It’s free to enter though, possibly to control guest numbers. When we arrived, we were greeted by a friendly chap who said we will be seeing the Lowry 360. Wasn’t sure what it was, but we were led into a theatre and watched a 6 minute video of the famous Lowry painting of fans going to Bolton Wanderers football club! We highly recommend you do this as the video brought the painting to life! The video filled all the walls, ceiling and floor and you became mesmerised into the painting! It was brilliant!! We then saw the rest of the Lowry paintings and then saw the fabulous Quentin Blake illustrations! I’ve read many books as a child with his illustrations and it was fascinating to see them close up!

Amazing I would highly recommend Lowry 360 after you can walk around the gallery and look at a huge collection of his works plus there's some of his personal items. All for zero cost so be generous and put a little coin into the collection boxes. There is a cafe, restraunt, bar and a well stocked gift shop plus toilets in the building. A big thankyou to Neil who we met as we entered extremely sociable and explained everything we felt so welcome what a credit to the Lowry. If in Manchester it's a must place to visit.

The summer one was spectacular so went back from the Autumn one to celebrate my birthday. The walk to the restaurant through the casino could be off putting but it's worth it when you get to the restaurant. Everything about this is a pleasure, the food is outstanding (the jury's out on the suet pudding and mash but that could just be personal taste.) The wine is delicious and the service is faultless, if you're lucky enough to get Shiraz, you won't be disappointed, he's wonderful. The whole experience feels special and is perfect for a treat night, whilst not being hideously overpriced. Can't wait to try the winter menu!

The food was also good but not great. I had expected more of it. I had a chicken burger which was good but it was completely drenched in sauce. The bun turned super soggy because of it. When it first opened back in 2018, it was Dishoom’s first restaurant in Northern England, and since then they’ve set a remarkable standard of both food and service quality and certainly left me coming back for more. The interior is super impressive, cool and unique. Dishoom is based on the old Irani cafés in Bombay, and the interior is so large and feels like no other restaurant in the city. My go-to dishes are the Chicken Ruby with Basmati Rice and occasionally the Gunpowder Potatoes. The portion sizes are generous, and the rich spices of the curry are super good — it’s obvious they use great quality ingredients and seasonings. For drinks, again the selection is vast, with my favourites being the regular Chai and the Mango Lassi, which are both really good. There is always a staff member walking around topping up tap water, so you’ll never go thirsty. The pricing is a little high, but I feel it is worth it for the quality. Matka Holders can also roll a dice at the end of their meal to potentially earn everything for free, food and alcohol included, during certain times. This makes it all fun, being able to put the meal on the roll of a dice. Due to having an allergy, I can scan a QR code on the menu for the latest information, and all the staff members are well trained in dealing with allergies. They’re aware of coeliac disease and the danger of cross-contamination, and always keep my items separate from my friends’ when I dine in a group. Overall, this is one of the places to be in Manchester if you’re looking for good food with fantastic allergy awareness, overall ambience/vibes, food and service quality. It’s a place that you can go for a special occasion or even a quick lunch (although a lunch menu / meal-deal offer would make it even more enticing for sure!).

My friend said his tikka masala was average, nothing special but it wasn’t bad. When we asked for the bill, one of the waiters came over to us and quietly whispered how they want us to pay in cash, we said that we’d be paying by card.. he then sighed and begrudgingly brought the card machine over.

The food is always outstanding in this place their cocktails are absolutely delicious, my favourite is the lychee daiquiri 🤤 however the service is not that great. First visit- no attention, no side plates rather rude service we have raised this. Second attempt massive improvement. And on our third visit it was almost perfect. They waitress was kind , funny, apologetic but mainly she was keeping us up to date and gave us options. The manager was extremely nice, acknowledged all the issues and even offered additional discount as compensation. He also had a simple chat with us and when the business is busy that's what really appreciated the time he dedicated to us. That one minute be dedicated to us was very appreciated, and showed good customer service skills. One thing if the restaurant read this review is to work on the time when customer asks for the bill. On every single occasion we had to wait a long time and if someone is asking for bill that means they are ready to go and don't want to be wasting their time sitting around, it's frustrating. Overall happy with the place because they seek to be the best and improve. Highly recommended

She said she ‘didn’t know if they were doing them today’ and went away what I thought was to check. While we’re waiting we noticed that the menu given was totally different to the online menu and I mean the main menu now no the pre theatre menu ( as we hadn’t had that yet). So I was a little dismayed as I had like a coupon dishes in the online menu and was looking forward to that. We noticed after waiting a little while that the waitress who was going to check on the theatre menu was showing other guests to their tables and taking orders, so she must have completely disregarded us. Yet again we asked another young lady waitress about the pre theatre menu and she went away to check and brought us it a short while later. As it turned out there were no vegan options on the theatre menu and so we ordered from the main menu. Everything seemed to be going fine and then our appetisers were brought out. As they were given to us the waitress (who was very nice) said she had made a mistake and our mains were ready now also can she bring them out? I was firm and said no as I have a disability and have swallowing problems so eating takes me a little longer and so it would be cold. She said ok and went away. Appetisers were very nice. The mains came out and my daughters Vegan burger must have been kept warm from when it was made in error as the fries were cold, the vegan cheese slice was all dried up also. My wife’s burger was dried up, the fries were cold and the chilli was cold. I firmly believe they had been kept warm and they expected us to eat food made in error by the establishment. We asked for the meals for my wife and daughter to be re made and then after a grudgingly look they took them away to make them. The lady (another different waitress), asked if anyone was warm to take off the plate and eat it whilst she asked for the rest to be re made. 🤬 My sons and mine sausage and mash was cooked fine. No cutlery was given with the mains so we had to ask for it. The re made food was brought after a short while and my wife and daughter started to eat. They said the food wasn’t nice at all and the establishment is quite pricey (which is fine for quality food, which we expected). As my daughter ate her food she noticed that where we were brought in, the gap we came through with our wheelchairs (myself and my son are disabled) had been filled because they had put another table there!! They were a couple dining on the table. My daughter asked a waitress why they had put a table there and how were we to get out? The reply was ‘Don’t worry about it they can just move to let you past’!! We asked for the bill and they had added nearly £10 on the bill for service charge?! My daughter asked why and is it optional? She was told ‘Yes it is optional and she could remove it if we wanted’. My daughter said yes as service had been terrible. It should never been added. The bill was just over £90 and I’m sure the other chain restaurants could have provided superior food and service and so will not return again. We then had to go and ask the couple dining could they just move a little so we could get out. Very embarrassing! In summary: Online main menu doesn’t exist! Service poor! The food is quite expensive for what you get I think. You get a massive bowl of hummus (which was so nice and smooth) but the tinniest bit of bread to go with it. I really enjoyed the potatoes. Situated in a food hall upstairs in the shopping mall in Media City, Tandoori Delights is an absolute gem. They serve a variety of Halal food and soft drinks and are very reasonably priced. So same people just different name and aesthetics. Personally I say don't fix what's not broken. This place used to always have customers so we had booked a table but there was no need. The decor is just too bright, white tables and chairs where before there were more warm comfy tones. It does not look like a place where people can just choose to sit and have a drink, it just looks like a seaside restaurant. The sushi itself we really enjoyed, we had the 40 piece platter where there was two of everything at least and a nice selection no cucumber maki cop outs. We also shared the pumpkin croquettes and spicy edamame. The service was friendly and they left us to it to catch up which was nice just at one point could not see them to grab the bill. Overall sushi and service great but I hope these aesthetic changes don't negatively impact their business. I would say please paint the chairs red or a darker colour at least though.

I was surprised to see this place replace The Lime bar. Decides to give it a go. Solo dining is fine here. Sat at the square bar surrounding the sushi chef. Service was good (Sunday evening) and so was the food. Freshly main and very presented. As a local, I have been here a few times. Will update the pics every time.

Food: all great quality, big variety aswell with baos, rice, sushi and noodles. Atmosphere: as located in media city it matches the ambiance, well lit and good dining vibes. Price: decently priced though sensible for the location with happy hour deals for drinks throughout the week. Service: great service, went here as a big group and small, and staff were very attentive and friendly.

I ordered the mango spicy margaritas which I didn’t expect to be a frozen cocktail but it was so delicious! I ordered the tofu yakisoba and some salt and pepper chips, my friends ordered ramens and sides of gyozas and horomaki. The sushi was so fresh, the gyozas were perfectly crispy and so were the chips. My yakisoba was so good and the perfect portion. The food did take a while due to a printing error - this did not ruin our experience as the staff were quick to notice and let us know, they even got us some drinks on the house which was a lovely and well appreciated gesture. we ordered the Tokyo ice tea which was not too strong and the perfect level of sweet. We didn’t see the dessert menu as we were truly full but I will return soon for more !
