When they called my name, I came up to take both of them to the table we had outside. I tasted each one and couldn’t tell the difference between either one. In every single one of my encounters at the Joe Van Gogh on Broad St, Staff is always rude and unwelcoming. Although the cafe isn’t extremely large, and the line for the pastries was so long it was blocking the door customers and the cafe staff were kind. So happy that we decided to stop in with them! They are just outside the main chaos of downtown and parking was so much easier. He did not stay at the register so he immediately walked back over to the little group and I had to remind them that there was an additional customer behind me that needs assistance. The restaurant was filthy. There were dirty dishes everywhere. They are completely out of the green tea and when I went up to go, ask them if they had anymore, they didn’t which is what it is I guess. Durham's 9th St location is OUT. Have left reviews about this location before; the food for this visit (over the weekend) hit an all-time low. Cinnamon Crunch bagel was about 1/2" thick, not fully baked (still doughy) & topped with something OTHER than cinnamon (if you've ever baked pumpkin pies you'll recognize the taste of AllSpice; I did). Tasted rancid, but figured I'd "touched" it so had better eat it. Mistake. Was sick for the next 24 hours. There are BETTER breakfast (or lunch) establishments in the immediate area. Go to one if them.....
