Disputed it with them which put us in an awkward position as a customer. We were told it was a cover charge, which is absurd because we shouldn’t have to pay to dine at a restaurant - there are several other restaurants to choose from. In a 10min period we were asked 4/5 times for our order and separate to this told 3/4 times about the specials. The whole experience felt rushed and we felt like they wanted us in, fed and out before the evening rush. Our order was taken (incorrectly) we ordered 2 portions of the cheese bruchetta to share, we were served plain. Again we queried, it was taken and then returned with a lump of cheese on each. Overpriced for 2 pieces of bruchetta and cheese- €14.50. As soon as we had finished our starters the mains arrived. Fettuccine, Spaghetti with homemade meatballs (?) Calazone and a Lasagne. All were tasty enough but nothing special and the lasagne had clearly been in an oven all day as by the time we had nearly finished our meals my friend was only able to begin eating... A bit dangerous?? Mid meal the waiter starting setting up a table beside us (squashing seats in, not sure how anyone was going to reach these seats?). He lifted a chair over our heads with my friend and I both having the waiter's backside in our faces!! No apology, no acknowledgement... plain rude!! It was very quiet when we went on a Wednesday evening. The menu is quite small, not a huge amount to choose from. The menu was generally quite expensive but food portions weren’t very big. The food was ok, some dishes were heavily salted, the bao buns especially were very salty. The leek hearts were fantastic so I would definitely recommend those. The dumplings were served cold which was very unusual for me and to be honest they weren’t good because of this. I think the sushi must be their specialty over the hot food as it was really nice and well presented. Cocktail menu was great, some really good cocktails (jalapeño lemonade) and well made classic cocktails as well.
