central Oregon, where lamb is easily available, but I've never had it this good. I highly recommend ordering the lamb! Chicken was also delicious with a nice fresh citrusy marinade. Service is attentive but not intrusive, and very homey and warm. We ended our meal with Turkish coffee, mint tea, and a baklava with orange blossom water, which was perfect (and such a generous portion that we ended up taking some home). Some crispy and soft bits and it went so well with the rice and veggies. Ali gave us a baklava when he heard I was from Hawaii and went out of my way to try them out. The baklava was so good! Soft delicate crispy layers and an intense and sweet center. It all was held together with the gooey sticky sweet topping.
