Excellent local farmers market! There is a variety of stands, including a good mix of local produce, specialty items, and hot food/coffee. This particular farmers market is enormous! But I still felt myself wanting more. Although there was music, some food and a covered pavilion to sit and eat in the shade, it would be really nice to incorporate some additional activities for kids… bubbles, chalk, face painting, or even just a handful of booths geared more toward them. I also feel like there’s still a ton of open space left being unused. Plenty of room for more tents, food trucks, tables with chairs and umbrellas, etc. I personally went for hanging plants but didn’t find any.

This may be a smaller market, but it sure is mighty! My favorite aspect (besides the wonderful vendors) is how SNAP and WIC friendly this market is. A few times throughout the summer market the WIC office comes out and helps the women and children with farmers market checks what help the farmers get their food into more people's bellies. The market master/manager is always super friendly and helpful. Another awesome aspect is it's open until 12:30 when most other markets close earlier. This is awesome for this those whom just can't make it earlier. Thanks for having such a wonderful farmers market that truly cares about the people. We love you!

It's a good looking building, but I guess most shops are only open for a handful of hours around lunch - I think? Only a few places were open at 3:30pm on the Friday I looked around, anyway. The market has restrooms and an ATM; plus free wifi, or at least poster signs give user and password logins (didn't check if they were working myself.)
The data that Google Maps has for the restaurant vendors (and other orgs) listed here looks like a disorganized mess. Google Maps seems very unsure which vendors are actually closed rather than open; and for those open, Google usually seems confused by the hours. (So am I, and the Mall's webpage definitely doesn't resolve that.) Somebody who cares about the Market, and who knows it well, should spend a little time trying to fix most of this on Google Maps, imho, for the benefit of all involved.

Great place to go if you are a foodie. This place has a wide variety of food vendors. They have crepe shops, Greek, Italian, BBQ, bakeries, dessert places, etc. It has a really fun vibe and the upstairs is ideal for families with small children. The Zionsville farmers market is the best farmers market in Indy in my humble opinion. It's well organized and offers everything your heart desires at a farmers market. From fresh fruits and vegetables that are delicious and grown with care, to fresh baked breads, herbs, flowers, snacks, drinks, and the live music just sets the tone. I’ve had some incredible food here: a whole beer smoked chicken and their carrot cake gelato are things I still think about years later. Sandwiches are tasty. However I do think it’s overpriced, even for the quality. It doesn’t keep me from coming back, but it keeps it from being a regular spot. Mmmmm, @goosethemarket was a great choice today! Everyone was polite and helpful even while they were very busy today. I stopped in for Yelp Elite Week and got a free together I purchased another. The sandwiches range about $10-$11 each. I got 'The Goose' which only seemed right since they are The Goose Market lol and I also got the 'Batali' yummmm. The Batali stole the show. It was very very flavorful. The aroma from the Italian seasonings and olive oils is enough to make your mouth water. My favorite by far. They also had cheese and chocolate samples to try. The cheeses were wonderful. My favorite was the wensleydale. It had a strong bite of ginger and a hint of sweetness from mango. It has a soft and crumbly texture. Eating it made me feel like the rat in Ratatouille when he tried the cheese and strawberry together lol. And the coffee chocolate mmmmmm. I usually don't care for coffee but it wasn't overwhelming and actually paired well with the chocolate. Goose The Market is definitely a place to check out for your eats and treats. I loved it and will be back soon.

Well day one of the Farmers Market 2022 and I was excited to get some fruit. Fruit was in the brain as I anticipated this day. It starts at 8. I get there around 8:37, perfect, plenty of parking, we'll be in and out in a flash with my bags with with fruits. Yes! Bring in the fruit! I have lived in Irvington for several years now and I love my community and this farmers market. I love the diversity of vendors that show up; food trucks, clothing, dog treats, crafts, fresh flowers, local companies, and many other wonderful participants.
That being said I feel as though the farmers market has leaned too far into artisan goods. I would really like to see a stronger presence of fresh produce vendors. The last time we were there, it was just two or three produce stalls out of a few dozen total. I think people expect a bit more than that out of a "farmers" market but that's just my opinion. I would love for all of the current participants to stay and there just be a little more diversity in the produce.
My wife and I try to go every time, and frankly we will continue to do so in the best and worst of times. We want to encourage community events like this. But we can support and also recognize that it's not perfect and express how we believe they could be better.

Had a fun time on the last day the fair was open this year. I didn't realize until this year i could get alcoholic drinks! Shower my i.d. one time and got a bracelet so I didn't have to show it again. You could buy as many as you wanted although I only had went in twice. They also have wheelchairs to rent for 25$ for the whole day which is nice because my elderly mother can't walk that far for very long. We enjoy shopping in the tents and getting out the food. My mom got an apple dumpling and ice cream she loved it. I found cheese curds which I was really suprised by never expected to get them at a fair. They were very good but they were 17$ for a cup, which was about a large size of curds I'd say from anywhere else. They had wood carvings which were pretty cool and very cute. We also got bobble heads made of ourselves for free from state farms tent. Which was awesome! I would definitely go to the fair again. Also parking is 10$ but it wasn't too far from the gate and we came later in the day. Also had to have my purse checked. I will definitely be returning and I recommend you try it as well ❤️

We came for a venue not the fair. My take away was that this place was busy this day. Parking was a mess. If you park on site they will charge you, then you will probably pay a venue entrance fee. They do offer pretty neat events like the gun show, Christmas shows, hockey events et. But be prepared to walk for anything you come here for. If you are in decent shape it's probably not a huge deal but for those overweight or aged or invalid this might not be the place for you.

The fair grounds hold lots of events. Obviously first and foremost is the state fair. But they also hold some other events too like the Oddities and Curiosities showcase and a drive through Christmas light show. I can't say I've ever seen the grandstands used. Maybe it's for some of the concerts held there... But all of the events are well staffed and crowds are handled well. The fair grounds are nice, clean and well maintained. My only negative is that having to walk a circle around a giant parking lot can get a little boring and hot. The area has a lot of asphalt. Some more trees around the area or teardown of unused concrete/asphalt could go a long way. They do have a tractor shuttle during fair days to help alleviate some of the walking though.

Pro-tip: the main entrance is across their parking garage. I couldn't get in through the glass doors on the north side of the building around 9pm lol.
The store is set up much more uniquely than the others and I love it! What’s not to love about the Indianapolis Zoo?
Having a membership for two years now, my family has fully experienced all the finest parts of the zoo over and over again.
The membership pays for itself after only two visits a year, and we’ve gone at least 10-12 times each year. From ZooBoo to Christmas at the Zoo are the iconic ones, but the times during the weekdays when there are no field trips or herds of children are the best for my part-time home wife.
My daughter has fed giraffes, pet kangaroos, had her face painted and ate Dippin’ Dots on her birthday, rode the train, watched dolphins splash her, gave high-fives at the plexiglass at the orangutangs, smelled flowers, asked why Flamingos are pink, and almost has a visual map in her head of the entire park.
Have I mentioned she just turned three years old?
My son is 9 months old, and he’s had a handful of times already at the zoo, and the amount of experiences the zoo has provided has sustained into our home with imagination zookeeping, making animal noises, reading out of picturebooks her favorite zoo animals, and instead of “Old MacDonald had a farm” it is now “Old MacDonald had a zoo!”.
As a former educator for 15 years, I have witnessed students who have had experiences outside of the home greatly enrich their education and their overall social capital. Having my daughter exposed to so much of the world in the middle of the heartland of Indiana, through the Indianapolis Zoo, I know that she will find her passions in helping conserve and create a better world for the next generations with the education she’s learning here. I am inspired to continue inviting her into these spaces, and I look forward to seeing the wanderlust my son will have for these escapades to the jungle and prairie and everywhere in the park.
If I could give 10 Google reviews with 5-stars, I would give so much emphasis on how essential it is to get a membership, show up and provide the story of the Indianapolis Zoo to embed into your children, and watch them become fuller with each visit.

What a great experience, went during the week, less crowded. It was our first time at the zoo. It was gorgeous. I loved all the places that you can and just sit and observe the animals. The park was so clean. I can't say enough great things about the staff, they were so kind and offered up all the events coming up at the zoo. We took the kids to the Indianapolis Zoo during a weekend trip, and it was a great time all around. The place is huge — you could easily spend half a day wandering around without realizing it. We saw all the big hitters: elephants, giraffes, kangaroos, and a bunch of others that I’m pretty sure my kids renamed halfway through (“Look, it’s a long-necked horse!”).
We splurged on feeding the giraffes and flamingos, and it was totally worth it — the kids were thrilled, and we got some great photos out of it. We also took them on the little rollercoaster, which they absolutely loved (and which gave us a much-needed break from walking).
The dolphin show was definitely the highlight — entertaining, well done, and a nice break from all the walking. The zoo was packed since the weather was perfect and they were handing out candy to kids dressed up for Halloween, so it had a fun, festive vibe (and a sugar-fueled chaos energy).
We grabbed some food from one of the stalls expecting the usual overpriced “theme park” meal, but honestly? It wasn’t bad at all. The fries, chicken tenders, and nachos actually hit the spot — maybe we were just starving, but still, solid effort.
All in all, 4 stars — great experience, awesome for families, and bonus points for not charging $20 for fries. Just be ready for crowds if you go on a nice day!

I've been to a handful of zoos in my life. The Indianapolis Zoo is my favorite that I've been to. The layout made for a wonderful experience as we moved from one exhibit to another. I also think the gardens and foliage planted along all the exhibits really added to it.
We went on a Wednesday in the middle of August. Crowds were light which made for an easy viewing of all exhibits. All the animals were active. Watched the cheetahs chase each other around. Then we were lucky to see them get feed raw meat by the zoo keepers. The dolphin show was fun. The tropical bird and butterfly enclosures were awesome to walk through.
I'd highly recommend making this zoo a destination if you visit Indianapolis.

I had an amazing time at the Indianapolis Zoo! We booked our tickets online, and it only cost $16 per person totally worth every penny. I didn't know what to expect and just really loved the museum. I can tell that they've made an admirable effort to include underrepresented artists. I also loved all of the pairings of different art pieces so that I could really think about the pieces and notice new things. This museum is also perfect for children! What an amazing job they've done at helping students cultivate an interest and connect with art.

We saw Remington's very first bronze in "Attitudes: The West in American Art." (That bronc rider doesn't stand a chance--he's lost one of his stirrups.)
We saw all kinds of contemporary beadwork in "Radical Stitch."
There was tons more Native art upstairs, from the coast to coast up to Alaska and Canadian tribes.
Plus, there were interactive activities that I just had to play with.
We spent about two and a half hours there and explored just about everything.

This museum was PHENOMENAL. The variety of artwork was amazing. We really enjoyed how the museum showcased not only “conventional” native artwork, but also made a point of showing how native artists use traditional techniques with modern materials to highlight issues that they currently face in today’s culture. Definitely a great place to walk around. They have lots of sculptures and random art pieces around the property. Even without going inside this place has a lot to offer. Their grounds were clean with a peaceful atmosphere. Outback they had multiple sets of corn hole/bags which was a nice thing for the kids. I’m not a art expert but I enjoyed the Eiteljord. Lots of beautiful American Indian artworks, Western paintings (including lesser known Georgia O’Keeffe pieces), sculptures, and other interesting displays. I enjoyed learning about the creamery and milking process during our tour. Miss. Brynn was attentive to details; friendly, patient, and knowledgeable about the entire process. We started out in the farmer's garden where all of their produce is grown on the premises organically. We met two cute calves named Hildebrand and Mango, who were just chilling in the barn. There was lots of walking throughout the property, and at the very end, we got samples of their delicious vanilla ice cream. I also ventured up through their restaurant to use the restroom, and it seemed so quaint. I would love to go back and dine with them.

I feel somewhat bad for giving this place only 4 stars because, on a personal level, it definitely deserves 5. The merchandise is fascinating and is worth enjoying even if you have no plans to buy anything. I recommend bringing at least one friend, because you will definitely want to remark on your finds with someone else. There are multiple restrooms on opposite sides of the warehouse, and I've never met anyone who was disappointed with their experience.
I do want to prepare people ahead of time... the prices can be somewhat higher (which is dependent on each stall, since there are multiple sellers), the warehouse is large, and there aren't really designated places where you can rest your feet (of course, many seats and chairs are being sold, but I hesitate to sit on anything that I haven't purchased regardless of whether or not there is signage). I don't have too much trouble wandering through the entire place, but your older parent or younger child may get worn out long before you finish browsing, so keep that in mind!
This is one of my favorite places in Indy... please check it out if you get the chance!

Such a cool place for the community to go to! So many venders food and fresh food! All the venders were so nice and had such cool items to sell! There items such as fresh produce, fresh home made bread, soaps, skin products, and so much more! We went on a Saturday! It was busy but not bad lines for any of the booths since there was so much to see. Many kids were there so it seemed kid friendly. Lots of seats to enjoy the music, eat, or people watch. Parking was easy. But if you go later might be harder to find a spot. Were we parked, you had to pay. But it was SO cheap. I believe less than $1 for 18H? I believe there might be different venders each weekend! But not sure. Definitely recommend to visit!

I stumbled across this when driving around. It’s the best flea market I’ve been to, since it’s the most spacious and open. One negative is the rap music they played over the loudspeaker. A few booths were crowded such as one with men’s clothes so I couldn’t get a good look without having to toss some coats around. Still, I walked away today with two sports jerseys. There’s a lot of booths that show promise of having something good. The Elvis dollar and comic book one for example. Still, some items are out of reach and I had to maneuver one jersey hanging off a ladder that was being used as a ceiling. I couldn’t figure out how to get the Red Sox flags off the wall without ripping them so I just left them. One vendor approached me trying to sell his stuff so be wary of that. This is one of the shops we were most interested in visiting during a recent girls’ trip to Indianapolis, but we walked away empty-handed. The really good: friendly, helpful staff; lots of sizes and options; reasonable prices. The first thing you'll notice upon entry to this flea market is the constant beeping of a smoke alarm battery that needs replaced, as well as the pungent stench of mildew. Further in, you'll notice how closely the entirety of the building resembles a water-damaged basement, with many of the stalls strewn with merchandise that more closely resembles dumpster-dived trash, which much of it very well may be. There were only two or three welcoming people while we were There. It literally felt like we were about to be hunted down like runaway slaves. Avoid this business at all cost. I was loyal for several years until I trusted them with a large purchase for a designer set of sneakers. Eileen decided that the authentication of my purchase was not included in the price and only decided to inform me of this AFTER I paid.

Food was really good. The fried oysters are as good as most that you'd find along the Gulf Coast. The hush puppies even had some corn in them. Beans n rice was tourist grade but OK. It lacked identifiable chunks of sausage, chicken, bell pepper, onion, and celery like it would have if it was home made. It was offered as a side, not an entree, though and it had a good flavor. They are in a food mall inside an industrial type building. Atmosphere is strictly functional but they offer some outside dining. Staff was very nice and helpful. I didn't see a sign advertising them outside. Just trust your GPS. Go in the doors under the AMP sign and go straight to the back. You'll be glad you did.

Just thought I would post a warning that they advertise that they are open until 8pm but I arrived before 7:45pm and they initially told me they were closed. When I questioned it based on the online posted time, they said they could go ahead and make it.
