We booked the rooftop for some drinks and arrived ordering some beers and cocktails. Beers were no problem but the cocktails were still missing 20 minutes later. We follow up on the cocktails to be told they had run out of ingredients for those cocktails and in fact we had to select different ones. After doing this the member of staff returns to say there is no record of payment so could we prove that (we were not offered a receipt at any point in this process) Finally this gets cleared up and the cocktails arrive. In the meantime we ordered food and in a good amount of time 5/8 meals arrived. After 15 minutes the other 3 still hasn’t so we enquire about the whereabouts of these meals. Two arrive immediately having clearly been sat there waiting with no staff. The other arrives in another 10 minutes piping hot and clearly forgotten about until the moment they were reminded. Overall I believe the individuals do their best and they deliver fine drinks and average food for a large price however the communication is horrendous and there is clearly a fundamental problem within the staff that needs someone far more clever than whoever is currently in charge to fix. I would recommend for an expensive beer but nothing more.

Don't let them fool you into thinking those abominations tasted good. Meat one was ok though, apparently the chef was from a good restaraunt who cooked it, so no wonder.

The standout was the chickpea and carrot snacks, they had a bunch of things going on and surprised us a lot! Everything else had lots of flavour but still lacked something and didn’t really have much variation? All tasted quite similar. Quite large portions though which was nice. The monk fish (5/5) – so delicate and light and perfectly cooked, the potatoes (4/5) – very delicious but some were still quite hard (raw) in the middle and for dessert the mille feuille (4/5)- very nice but not wow and the lemon meringue pie (5/5) – really yummy, very lemony which I loved

Thought we would kick off my birthday treat week with a large sushi platter. Disappointed it only fed one person instead of two. Paying the equivalent for a sushi platter to share in Melbourne would have been more than ample for two. Not satiated in the least. Lovely sea views of you get a good seat. Nice drinks selection and the food was excellent. The table waiting staff were friendly/smily. However, as happened previously, during our meal, a member of staff wanted to take down our sunshade parasol. It was still hot and sunny. Previously we declined but the guy insisted and literally climbed to kneel on our table, next to our food and drink, and reached over us in order to pull down the shade. This was despite our objections. All the bits of sand, dust, tree fall, bird droppings etc etc which had gathered on the parasol during the day dropped down into our drinks, food etc. And the staff just shrugged! This second time we were approached, again sun out, food just about to be delivered, maybe 5pm time. I refused as our food was about to arrive. 20mins later, same guy reappeared saying his manager had told him to take it down "for cameras". This time I refused again, as I didn't want the same bad experience as before. 10 mins later, just as we were finishing, a different man was sent, and just literally removed the parasol infront of us. Luckily we'd finished eating. I asked to speak to his manager but no one came forward. I informed him, this was very very poor customer service. The reason was "cameras and security"....yet these still exist all afternoon, so what happens early evening that's different. They should consider either not having any parasols full stop, or have a policy of only taking them down on an empty table. For these reasons, I wouldn't go back.

The atmosphere looks so nice so decided to try next time. And we did. The vibe was so beautiful as we expected. We started with the bread and butter which were nice and soft. Would definitely recommend booking if possible, the bar was already quite lively. Tried 4/5 of their cocktails and everything was a hit for me! If I had to pick one, I would go for either Sparkling Paloma or the Mount Fuji highball. Both were a bit fruity but complimented the alcohol well, I am biased to grapefruits though. We also tried 4/6 of their sticks from the grill. One thing to note is I would probably eat quicker next time. Considering I went a on cold winter night, the food got cold pretty quickly. Favourites of the night were the Pork Belly Char Siu and Miso Eggplant. The char Siu tasted a bit different to the traditional flavours but still delicious and you can never go wrong with miso eggplant. The Wagyu was good but I think needed a little extra pinch of salt to bring out the flavours more. Lastly the crispy chicken skin was a letdown. I really wanted to love this one but the first bite was yum and it went downhill from there. It was pretty tough to eat and I felt a bit savage. We were pleasantly surprised with how friendly the staff were towards us. The food we ordered was very flavoursome and reasonably priced. There was a very entertaining singer here on the Sunday we were here which was a bonus. I’d come here again. The only caveat is that the car park entry and exit process is fixed as the car park is operated by Secure Parking. When I tried to enter the car park I had issues with the process as you have tap your credit card which didn’t recognise my card. I then called the number listed and spoke to a representative who provided me with a PIN code. When I was leaving the club I entered the original pin and I received a charge for parking. I then remembered I had seen a sign which stated if you spend $10 or more you had free parking. Luckily I could reverse back and parked my car and went back to the front desk and was given a single access code which I entered at the gate which wasn’t recognised so I called Secure Parking again and had a very painful conversation with the representative not understanding the situation, after a long conversation about the code not working and there shouldn’t be a charge they eventually opened the gate without any further explanation. A terrible last memory of a previously great day.
