Then second Waitor came & said there is a problem will change the biryani & get a new one for you. Second biryani was again same with the same quality of mutton. I waited for almost 15-20mins but chef was so so so busy that he didn’t came to my table. As a bribe they offered me a Firni complementary from there side but i left it untouched… I refused & tell them to take firni away… they said sir pls pack kar dete hai n all….I asked for the soft copy of my bill but still it’s not delivered on my mobile…. The plates and table setting make for a royal experience. The highlight of the food was the cook on the chicken, for it was so soft and tender I have never eaten more tender chicken before. Other dishes were alright, I liked the paneer kebab but it was very overpriced for only 3 total pieces. The Taftaan tasted more like a western bread but I liked the idea of pumpkin seeds added to it, however it was a bit dry in parts. The khamiri roti was the only proper disappointment cause it wasn’t like khamiri roti at all. It was actually tandoori roti. Sad cause I came mainly for this. Another plus point outside the regular food though was the papaya pickle on the table, which was delicious and had me complete it entirely. Overall decent food and there are some very nice options on the menu that I didn’t try so cannot write them off yet. But it’s all very overpriced of course and it is a very high budget meal. However the place has a more varied menu and is still a bit cheaper than Bukhara, the other Indian restaurant in Maurya. Food aside the experience was exceptional. The server was very helpful in explaining the best dishes to eat and everyone is extra hospitable and welcoming. And like mentioned earlier the ambience is one in a million kind of experience

We tried the handi veg dumplings biryani. It was good. Taste was mide, long grain rice. We had onions, chutneys & Salan with it. The quantity you can decide. They have mentioned quantity by weight & servings. We also tried the Kathal biryani. Kathal was soft but not juicy and a lil hard towards the endings. Kathal pieces and quantity should be more. This was ok. Service was nice. They gave us gulab jamun on the house. It was served hot and was tasty. We went around 3pm and had to wait for a table. It was fully occupied.

It is really a running restaurant due to the fancy name it carries over the years but to be honest I didn't quite like it as per the hype it has in the restaurant world.

There are a few actually. The one we captured sits outside the LIC building. I did ask his name but skipped my mind. He sits on the pathway and makes nice mini samosas and tea. Such a great lunch. We got our seat in a corner table in the ground floor. The makhni Chicken Burra was so tasty and creamy. The gravy was excellent and mouth watering.
